  1. Kerry Collins is missing for the Panthers.
  2. Damn I have missed a lot of great stuff this summer, my health hasn't been too nice to me, but it's fun to catch up with you guys!
  3. Yep 5 minute quarters Pretty fun but ultimately pointless since I choked in the playoffs to the fucking RAIDERS who beat me at the last second after coming back from what was a 14-24 beat down in the making. Then the Raiders go into the Super Bowl and get beat to a pulp 38-3 against Dallas, who was only 9-7 this season. Wierdest season ever for the NFC, SF, Dallas, and Green Bay all finished 9-7 and still strangely Dallas won their division. Best record for the NFC was Detroit at 11-5, who should have beat the Cowboys. The biggest COM vs COM comeback I ever seen when Dallas erased a 17-0 blow out and came back and won 27-20. Atlanta won the West at 10-6 and then got shut out bad by the Niners at 31-0 who ultimately choked against Dallas in the NFCCG after some bad fumbles. As for the AFC Oakland went 13-3 and was my biggest competition all year and ultimately beat me in the AFCCG, then hilariously couldn't score more than 3 points against a 9-7 Dallas team that looked like they were on juice in the SB.
  4. OK so tipped balls can be caught by wide receivers, just figured this out recently where John Taylor caught a tipped pass. Very rarely it happens but it's possible.
  5. I admire Mega Man for it's insane difficulty. Those games were very good at the classic anger and frustration followed by throwing the controller up against the wall or down on the floor after dying over and over.
  6. I am a little biased cause I love the Packers team on here even though the ones on TSB II are a little bit better. You have Sterling Sharpe on all 3 rosters for TSB II but the playbook is a little sloppy compared to the flexibility on TSB III's. So I will take the better playbook, even though Sterling blows away all the receivers on this version. It's impossible to keep those RB's healthy during a season for GB, and even when they are healthy, Favre will go down and Ty Detmer is a big joke on offense. If the team had Sterling or Antonio Freeman, they would easily be a top 5 offense IMO. Plus on TSB II, they have Reggie Cobb as a running back on the 93 or 94 team (or both, can't remember) and I'd easily take him over Bennett and Levens.
  7. I did it Dolphins went 15-1, here's the stats for you Marino 215/310, 69.4%, 5,667 yards, 52 TD, 6 INT, Rating 183 (Best rated QB) But he lost the MVP and offensive player of the year both to Chris fucking Warren. Seattle went 7-9. I had 3 Wide receivers hit the 1,000 yard mark Irving Fryar 1,772 yards, 17 TD's Gary Clark 1,118 yards, 7 TD's Randall Hill 1,028 yards 10 TD's And even with these massive passing stats, I still rushed over 2,000 yards. Terry Kirby had 1,027 rushing yards and 21 TD's rushing and 1 TD in receiving (2nd most scorer of the season) Kieth Byars had 707 rushing yards and 7 TD's (this guy is a juggernaut on offense) Bernie Parmalee had 655 rushing yards and 11 TD's Total offensive stats 8,219 total yards, 5,734 passing, and 2,485 rushing. Ranked #1 all through the board. Biggest stat whoring I have ever done, and I got over the 5,000 mark. Actually I was over it by week 13, and then I piddled around a bit in some other games. I had a few really bad ones where I threw for around 150-250. My worst was where I threw for 154 yards against Buffalo with a 47% completion rate, and I ultimately lost this game, with it being my single loss. For my offense, I lost O.J. McDuffie early on and he didn't show back up until week 13 ( a total of 10 weeks) so I had to rely on Randall Hill until I figured out how much better Clark is than him. Of my 6 INT's, 4 were to passes intended for Hill, and in the one game I lost, Hill had the fumble that ultimately sealed the deal for Buffalo. Hill also had the most drops on my team.
  8. Totally disagree there. I can make Levens and Bennett have a lot of break outs with running. Levens is a very good back if you put him as the main HB instead of FB, the only down side is both of them get injured a lot. I have never went a whole season without them sustaining injuries.
  9. I would take GB over DEN. I have a hard time with Denver's defense when it comes to stopping the run, but then again the Packers can get gashed hard by good running backs. I don't know really, Denver seems to always do well when the computer plays it out while I do one team for the season.
  10. So far this is going very well. I managed 500 yards against New England and had 3 games with 400 yards. The lowest yardage I had was 288 yards against Pittsburgh. So far, I am 6-0 and have 2,588 yards with 21 TD's and 2 INT's. Next up is the Jets, who I threw for the 600+ yards up against in week 1.
  11. Hey Kieth I wanted to give you a huge thanks for all of these. They are easy to use to be drawn out on graph paper, and that can be used for crocheting patterns in blankets or with knitting or stiching arts/crafts. This has just helped me greatly in creating a blueprint for someone's wife to make a blanket for her husband who's a Rams fan. Big thanks man!
