View File Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold This is Tecmo Super Bowl: Gold. I started working on this Legends-themed ROM back in March. I delayed the release of this ROM for the simple fact that around the time of the originally planned debut, a glut of other "Legends" ROMs burst onto the scene as well. So as not to (a) get lost in the shuffle or (b) take away from the spotlight of other modders, I pulled my work. This delay allowed me to fine-tune this ROM into what I would consider the "gold-standard" of Legends edits (hence, the "Gold" title) previously established by my past Convergence ROMs. Each team is comprised of the greatest players in franchise history, whether it's based on talent, records, or the impact they left on the team (Players like Tim Tebow and Kordell Stewart are included for the latter reasons). In addition to the team rosters, the All-Pro rosters have been edited to contain the greatest players in the history of the National Football League. I've combed over this ROM obsessively. Hey all. Im working on my yearly TFO Rom and last season I started to give away the prize of placing text on the Tecmo Blimp that appears at halftime. So since I have my notes and couldn't find this on the boards I wanted to post it for others... and so I won't lose it next season when I do this all again So I like to think of the Tecmo Blimp as having 2 Lines of 10 "Spots". These spots are filled in with 8x8 pixel images. There are 16 available characters to use in these spots (not counting spaces). You would need to go in and EDIT these with your own images/letters/characters to appear on the blimp and one could have MORE spots by doing some edits on their own but I stick with the 16 as I haven't had an issue with it. I know there is more "real estate" on the blimp that could be used but since it shares a pallet with the background clouds I just stick with the two 10 character lines. When I was at the Detroit Kumite tournament last weekend, a number of players from the Cleveland area who I had never met before attended as well and we all had a great time! Many of these guys already get together a few times a year to play casual Tecmo Super Bowl at various venues. I collected emails and some cell phone numbers for players that wanted to provide one. This post is to see who would be interested in getting together potentially quarterly to play Tecmo Super Bowl and perhaps consider doing a Fantasy Football League in the fall for anyone who enjoys both Tecmo and Fantasy Football and lives in or near Northeast Ohio. If this is something that interests you, please message me and provide your email address and cell phone number, as I will be creating a text distribution group in addition to the email distribution list once we finalize the initial details. If you could also let me know ideas for places to meet, how many systems, cartridges, controllers and TVs you would be willing to share with the group, that would also be helpful. The idea is to simply get a group of great guys together semi regularly who enjoy both Tecmo Super Bowl and NFL football. Thanks in advance for your consideration. Tecmo Milwaukee Presents: Who's Next? Date: 11/4 Location: Boomers Sports Bar and Grill (Pewaukee, WI) Player field projected at 48 players. Max players cutoff will be at 64 players.Round robin of Division play followed by single elimination tournament. Projected Entry Fee is $40Game Rules: Tecmo Milwaukee rules/ Tecmo Madison rules1) Teams will be tiered in 4 groups of 7 teams. 7 Lotto balls will be picked from before each game to determine which tier teams will be picked from. (1 in 7 chance for Tier 1 teams to be picked). 2) Coin toss winner picks Lotto Ball. Coin Toss Loser picks matchup. Coin toss Winner picks Team or Controller. (Player can only choose a team 1 time during round robin play. Teams resets in tournament play.)3) Customizing Playbooks and Lineup Changes: Customizing playbooks is permissible. You can access your “change” screen (screen where you check player conditions and make substitutions) only twice per half. This helps speed up the games. 4) WR/TE at RB: A WR/TE cannot carry the football unless it is a reverse. You can insert a WR or TE into a RB slot for lead blocking purposes, but he cannot carry the football. To further clarify, players such as Ernest Givins, Ricky Sanders, Mel Gray, Keith Jackson and Andre Rison cannot carry the football unless it is a reverse. 5) No Ties/Overtime: No game can end in a tie. If a game is tied when regulation concludes, competitors will proceed to OT. If no one scores in the first OT, a new game will begin and the first competitor to score will be declared the winner. So that one competitor does not start with the ball in each OT period, the kicking team in the first OT will be the receiving team in the new game (i.e. the second OT). 6) Lurching: Lurching is prohibited. If you want to rush with a DL, you must either go outside the offensive tackle or “popcorn” someone on the offensive line. Note that this rule does not apply to LBs. 7) Nintendo Malfunctions: If there is an equipment failure in the first half, games will be replayed from the start. If equipment malfunctions in the 2nd half, only the second half is replayed. In that event, the scores from each half are added together to obtain a final score. If the game was uncompetitive or the equipment malfunctioned due to human error, the tourney organizers reserve the right to declare a winner without replaying any portion of the game. As Tecmo Milwaukee approaches, we are GBLAN are going to put the equipment through its paces by hosting a tournament a week from today. The stakes are low, but so is the cost to participate, only $10. Standard Madison game rules apply. Group play will be followed up with a double elimination bracket. So I know i'm not the only one and I know Midwest Tecmo, Northeast Tecmo and Madison Tecmo all stream their tournaments (which are awesome to watch!), but i'm throwing my hat in the ring, too, because... why not? I'm doing it, I might as well briefly advertise that I do. For a while I was doing Let's Plays on Youtube with newer roster edits of the original game (There's a thread for it buried somewhere), but editing is obnoxious and I grew tired of doing it. Plus I have a real 40 hour-a-week job, so I don't have the time. But I do have time to stream a few nights a week for an hour or two. Green Bay WI, 8-3-2017 6:30PM - GBLAN Presents, 3rd Beebe, a Tecmo Super Bowl Tournament My wife is due with our 3rd child at the end of August. This is the first available Thursday night after baseball season ends for those in our area. Thursday night tournaments have been a great way to get that accelerated tournament experience. Games are played on official NES hardware, or hardware clones with real cartridges, no rom dumps or emulation. Controllers are NES OEM, and games are played on CRT tvs. We can do up to 18 stations, but will likely have 10-12 setup. To this point we haven't had any waiting due to unavailable systems since moving to our Thursday format. Does anyone know the hex location for the Kickoff position for TSB Sega? Also, what the values might be (i.e., what to put in for each yard line)? I am a "noob." Please, be gentle.

I've found a lot of discussion on the best teams in the NES version but since the rosters are different on the SNES and Sega versions of Tecmo Super Bowl which teams are the best and which are the worsts?

Does anyone whats the latest update on this rom NFL roster wise? i will take anything that is the lastest. i would appreciate it thanks in advance.
