  1. I totally forgot this, yes Eric Allen has been a life saver for me against good quarterbacks.
  2. Very hard to do with the Saints. That defense is terrible. It's funny how dominating they are in other games, and in this one they are terrible.
  3. Nothing beats Tecmo on Super Bowl Sunday.
  4. I have never won a Super Bowl with CLE I even went 15-1 and choked in the AFC Championship. Twice to Miami, and once in a blow out beat down by Buffalo. Is there some trick to running the ball? I have such a hard time running it with this team. Usually I can shoot the stats up easily with Kosar slinging it to Michael Jackson and Brian Kinchen but the run game is usually my death in the playoffs.
  5. I'm having lots of trouble with Dallas. Aikman is the only QB I have never picked off. Almost every game turns into a shoot out.
  6. This made me LOL, I was surprised he didn't say the usual "No flags down!"
  7. I would love to play some MAN V MAN in TSB III. Next time a league is coming up, hit me up
  8. Hey man can you make one for the Saints with Rickey Jackson or Sam Mills on the page for the old Dome Patrol?
  9. Yes on two of them, but the Raiders got 5 of them. They finished with 130 yards total on offense, yet put up 58 points.
  10. I just had this glitch happen to me. Was playing the Raiders as the Bengals and Ismail on the kick return turned into God, it's happened twice in this one game on kick returns. Edit: 5 of them returned from this glitch. 58-38 loss
  11. I will check this out for sure before Christmas, love that 1984 Niners team
  12. Interesting games with the Pats in my play every game every week season this year. I like the Pats in this game, they have a nice offense, good QB, and a fairly decent defense that can be good or bad and I have no clue which side will show up every week. I played against the Pats with the Dolphins, went up 17-7 and the Pats came all the way back, tied the game in the 4th at 24-24 and I ended up winning on a last second field goal, thanks to Marino hooking up with Clark and Hill the entire game. Pats defense halted the run but could do absolutely nothing to stop Marino. Another game against NE was with the Niners where their defense totally collapsed and gave up 49 points, Pats only scored 14 in this game, bloodbath. Again against K.C. i shut them out. Bledsoe completed below 50%, they didn't score a single point and turned it over 4 times. For a 31-0 beat down I wonit by pounding the ball with LeRoy Thompson and Marcus Allen (he had a good game finally) When I play as the Pats, this happens 19-10 over Carolina. Panthers are good in this season, they were 6-2 going into that game, held them to only 8 total yards on offense. They got a field goal and a TD on a fumble in the redzone and a kick off return. 27-21 over Cleveland, it was originally 27-14, Browns scored and halted my drives, made it very close but it was originally a blow out in the making. 42-21 lose to the JETS. An 0-9 Jets team beat the living shit out of me yesterday. Butts fumbled twice, that turned into a 14-0 lead. I did tie it at 14 a piece at half time but the second half the Jets played brutal. Defense couldn't stop the run, did get an interception and then Yarbough exploded. My worst loss yet and defense totally didn't show up at all. So far the Pats are 4-5, and I doubt I make playoffs unless I play every game with them now and after that Jets loss, i wasn't too excited. On the other hand Troy Brown is the shit. Put him in place of Lee and he's averaging 131 yards receiving a game. In just a few games, he's already over 400 yards and 6 TD's receiving. Marion Butts has a fumble problem and so does Megget. I don't really care for their playbook, I just don't like it. If it looked more like K.C.'s they would probably play much better.
  13. it happens to me all the time. I sack QB's with Kevin Greene, Niel Smith, Reggie White, Leslie O'Neal, you name it and they always, always get injured after the sack. it's the craziest stuff I've ever seen. I play "every game every week" mode of my seasons and so far I've lost a lot of guys and a lot of QB's to injuries from sacks like this. Funny thing is normally when I lose a defensive player after a sack, the QB almost always gets injured the very next game, and it's always when I play as the defense. So it's like the guy that goes down injured from the sack put a beating on the QB pushing him close to injury. I never see it happen to the COM when they sack my guys, I never see that defensive player after the sack going down injured. It's a strange thing, though I'm considering firing up TSB 2 on my SNES to see if it happens in that game too. I have yet to play an every game every week season without a bunch of DEs or LBs getting hurt from tackles and sacks, and to counter this I can't really complain cause every single season a lot of quarterbacks get injured. I have yet to see Vinny Testeverde, Niel O'Donnel, Steve Young, Jim Everett, Rick Mirer, Steve Bono, Randall Cunnigham, and Scott Mitchell go an entire season without getting injured.
  14. I know that was the weirdest part. I was controlling D Alexander (normally switch between him and Randle playing as Minnesota) and maybe that had something to do with it. But I didn't even touch Walsh with him, he dropped back to pass and as soon as he made the throw, not even 2 seconds later it said Interception, then I saw the ball race down the field and hit the ground. The ball didn't go out of bounds but it should have, the way Walsh threw it, I figured it was going to go out of bounds, but there was no receiver anywhere where he was throwing the ball, it hit the ground at the 47, it looked like he was trying to throw over the middle and there was a man over the middle but he went way out to the right side, and I could be wrong but he may have over threw or under threw his man (normally there is a receiver on that side in the Bears play book) That is by far the weirdest glitch I have ever had. I wish I was recording on my computer so I could have posted a video up for it to you guys, I was shocked that happened. Vikings did manage the win the game after that bad play, 24-21 (after trailing 21-10 at the half) so if that was a real game, this would easily be the "worst call of the year"
  15. Never had this happen before. Bears at Vikings, I'm the Vikings. First, Walsh fumbled, I recovered it with Randle and some how after returning it 5 yards, it didn't count and it was just 2nd and 15 for the Bears. So Walsh goes back to throw and throws the pass but before it can even get half way across the field it says interception. The pass hits the ground incomplete and it is credited to D. Alexander for the pick. The ball was placed at the 47, where the ball hit the ground on the incompletition. What the hell?
