I know its probably impossible to do this but does anyone know if its possible to hack in more then 32 teams? I would really love to be able to somehow do this so I can get a fuller NCAA football tecmo game together. I think getting 100+ teams would just be absurd but maybe 40 or 50 teams? Is it even possible?

I finally got some time to put those 1990's Tecmo games on my PSP. I was just about to start up a season with the NY Jets when I see no NY Jets listed on the game? So this must be an older version of the rom that came down before all the hacks came about. So I have a 1996 rom with no NY Jets,lol. Maybe I should just try to make my own 1996 rom hack of Tecmo.

Its funny because when I was playing with the Browns Stuckey was becoming my go to guy. And he was making some insane catches. The other day I was playing as the Seahawks vs the Pats and they blew my ass out. Welker was diving for balls and Moss was jumping for passes. They were unstoppable,lol. I even loved the part where Brady almost got sacked took off to run but stopped just before the line of scrimmage and tossed a TD to Welker in the Endzone. I mean I was like HOLY SHIT! Did he just do that??? This is why I love this game so much. As I said great job on the new rom and I look forward to playing it some more.

Is anyone else sucking as bad as I am at Buck's version of the game? I DL'd the juiced mode and have been trying to play a season with the Browns and have just been getting my ass beat! 1st game against the Vikes we got blown out 37-13. Next up the Broncos game. It was close throughout the 1st half and then Knowshown Moreno took the game over. Final score 42-10. The Ravens game was a horrible display and we lost 44-6. Finally I played the Bengals and the game was close to the final second. I wound up losing 20-17 after I decided to not try for the tie with a FG and got picked in the endzone. Passing is extremely difficult it seems. I'm guessing I should just try to use his non juiced rom until I can get some better games together. I must say even though the juiced hack seems super hard I do enjoy the fact you have to mix plays up to score. It feels like a real game and if you don't mix and match plays you will not win ball games. I really started to notice this in the Bengals game. Either way this is a great piece of work you have put together.

Haven't put the Tecmo Rom's from that site on my PSP yet but can't wait to try them. Love the fact Tecmo has such a following and guys are out there updating and tweaking the game on a yearly basis. As for Madden, I kind of just stopped playing it once I left the 16 bit era. I know its just football but I just don't like newer versions of Madden. The last few NFL games I did play on next gen systems were NFL Fever on the XBox and the NFL2K series. For some reason I was only a fan of the NCAA series from EA on the PS2. But I will always love me some Tecmo.

I was looking for Tecmo Super Bowl for the NES. I think that site has what I am looking for. I will have to try to download it when I get home and see what is in there. Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know if there are hacks out there of 90's era Tecmo Bowl? I am looking for a 1996 or 1995 Tecmo so I can try to rewrite some NY Jet history and take those abysmal teams to the top. Thanks for any help provided with this request.

Well whenever you want to get some heads together for this again let me know. I know I had to bail on this the last time but I am really looking forward to playing with you guys soon.

I haven't even touched TKO when it comes to customizing teams and such. Probably should and play through a few seasons and then maybe venture online. I do realize some guys are just better then me. Although I can't stand the fact that my lineman get destroyed every single game. Its really frustrating because if you can't put pressure on the QB its game over man! I have not played Tecmo in person man vs man since I was like 7 years old on the NES. But I'm sure it is alot better when your right there going head to head in a back and forth contest.

So I figure I would post a couple of game experiences I have had online. Last night I played twice and had two very different games. First game was my custom crap 96 Jets (really need to stop using them,lol) against this guys custom Chargers team who were just kicking my ass the whole game. I saw him use the LB lurch technique way to much. I would snap the ball and BAM! his guy would sack my QB. It started to piss me off and I almost just quit the game. But I decided to man up and take the beating. So I wound up losing 52-0. I tried to play another game a few hours later. This time it was the in game Denver team vs someone using the Cinncinati team. Much, much better game. The whole thing was close and I was up 7-0 nothing going into the half. Then he tacked on a FG and then was able to recover a fumble and score a touchdown. I had the ball with less then two minutes left and had to drive the field. Started at my own 25 and got all the way down to his 30 yd line with only :10 seconds left. I tried to go for the win and dumped it off to my WR on a 5 yard slant. I got all the way to the 5 and got stopped. GAME SET. Great game though. It seems if the teams are even somewhat evenly matched or at least you have some key players on one side against a powerhouse you can have some decent football. I do believe the creator of this WIFI stuff really needs to rethink the whole concept and make things easier then they are. I mean after that game I wanted to put that guy on my friends list since we had a good game. But I don't even see how that is possible. The game just ends and you back to the game matchup screen.

I just got my DSL connection up and running last night. I will post my friend code when I get home from work today. Looking forward to playing some of you guys. Haven't had anyone quit on me yet. But Ionly had it up since yesterday and played one full game without crashing the system.

HAHA!!! Same thing happened to me last night. First kick was onside and the guy did the same thing right back to me when he was kicking to me in the 3rd quarter. Punts also were a pain in the ass to complete. Glad it wasn't just me. I do agree with others on here about there needing to be a lobby or atleast better ways to pick up some games.

I have finally set up a router for my wireless network. And success I can now play my games online at long last. I first tried out Tecmo Bowl KO to see how it would play. After waiting for about 10-15 minutes to finally get a game it found one. We played for about 3 minutes and then the lag started in real bad. Play calls were being delayed and the game played very choppy. Then the whole thing just froze and crashed. I then popped in my copy of Legend of Zelda PH and attempted to play this game online. Everything ran perfect and the game was flawless. So I figured let me try Tecmo again. Wrangled up a game same thing happend. Tried again got another game played through it and got my ass handed to me 20-0! But I was happy to be able to at least play through a whole game. Best moment of the game was at the end of the 1st half. I was down 14-0 and my opponent was driving to another score he fumbles the ball and my LB Kevin Clifton (I was using the 96 Jets) picks it up and runs it back 80 yards and gets stopped at the 1yd line with no time left! So close to at least turning the tide but it never happened. I saw his team was much higher rated them mine. He used his custom Oklahoma City team rated around 7500. While I used my custom crap 96 Jets rated around 3500. It definitely showed as I put up almost no stats. Sorry for the long post and it kind of got off topic but it was a fun first full game for me.

Count me out for this weekend. My boss went to Texas and I have to run the store on Sunday. I am definitley interested in doing this one weekend. Let me know when you would want to do this again and I will try to clear my schedule.

I was wondering if anyone had a good idea of how many people play Tecmo Bowl Kickoff online? Also has anyone setup any leagues? I want to play this online but have to go through setting up a wireless network with a router which last time I tried didn't work out so well. Would it be worth it to set up to play this online? Or would I be better off just trying to join a league online with my PC and play the Tecmo bowl Roms?
