  1. Merton Hanks is in this game, with another 49ers CB named Davis, have accumulated 6 interceptions total so far with them as a duo. I'm still shocked I never gave this version of Tecmo a try, it's so awesome. So far, i have totally dominated with the Steelers defense, giving my best performance to Jacksonville, shutting them out 28-0, Rod Woodson 2 INT's, 1 was returned for a 76 yard touchdown, and most of all I held the Jags to only 115 total yards on offense, shut down in check
  2. You know who is still in? John Kasay, kicker for Seahawks, now he kicks for New Orleans Well, at least in the SNES version I know for sure he kicks for Seattle
  3. Wow, can't believe I didn't play this version of Tecmo any sooner, it is ridiculous how advanced it is. Originally in NES Tecmo and mostly TSB 1 for SNES, I never, NEVER could get an INT returned for a TD to save my life, but in just 2 days of playing TSB III I have already returned 3 for TD's, including a lovely 58 yarder by none other than the man, Rod Woodson Of all the teams in the first TSB for SNES, I got my most interceptions with the Redskins. I recorded 6 INT's in 3 games total with one season as Washington, but my main pick machines were always Brad Edwards and Darrell Green. If only that same Redskins team was on this game, I can only drool at imaging how many picks I'd be running back for touchdowns with Green and Edwards, (and also not having to worry about Rypien throwing picks like Heath Shuler seems to do so often) The funny thing about this game though is how bad the Chiefs defense is. I could totally dominate from one end of the field to the other with them on the other Tecmo. No Derrick Thomas, but there is Niel Smith and Dan Saleauma (who has stayed hurt most my season), I'll get picks with Carter every now and then but I can't stop the run to save my life. And why in the hell is Marcus Allen so slow on this game!? You'd think he'd get a boost.
  4. Wow, I normally dominate with New Orleans. They are my best team.
  5. I didn't think it was possible for the backups to get injured, and I had to play Barnett (WR) as my RB for 2 straight games where I barely had 50 rushing yards total.
  6. I like playing with Jeff George, I can dominate with him in both the NES and SNES versions.
  7. Playing a season with the Chiefs, it did not take long for this to happen. Week 2 against Seattle I lost both Barry Word and Christian Oyke. Going into Houston with both backups playing RB, I didn't think backups could get injured when there isn't another one to fill in a space, boy was I wrong. Williams went down injured and now I have WR Barnett playing RB So it very well is possible even backups sustain injuries in this game.
  8. I believe this rom is based off the 1991 season, in which the Redskins won the Super Bowl. I've been working on editing the Redskins team of the game to how they won the Super Bowl, but was curious if it had already been done before. I know they had a really good offensive line, I will be spending time rating that, and Rypien and company had a great year.
  9. I like to play whole seasons to see how far I can get.
  10. It sure don't feel like it's that old, because we're still playing it as if it were brand new!
  11. When I see Tebow, all i can think of is Vince young. That's just what he reminds me of. In one hand "All he does is win!" in the other hand, he has the worst completion percentage in the NFL, and his mechanics and throwing motion is awful. I don't hate Tebow, and I have nothing against him, but I am really sick of all the non stop media stories surrounding him. I've never seen a QB get talked about sooooooo much. It's just over kill.
  12. Are you really working on a 32 team version of TSB 3? I think that is awesome!!! At least we'll FINALLY get something on the SNES with 32 teams!
  13. If the SNES version had 32 teams, all of my dreams would come true I also believe both TSB 1 and TSB III would become much more popular than the standard NES edition.
  14. Try getting picks with the Redskins. I finished a season with 7 picks from Brad Edwards, and managed to get 5 in one game with him in a new season. Put him on the primary receiver, the go to guy of the team you are playing against.
  15. How often does this happen? I recorded 6 interceptions in a single game. The sad thing is, I cannot understand why the Lions play such a pass heavy offense in this game. They have Barry Sanders but they play like the Oilers in a pass heavy offense with an average at best quarterback. I won 10 games with Detroit before, never thought I'd have a gave with Peete tossing out 6 interceptions. Funny thing about this is, 5 of those picks were to same guy, Brad Edwards! Talk about an interception machine, I have had 2 picks at most by the same guy in a single game (Rod Woodson) but I have never had so much success on defense against the pass than I have with the Redskins lately. Now I know who to put on Jerry Rice and Sterling Sharpe. Just wait till I play Dallas, I cannot wait to put Edwards on Michael Irvin. There is other good defensive backs in this game that rack up interceptions too, Rod Woodson is a good one, as is LeRoy Butler, Donnell Woolford can get picks. But I'm thinking that maybe Brad Edwards is the best pick machine in this game. My first season with Washington, I finished with 7 interceptions from him as I won 13 games. So far I'm only one game into the season (1991 schedule) and have 5 interceptions on him in just a single game.
  16. It can be hard to believe over the offense but their defense is so good in this game. Too bad that site don't exist anymore, it would be cool to read. Oh I know, if he was on the roster for this game with N.O. there is no telling how good they would be. Anytime someone is in the shotgun formation, run Rickey Jackson over and he gets the sack almost every time, and if not a sack, a guaranteed hit. I like ti blitz with Wayne Martin and Vaughan Johnson too. The defensive line on that team is crazy for blitzes and stopping the run. I did have a problem against the 49ers giving up 221 passing yards, but I forced 3 turnovers in that game and still won, and they had -4 rushing yards.
  17. This is a great rom, I love it!
  18. Great rom but have to agree with you on the Niners I wish someone would edit the first Tecmo Super Bowl SNES 1994 rom with the Niners wearing those white pants. They should use those uniforms as an alternate, they looked great with the black stripe and shadowed numbers.
  19. I'm currently playing a season with New Orleans and their defense is so bad ass!!! Currently I am 7-0, and have the #1 ranked defense giving up 813 total yards, and have shut out 4 teams: The Rams, Cardinals, Seahawks and Eagles. Rickey Jackson, Wayne Martin, and Vaughan Johnson get the sack almost every time. I have yet to have a problem stopping the run (Barry Sanders only had 3 yards against me) but my biggest problem with the Saints is their offense. The best player is probably Eric Martin. Have a hard time running the ball with Hilliard and Muster, and Wade Wilson isn't the greatest quarterback ever. If the Saints had a good offense in this game that was equal to Green Bay or even Kansas City, they would probably be the best team in the game, cause their defense really is the Dome Patrol.
  20. No way!? MrNFL don't do the SNES roms anymore? Damn that sucks. I'm a huge fan of the SNES editions.
  21. I'm hoping we get an SNES rom soon.
  22. I'm glad they finally changed the uniforms, those ones they've had recently were god awful terrible. I prefer the 1990 Bills uniforms though. I think now the worst uniform award goes to Minnesota. I cannot stand that circus shit they wear now. They should change back to their 1990's style uniforms.
  23. After seeing this, I figured you guys may want this template to do SNES cartridges too. I loved these covers they are awesome!! Would like to see one of Warren Moon one day
