Leagues? How many people play this online?

I was wondering if anyone had a good idea of how many people play Tecmo Bowl Kickoff online? Also has anyone setup any leagues?

I want to play this online but have to go through setting up a wireless network with a router which last time I tried didn't work out so well.

Would it be worth it to set up to play this online? Or would I be better off just trying to join a league online with my PC and play the Tecmo bowl Roms?

There are a lot of good reasons to have a wireless network, but I don't know that I would set one up just to play this game.

My biggest beef about online so far is the set up--I have a heckuva time seeing who is online. I entered friend codes for everyone who has posted theirs here, and in a couple of weeks, I don't think I've seen anyone online, at least not that I could tell.

I've played about half a game so far in two attempts of random matches. The connection went down both times, and I can't tell who's fault it was.

This game needs a lobby badly, where you can tell who is online, and their connection strength.

All that being said, a league might work since you'd presumably be setting up times to get together, playing guys with good connections, and reliable play style.

Heh, funny that you've mentioned standards on teams. I'm trying to create the 1991 roster from the original TSB on my game, and since I have a few extra teams to work with, I've made one called the "Average Joes" that I'm going to try to create a middle of the pack team to use specifically on line. I have the entire 1991 roster in Excel, and I was going to use either the average value or the mode value (the value that occurs most often) for each stat value, but I think I'm going to have to limit that to starters only. With all the back ups, the values are pretty low if you include everyone.
