  1. Three cheers for a 2013 HIGHSPEED ROM! Three cheers for a 2013 HIGHSPEED ROM! Three cheers for a 2013 HIGHSPEED ROM!
  2. Last season I played HIGHSPEED almost exclusively, so readjusting to a more Tecmo-normal play style is still a little jarring. The field looks great to me! Is the punt coverage hack active for this ROM? I had a couple unusually excellent (30+ yds) returns that I think must have been due to the coverage hack. Any chance you'd implement the "No auto-coverage-dive" hack? That's a residual tecmo frustration. Cant wait to see more of those new plays!
  3. Grammar is your friend— use punctuation! http://www.tecmoplayers.com/
  4. I shall be camping this with extreme interest. Doubly so if buck declines to return in time for the '13 season. What hacks are you using for 2013, and what will the differences be from '12?
  5. 11-12 highspeed is the most fun I've ever had playing tecmo; I'm glad I had the chance to play the masterpiece before you left.
  6. It's a good idea to rest from one hobby or another from time to time. I always do things in cycles. Asshole scammers pervade every discipline and hobby, so it kinda has to be that way When you're ready to come back, we'll still be here— the assholes, and the good ones too. Thanks so much for all your hard work!
  7. buck, put up a Flattr page, man. Seriously. You rock. Is someone eventually going to drop this data into a old-school-style Tecmo '12 ROM? I'm playing buck's HighSpeed and Semi-Pro roms right now, it'd be nice to have the final '12 update for classic tecmo.
  8. Are you mapping both Pad 1 (player 1) and Pad 2 (player 2) in the "Options -> Inputs" section?
  9. I'm not sure this would add enough to the "fun" factor to make it worth pursuing by our hacking geniuses. For a hyper-realistic rom, perhaps; but the hard-coded roster limitations would severely hamper implementation. Where would the data go for all of the reserve players the rom would have to track? Even if you found space and got all of the address references correct, you'd have to have multiple DL/LB/DB backups for each team; and the game would have no way of compensating if you ran out of subs at a given position. The rudimentary defensive sub system in TSB I is enough, I think— sub injured defensive kick returners only. I think a hack that more dynamically changes player conditions based on actual game events would accomplish a similar idea.
  10. We need some additional details before we will be able to help you with this question. Which emulator are you using? Are you trying to use a USB controller, or the keyboard? Assuming you're running Nestopia on windows and trying to use a USB controller: 0. Close Nestopia if running. 1. Unplug, the re-plug in USB controller and wait for windows to recognize it. 2. Start Nestopia. 3. In Nestopia, go to "Options" -> "Input". 4. In the "Type" menu select "Pad 1". This sets the controls for Player 1. 5. In the "Joysticks" drop-down menu, select "USB Controller 1" or whichever controller you are trying to configure. -----a. You may have to experiment to find the right controller 6. In the lower-center of the window, click "Set All". 7. One at a time, for each key in the "Key" menu (starting with "Left"), press the correct key/button on the controller. 8. Repeat for "Pad 2" (player 2) if desired/applicable. 9. Load the rom from the file menu. 10. Enjoy!
  11. Doesn't look like it, man. I was once a SNES TSB guy, but ultimately I've returned to the NES. This community has thrown most of their weight against the NES, and some of the NES-only hacks available to modders are game-changers. Check out this rom, arguably the most innovative and fairest of the 2012 NES roms. If your heart is set on the SNES, and if you like College ball, you might also lurk this rom's dev thread. Still in beta, but promises to be a cutting-edge NCAA rom for TSB III.
  12. A. Men. Hear the fevered chants: "X...... P.... X..... P...." Progress update?
  13. Tim Tebow is the Broncos offense, man. If you've got Quinn under center, pound the rock with Mhee but mostly throw quick-hit passes to Thomas and Decker (best BC on the team).
