  1. Format: The competitors will be split into two conferences and play everyone in their respective conference once, unless each conference has more than 7 players in it, in which case they will play 6 games max. Rivals will be split into separate conferences. Mort and Lou will be in separate conferences. Ptitteri and Shermy80 will be split. Me and Hanging Chadwick. '91 Huskies and 6 Killer. The rest will be arbitrarily distributed by me in an effort to balance the conferences as much as possible. I will probably split B-Wagg and TBK in an effort to have an equal amount of chirping in each conference. Depending on how many fools show up, ill decide then how many will make the double elimination playoffs but it will be between 8 and 12 with everyone remaining battling for a consolation prize. I'll continue to iron it out as we approach next Sunday!
  2. Just to be clear. This is the ACTUAL POSTER from the 80s. It doesn't have the shit on it pertaining to the tourney. Adding "Dirty South" and a new challenger "Shermy80" who is coming up from P-town with Ptitteri and looking for action.
  3. No Gripsmoke! Noooo! But Louis be warned, EVERYONE frowns on skipping the halftime show out here. Even though TBK is talking a whole HELL OF LOT for a guy who is probably stumble his way into maybe one win on the day, I gotta say he's RIGHT. I haven't been hypin up the show. I guess I been busy with this shit that shit, and that's my bad cause this IS the Seattle Championship and the biggest fucking deal in Tecmo this side of the Cascades. More to unveil as we get closer to the event, but I do want to announce one major thing- The winner of the Tournament, in addition to receiving a major cash price, WILL walk home with the actual poster. Manyo suggested it way back when, perhaps jokingly, but its actually in my possesion and I'm handing it out to someone who honors the great Kenny Easley with their play September 3rd. So loosen up them thumbs, review some playbooks, and keep it locked here or @PortlandTecmo for more details as we approach the Seattle Championship Sunday September 3rd.
  4. I'm thrilled to have the hardcore Tecmoheads that I have in the mix for this so far, but I'm hoping to peer pressure all the local players to get in the mix and really blow this out in to an epic free-for-all. I call on YOU, my fellow TSB Warriors to let them know that you wish to war with them on the Battlefield that is the Seattle Tecmo Super Bowl Championship! I'm gonna take this moment to take a long shot and call out Randy aka Randalicious aka QB Fairfield aka The Human Highlight Film (it does not seem as if he even has a handle on this forum any more!) We had two great duels in the Tecmo Dojo last year and split them. Round 3. FIGHT. Seattle, Washington. This September. Let's do it!
  5. A former Seattle inhabitant and my long time sparring partner, Louis does not qualify as "some jamoke" nor would Peter this time around, though it would be great to have both. I am challenging all of those Tecmoheads out there seemingly begging for an excuse to visit our great town to book their flight and mix it up PNW style. I promise a great time and some great battles. Also, cool Louis, you got Uber in Buffalo like two weeks ago, now its a prerequisite for any place you visit? We got that shit. We also got the Sound Transit droppin yo ass off 2 blocks from Kessler's. Don't sleep on that gentlemen.
  6. I also updated the roster with some of the likely participants I have heard from. Shaping up to be a decent crew. I don't know if anyone knows ptitteri. He is pretty new to the scene, but he made the Madison trek and has been making a name for himself online. Also it sounds like TBK might actually try this time? I guess that's interesting. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm more interested in hearing if any more big time players like Gripsmoke join up or if some jamoke like Moonwalk is gonna roll in from out of town to try and shake things up.
  7. Locked down a couple details including the location and start time. It's gonna be at Kessler's Sports Bar. It's right off the highway exit in Cap Hill. Should be easy to get to, parking should be decent on Sunday, and like Skee-Lo said, the vibe is right. It's a hard core Sports bar with inexpensive brews, pub grub, proximity to DICK's, and the owner hails from Wisconsin so its like we'll be channeling Madison.
  8. Added a couple for-sures to the list. Brandon seems pretty dialed in. I got Louis to commit by bribing him with M's-A's tix. Mort is a strong maybe. WHO ELSE? I am going to start really rampin this sucker once I nail down the time and place.
  9. YO. Just so everyone knows, this tournament is still happening, and on this date. Just have no new details to report. Once I get new details locked down on a few things, believe me, you'll hear about it here, there, and everywhere. In the meantime, just try to git gud. I'd like to have some competition if possible.
