  1. Ken Griffey Jr Baseball - All-Time Greats: '98 Expansion View File This is the '98 expansion edition of my All-Time Greats hacked ROM of KGB. It plays and was designed to be exactly the same as the regular version and player ratings and stats also use the same system I used for the regular All-Time Greats edition. **A few special things to note** I wanted Arizona and Tampa Bay to have similar uniform looks to what they have in real life. But until I learn how to hex edit, we are forced to use the game's default designs. Because of those limitations, I ended up replacing the Houston Astros with the Tampa Bay (Devil) Rays and the Texas Rangers with the Arizona Diamondbacks. So while the stadiums and uniform looks of those 2 teams are semi-accurate or as close to what they can be or what they should be - obviously the Rays are in NL and the Diamondbacks are in the AL in my version of the game. For exhibition play, this won't be an issue since you can simply turn on or off the DH rule. But for season play, the Rays will be DH-less and playing against NL teams and the D-Backs will have a DH and be battling AL teams. But at least the teams are present and their all-time rosters can be played with. Of course since the original game also only enables you to pick from 28 teams, this also means this '98 Expansion Edition won't allow you to play the Astros or Rangers vs the Rays or D-Backs. I would also love to replace the Houston and Texas logos at some point with Arizona and TB's so they will be accurate. As well as also attempt to change the team names on the gameplay screens and standings screens so they will be accurate as well. I need to learn how to edit with the hex editors and SNES palettes and need help with that though. So that would be included in a later update of this ROM if and when I am able to figure that stuff out. As always, any feedback, criticism or suggestions is extremely welcome! ENJOY!!! 2. The Unlucky 13 as the title implies are the 13 teams that to this day have yet to win a Super Bowl--four of which have never even played in the Super Bowl. As a reference, here are the Unlucky 13: Arizona Cardinals Atlanta Falcons Buffalo Bills Carolina Panthers Cincinnati Bengals Cleveland Browns Detroit Lions Houston Texans Jacksonville Jaguars Los Angeles Chargers Minnesota Vikings Philadelphia Eagles Tennessee Titans And of these 13 teams with the most unfortunate of fates, which of them will be the first to hoist the Lombardi Trophy? Me, personally? I'm gonna be bold on this one and select.... The Tennessee Titans 2016 saw the Titans make some incredible strides, having defeated the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and Kansas City Chiefs--all playoff teams--as well as toppling the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos. I think should the Patriots go south within a year or two, either the Titans or the Raiders will step up and reach the Super Bowl. Some would also include the Steelers too--who may be looking at their last shot at cementing a Super Bowl dynasty of their very own (only the Giants also have a realistic shot at a Super Bowl dynasty) before Big Ben retires. So perhaps give the Titans a year or two--or maybe they'll just have a Cinderella story for the ages this year--and maybe we'll see them hoisting the Lombardi Trophy at last. The Houston Texans are pretty close as well, though I think their championship window is shrinking. If they can't get any consistent quarterback play, and they don't get it done this year, they might not be able to get it done at all. As for the NFC, I'm struggling to figure out who out of that pool could possibly win their first Lombardi Trophy either this year or in the near future because the NFC doesn't have a consistent champion, especially not among them. Maybe the Panthers? Some would say the Falcons as well, but given the way that they lost the Super Bowl last time, I'm gonna say they wind up missing the playoffs instead. Maybe the Eagles, but I'm seeing a more Peyton Manning-type QB in Carson Wentz rather than a Big Ben or Tom Brady-type of career. At least he has a stellar defense behind him. But I have to theorize that for as long as the Eagle fanbase continues to be so unabashedly unhinged, the Eagles will continue to suffer. And the Arizona Cardinals, I'm gonna predict, will have their very last shot at Super Bowl glory this year. If they don't get it done, both Carson Palmer and/or Larry Fitzgerald will retire, and the Cardinals will enter the bargain basement for quite a long time. So what do you guys think? Or is there an optimistic Cleveland Browns fan that have high hopes that a Super Bowl dynasty might be on the horizon? No mocking. But please explain why and discuss in a civil manner.