  16. Just had one for the records. Saints at 49ers Going into this game, the Saints are missing Bates, so Brown is the starting RB. As for the niners they are banged up pretty bad, lost Young 4 weeks ago, so here's GrBac, and now Rice is finally coming back. I'm the Saints, trying to finally win one on the road in Frisco. Game starts pretty well. In the 2nd quarter the Saints are up 14-10, GrBac fumbles the ball, Saints recover, that's a TD. To end the half GrBac throws an interception intended for Jerry Rice and Eric Allen returns it 89 yards for a TD to end the half at 28-10. The Niners came out on fire in the 3rd quarter, after forcing a punt, they drove down the field on 5 plays and scored. 17-28. Next possession, Brown fumbles the ball, then GrBac throws a bomb to Jerry Rice for a TD. They go for two and get it. 25-28 Final play of the third quarter and Brown fumbles yet again. Niners recover. 3 plays into the 4th quarter and they score a touchdown completing the comeback. 32-28. After a kick off lands me at the Niners 48, Everett goes to work with Torrence Small and Michael Haynes. To avoid the fumble machine, I bring in Brad Muster who runs 20 yards in for a TD. Saints are back on top 35-32 On the kick off, the Niners fumble and Eric Allen runs it in for a TD. 32-42. I accidentally onside kicked it and the Saints recovered, get stopped. The Niners block the punt, then Moore fumbles the ball right going into the 2 minute warning. Saints run the clock out and go onto win 32-42. That was one of the craziest games I ever played, without Eric Allen's two TD's, it could have been a loss. GrBac played extremely well, coming back from the 18 points down, I so did not expect that.
  17. I've been finding so much success with back up players, it's amazing. Dolphins Replacing McDuffie with Hill or Clark (or both) for the Dolphins sets the offense on fire. I can actually replace the TE with Clark, and put Hill in the second slot and run 3 WR and Marino still is unstoppable. Then there is also Terry Kirby, whom I like for some reason even though he don't do much. Seahawks I'm just assuming that WR 84 is Joey Galloway cause he's better than anyone else on the entire team and I remember Galloway used to be awesome. John Friesz sucks in this game, which is hilarious when I think about how he was better than Humphries in TSB 1. I still take the Friesz man over Rick Mirer just because I get sick of interceptions. Green Bay How did Chumra become the back up TE? Fun way to run the Pack Attack is a 2 TE set up. Tampa Bay Warren Sapp is on the bench, put him in and he makes a huge difference. Also there is Vincent Workman who has totally killed me many times. When Rhett goes down and Workman comes into the game, the Buc's turn into juggernauts against me, and I find him to be a good back to use too. Saints Torrence Small, enough said. Brown seems to be a good back too while Bates isn't much at all. An accurate portrayal of the final Mora days in New Orleans no defense and run game at all, but great WR's for Everett to throw bombs to. 49ers Have no clue why John Taylor is a back up. I move him to the first WR, and Rice as the second, same lineup in TSB 1 on SNES and it works better in my eyes. Patriots Troy Brown, now this guy is something else. I put Troy Brown in and he catches every pass and seems to be quicker than both the starting WR's on the offense. Then there is also David Meggett who is an awesome back up RB. The more I play with NE in this game, I grow to love them. Steelers I like the back up WR's here too, they are great work when needed. Plus I have a soft spot for Tomczak, have no clue why. He can be more consistent for me than O'Donnell ever is. Under O'Donnell, averaging 200-250 passing yards for 33%-60% completition rate, under Tomczak it's 250-300, and 40%-70% completition rate. Chiefs K.C. is loaded with awesome back up players if the starters go down. They are essentually loaded on RB's, Jon Vaughan can be a life saver, but he likes to fumble. Marcus Allen is OK, tends to have bad games but a break out from time to time. The WR Bailey is an essential key piece I have found by using him over Dawson and rotating them. Falcons WR Lewis comes off the bench and can light a defense up. I like him over Birden anyday of the week. Redskins The RB Brooks can be very useful. Outside of him, I don't find Washington to have any good back ups except for Ferrotte who is only better than Shuler when he can complete a few passes. Panthers Another team loaded with awesome back ups. You have Don Beebe who can be a huge player when the offense is riddled with injury, forgot the other WR's name and am too drunk to think about it right now but I remember him being good too, even the back up TE is good.
  18. Had this insane play today. Jacksonville at Cleveland, I'm the Jags of course! Ernest Givens returns the kick off to the Browns 1 yardline about to score and is stripped, fumble, Browns recover and run it to the 20. Man, was soooooo close.
  19. referring to all of them in general. Sam Mills was on 3 SNES versions, along with the NES one and was a beast on all 4 games I played.
  20. While you have this thread, it just don't feel fair not counting the players from the other Tecmo games. I like to give mention to Sam Mills who was in all the games, same goes for Reggie Cobb, Michael Irvin, and Charles Haley.
  21. Those are awesome! Love that one of Rice!!! I was hoping one day someone would do a 1994 rom and actually use those uniforms the Niners wore that season with the white pants and black stripe. They looked so cool with the white jeresys and white pants. Have no clue why they don't bring those back for throwbacks.
  22. Holy hell! That is hands down the craziest glitch I have ever seen too, totally agree with Rison!