  10. Regular season round robin is in the books. 1) Seahawks 4-0 2) Cheeefs 3-1 3) Cowboys 2-2 4) Bengals 1-3 5) Raiders 0-4 My Hawks await winner of Bengals-Raiders. 2 plays 3 on the other side of the bracket. Season Zero.
  11. The hype match of the season is of course is the "Tug Of War" between the Bengals and Raiders, both featuring the legendary Jessie Tuggle heading up the LB core.... Both owners when initially viewing the salary cap were like "Okay so Jessie Tuggle and the Falcons LBs, done. Now what can we build AROUND that...."
  12. Bwahahaha Kamp... I don't think there's any question High Smith has more of a chance of getting totes (tokes?) with the Chiefs.... Oh man, your array of nicknames would have Chris Berman jealous. I think my favorite is Bob "You Should" Golic
  13. Louis with two raffles.... Lol. Crushed it in Columbus too. The Raffle King! Wish I could have been at this one. Lots of great players, great partiers, and WHAT A GREAT FORMAT! Toolie finally breaks through. Awesome. One of the community's greats finally takes home a BELT! Guess he's the favorite to take the most prestigious title in all of Tecmo next month! Madison? Naw... TECMO VAN CHAMP! THAT'S THE REAL SHIT! We'll be gunnin for ya!
  14. The only place something this incredible could possibly go down. What's the problem Bo? Haven't you been looking for an excuse to show the Tecmo Van the country? ...Come on with it. Also, I wonder if its possible if Moonwalk will back his way into town to defend his crown. Who else wants to come tangle? No more excuses. Pimpin' Ain't Easley is the reason to come to Seattle for all of those that always wanted to.
  15. Sniped. TBK, the only thing I see you got figured out is how to lose gracefully. Practice makes perfect I guess.
  16. Tourney looks pretty stacked yo. Danny Stackz and other heavy hitters.
  17. FYI, to all the local Tecmo heads out there (and I'm not sure anyone other than the 5 of us peep this thread) this bar Tap Station in West Seattle is having a TECMO BOWL (not super) tourney Saturday Night 2/18. I got plans but the desire to run shit with Kenny Easley and his pink-ass Seahawks may change them.
  18. Most INTs + WRs left in heap after unwisely testing the middle of the field = Enforcer status achieved, poster acquired
  19. Seattle Tecmo Super Bowl Championship Sunday, September 3rd, 11 am Kessler's Sports Bar, 1703 E Olive Way, Seattle, WA 98102 Gather with me and your fellow Tecbrethren as we honor Seahawks Legend and new NFL Hall of Fame member Kenny Easley with some hard-hitting, ball-hawking Tecmo action. Format will likely be similar to other tournaments I have run with random matchups regular season followed by a double-elimination bracket to determine the winner. I will lock it down once I get a firm sense of the participants. WHOOOOOOOS GOT MY BACK? (I GOT YOUR BACK!) 1. DT (your boy) 2. MAD MANYO (highest possible prestige level achieved) 3. Kamphuna (tremendous amount of prestige achieved) 4. Tick (of course, going in pretty much the order of prestige I envisioned) 5. Tailback King (if he can crack the code of what day it is) 6. jessebaran (chimed in early, retroactively moving him up prestige chart) 7. XtraLargent (Donkey Kong will be there, baring highway hijinks) 8. red98sethut (officially in due to me bribing to make the trip by me promising him Mariners-A's tix, working on Mort) 9. '91 Huskies (Dan the man is in for certain) 10. InvaderStar (Michael Irvin- 88% chance of making it) 11. Moonwalk (lives in DC, looking into it!) 12. ptitteri (hardcore Portland player new to the scene, says he's #84 Brent Jones % in) 13. Mort (sure sounds like it, but I have yet to hear from Tecmo's Grand Maester himself) 14. Dirty South (Have we met? I think so) 15. Shermy80 (Not Richard Sherman, a Niners fan in fact) 16. Hanging Chadwick (my homie, a big-time maybe) 17. Boogie With Stu! (sounds like he's in fo sheez) 18. 6 Killer (a firm maybe) 19. tworsandtwols (been practicing, does he have the GUTS?) 20. Anyone else?
