SNES Controller working on the computer

I ordered a device from zophar.net that allows you to use your SNES controller with the computer like a regular Windows joystick. I tried it out on Windows 2k and it didn't work for shit so I was pretty much thinking I got screwed.

Anyway, last night I was inspired to try it out on a Win98 machine I have and the thing works like a champ. I played a couple of pre-season TSB games and it was so much better than the controller that I was using. The control and precision pretty much kicked ass. Just thought I'd share......

How's the flow and speed of the game compare when using it?

Just haven't tried the SNES versions of TSB in rom format in quite some time.

I've been hoping for Dream SNES to run them well... that's my long term dream. :P

I wish I had a controler.. I've been using the damn keyboard ever since I started playing TSB. I'm happy I have an original TSB copy for SNES....

If my NES systems worked, I'd be trying to locate a NES cart..

How does this controller adapter thing a ma jig work anyway ?

Basically it is an adapter that plugs into your parallel (printer) port that has two sets of 5 metal pins coming out it. You can plug up to two controllers into the adapter, which is basically a small circuit board.

The rest is software controlled and this can be done with almost any system controller.

BTW, what is wrong with your NES system. I recently revived my from the dead and might be able to help you...

Yeah, I was looking at some devices like those, because GAWD, do those PC controllers ever SOKK the SOCKS OFF OF LISA SHOCK'S ROCKS OFF.... anyway, which one were you using, Rod, because I am in the market for a new PC controller (I can't stand you Gravis (and don't get me started on M$) ) , and it's either one of those adaptors, or these nifty looking Belkin controllers I looked at at http://www.belkin.com that actually have DIRECTIONAL PADS (as opposed to circular plastic bean bags). :P anyway. out.

What controllers do people use? I use the microsoft sidewinder 6 button controller and I used it so much with tecmo I had to go out and buy a new one recently because the directional button was kinda dead when I pressed the right directional button down (I guess I leaned on it too much playing Tecmo all the damn time)
