Has anyone ever tried playing a season scoring points only by safeties? I've done boatloads of 'defense + special teams only' seasons, but this new idea -- if it is new -- intrigues me. I'd like to try this out with Mariota's Titans, using TSBorg's 2016 rom. You know what would be a crazy addendum? Is if you could only play on defense as a safety. Ha!

I just completed a "Safeties Only" regular season with the Bengals. I went 10-6. "Safeties Only" means you can only score by safeties. You can play offense, but on defense you can only play as your strong safety and free safety. I recorded 65 safeties. I never scored any other way.

Hello Tecmo faithful! I just got done playing a season only running the ball with Joe Caravello of the San Diego Chargers (allowing punting, FGs, and returns by other players). It was ABSOLUTELY the most exciting and entertaining season I have ever played and I cannot wait to find other ways to switch it up. (Thanks to the Proehl reverse thread for the idea btw) Playing with an ass-terrible RB was a great learning tool and promoted some pretty bizarre strategies that I had never thought of before. If you have a thumb of iron, I would strongly urge you to try it (and post your results)! So what methods have you heard of / used to make a season interesting? Field goals only? Defensive scores only? I'd love to hear what other fun challenges there are!

It seems more and more Tecmoers are putting JJ to the test to see if they can tap into his greatness about which some only whisper. To me, this begs the question. WHAT ABOUT WOLFLEY?!?!? My Ron "Wolf Man" Wolfley season challenge is your standard one-man fair. Only Wolfley, all season long. In fact, I'm not even going for field goals. If Wolf Man can't punch it in, then the ball is going to the defense. How will Wolf Man do? I'm not going for a yard record.