  12. Ever since I started doing COM vs COM in the playoffs for all the NFC teams, it seems the Niners, always reach the Super Bowl. Before, they used to always lose to Dallas but in COM vs COM, they are super juice and normally blow by everyone. Dallas is the only team so far where the COM actually plays them hard, but I had Dallas go undefeated this last season and they were shut out in the NFC Championship 14-0 by the Niners. I struggle hard with the Niners though. I did a season with Philly recently to try and get Cunnigham a ring (and did!) and the Niners were the hardest game I had. I overcame a 17-3 start to tie the game in the third quarter at 17-17, but then that was all, as I threw 5 INT's and fumbled twice, getting blown out 38-17 after that big comeback. The only time I have ever blown out the Niners was with the Eagles and Rams. With Philly, it was that same season, I got them in the NFCCG and went on to win 30-10. With the Rams, i went 14-2 where I got beat down into a pulp by them in the regular season (7-28) and then lost a nail biter to them later on (17-13), but in the NCCG I beat them down 49-10 some how. The Rams so far were the hardest team I won a Super Bowl with. In the regular season, Everett was totally awesome with Flipper Anderson and Henry Ellard. I also had a lot of success using Todd Kinchen (very underrated guy) but I won a lot of those 14 games on nail biters and comebacks. In the Super Bowl I had to come back from a 3-14 beatdown-in-the-making against Buffalo and barely win 17-14, and even this is arguable since Thurman Thomas got hurt in the game, and on the final Bills play they threw a bomb to the 13 yardline where they could have kicked a FG to go into OT had their been more time on the clock. Had it not been for a Gardner fumble returned for a TD, I would have lost. The Bills ran out of juice the minute Thomas got injured. It seems the only team so far that I can play as and give the Niners a rough time in the regular season is the Saints, and even that is very rare cause Wilson sucks and he likes to save the Niners game to prove it with those over thrown passes getting intercepted constantly. While I have beat them in the regular season with the Siants, it's always a close game. Even a 14-0 start goes down the drain quick when I start getting hit hard by their defense.
  13. I'm in for it now. I just got back from working in FL, so it's a go for me!
  14. I'm trying to play it straight but I am running scores up, and making a lot more deep balls than I regularly do. With Marino it's easy though, cause Clark, Hill, and Fryar are monster receivers on that team. I'm not even using McDuffie, so far the 3 WR is working perfect.
  15. I'm running on 5 minute quarters. i threw for 300 yards in the first half. I haven't changed any settings or anything for the game.
  16. The quest begins, got off to a great start. Is this the most yardage ever in a game?
  17. I really want to give this a shot, but figured I ask if any of you guys have done it before? I'm going to try it with Marino
  18. I would love to join if it's a go. You guys should make a Skype get together if it's possible. Everyone to call in for a group call chat
  19. I came across the SNES version of Tecmo Super Bowl II (Special Edition) that I see on Ebay going for around 50 or more dollars, but I got mine for only 20 dollars. The guy at the game store had no idea what he had that day!
  20. LOL Niel Smith sack machine FAP FAP FAP
  21. The Job is done, brought the Lombardi to Cleveland. Got the Niners in a rematch for the Super Bowl, beat then 31-28 with a Kosar led final drive to get the lead. Had to over come a 14-0 start thanks to Metcalf fumbling. The game ended with Rob Burnett sacking Steve Young. Best Super Bowl come back ever. Kosar finished with 4 TD's and 358 passng yards with a 90% completion rate to make up for his lousy 4 INT performance in the previous Super Bowl.
  22. Wow Houston, just wow. They managed to blow over Pittsburgh and then barely beat the Chargers in an OT nail biter where Greco missed 3 short field goals before Humphries 5th and final turnover put them in the red zone. Humphries fucking blows. 3 INT's and 2 fumbles against Houston, and they still managed to go into OT at 7-7 since neither offense could do nothing. Well that's not really true, cause Houston kept missing field goals. So I got the Oilers and Browns in the AFCCG and this time I shut them out. 49-0, just like when I put 41 on them in Houston and 60 on them in the final weeks of the regular season. They went 12-4, and got totally mauled by my Browns all 3 times. They had no chance whatsoever. Never had a shut out in the AFC Championship game. Moon threw a pick and fumbled 3 times. Jerry Ball, M.D. Perry and Rob Burnett - the wrecking ball crew.
  23. Houston is on juice so far in the playoffs. I messed up, sorry, they got Pittsburgh and not Denver. Who they rolled 35-17. It was 35-7 at one point and the Steelers got a field goal and then a TD in the closing seconds of the game. This is the third time in a row I've played a season and got New Orleans and San Fran as a playoff game, and the last two times, the Niners rolled them in a 24-7 blow out and last year an even worse 27-3 blow out. What's funny is the Saints were 13-3 last year, and the Niners were 9-7 and they got beat to a bloody pulp. I'm expecting the Saints to lose again EDIT: 17-14 Niners so far in this game. Saints could have tied it, but Andersen missed a makeable kick. P.S. why does Morten Andersen suck in this game? Everytime I watch the COM play against me another COM, he always, always misses those long field goals that he was known for during his career. I just don't understand it. He used to be my favorite Saints player when I was a kid, and you would think he would be the Queen piece of a chess board when it comes to the Saints and how they relied on his leg to win so many close games back in the Mora era, yet when the COM plays as him, he always misses. The first time SF and NO played in the playoffs, Saints lost 9-0 where SF put up 3 field goals, and Morten Andersen missed all three of his. Second game against SF, he missed 2 field goals. So far in this game, he's missed one that would have tied the game and made it a back and forth one. EDIT: Andersen nailed a 56 yarder, but Saints got blown out...again. 31-17, they could not keep up with SF in this game, Wilson threw a bad pick. Saints Defense got absolutely torn to bits as they couldn't stop Rice and Taylor. SF to ATL for Divisional Round. Falcons went 13-3 and actually beat SF by 1 point in the regular season (34-35)
  24. Most notably, Final Fantasy Tactics. It's a lot like that game with a chess like board where you move your units around.
  25. I love Hardy Nickerson, one of the most underrated Tecmo players of all time. On TSB 1 I had a lot of success using Broderick Thomas
