  1. Heh, you're thinking of "First and Ten." That team was the California Bulls, wasn't it? Their helmet logo looked like a backward Vikings helmet logo.
  2. Tecmo is great. I had a tough time installing, though. I had to download several times before it worked. I had a VPN connection open on my PC when I was trying at first, so I think it might have screwed things up.
  3. Guys over at NCAA Utopia are talking about playing it right now. My wife is watching the freaking Bachelorette right now, so I can't check.
  4. Another week has gone by. Tecmo's website is a joke.
  5. Looks like Backbreaker comes out on June 1, while Throwback still has the dreaded "soon."
  6. I've pondered the same thing myself, but what a dick move that would be by Tecmo, who have said that they won't be patching the 360 version.
  7. Nah, but it does royally suck after waiting and assuming it would release on both systems at the same time, and then this happens. I just wish Tecmo would say something. I can deal with a finite wait.
  8. Another week gone by. I'm losing my woody for this game.
  9. I sure would like the opportunity to pass judgement on this game myself. We've all debated ad nauseum what this game should have been, so let's just focus on the online part of the game, which seems to be the main target of the vitriol in this post. I think the inability to select your own playbook is a valid criticism. Some of those default playbooks were pretty dang tough to use. Every foray I've made into online play on any game has been a mixed bag, at best. For every enjoyable game I've had, I've played five against cheesers who live to exploit the game to run up their win count. Leaderboards have never meant a thing to me because the community is so frought with the cheesers. In the end, I stick to playing mostly folks that I know. Did you guys expect Tecmo to find the magic bullet that would cure online gaming?
  10. That's two Playstation Store releases and still no Throwback. I warned you, Tecmo. Stage 6-2 in Ninja Gaiden is just too dang hard.
  11. I got all the QBs with three minutes and change left. I got stuck on New Orleans with like five minutes left, though. I thought it was going to stump me there for a sec. I wanted to put Bobby Hebert instead of Steve Walsh.
  12. Heh, the MTV review is interesting. His complaints about the gameplay were especially funny. Everything he complains about--receivers dropping wide open balls, runners fumbling at seemingly random times (what does he want, a button for when you'd like to fumble?), stupid defensive AI, dropping back 20 yards and still firing accurate passes, are present in the modern EA Sports football titles.
  13. I was proud that I got Staurovsky correct on the first try. It took me a few to get Lowery, though.
  14. I saw it on Tecmo's twitter. No more concrete language than the PSN release, though, so I wouldn't get excited.
