    Blood Sugar Sex MaJJik Region

1 Seed: DT – Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals were selected right after I/kamp picked the Cowboys. I almost picked the Bengals to see if DT would pick perhaps the Seahawks and some non Cowboys team due to the hate, but in the end, the prospect of raining JJ’s to my favorite PL88MAKER was too much to pass up. DT got Cincy immediately and my how things fell his way in the Queen City. Fulcher obviously was a goner, snatched by gripsmoke’s Colts, but DT had a plan for that, in picking up Rod Woodson from Stu’s Steelers. Stu responded in kind by taking Boomer Esiason, giving DT that fresh Douchebag Harbaugh Style. The Kaiser will be able to hold it down in this OK BOOMER situation, and DT fortified the Offense with a BAD MOON. Andre Rison was swiped from Tick’s Falcons for Downtown Eddie Brown. And then there was the wait. Will James Brooks get picked or won’t he? Well, in short, he wasn’t. And Cincy and DT got themselves a helluva squad. And then they messed around and got the last bye…
Net Adds: Rod Woodson, Andre Rison, Jim Harbaugh, Keith Taylor
Net Losses: David Fulcher, Boomer Esiason, Carl Carter, Eddie Brown

    2 Seed: Shamanyo1080 – Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings were a bit of an enigma to me. They lost their biggest offensive threat in AC, so Steve Jordan is Whiskey Wade’s best field stretcher, and Herschel remains the running threat. That’s a lot of 44s to rely on, but perhaps the Tecmo Gods favor has been curried in ways that only the Shamanyo can curry them, leading to a run of Good and Excellence. On Defense WHEW. Yes Browner got gotten. However Richard Dick Dick Johnson was installed as DB1, and Millard was untouched, and given a ride or die homey in Mike Singletary. I think Manyo LIKES THAT KINDA PARTY! Unfortunately, a little smidge of buzzkill was delivered on the last Player Snatched, as Chris Doleman was taken by Joey B’s 49ers.
Net Adds: Richard Johnson DB, Mike Singletary, Kevin Fagan, Kevin Porter, Perry Kemp
Net Losses: Joey Browner, Anthony Carter, Chris Doleman, Reggie Rutland, Scott Studwell

3 Seed: kamp – Detroit Lions
The Lions are the only “1st round” team to be selected for the Blood Sugar Sex MaJJik region. Presumably Barry Sanders would be stolen, and this was true. J J J Joey and the Jets took Barry, but gave back Blair Thomas leaving some potential usage of Mel Gray as WR as a decent option with a 44ms RB carrying the load. Thinking I might lose William White as well, I selected Deion Sanders from Tick’s Falcons in exchange for Bad Bad Leroy Irvin. Then Manyo snatched up Andre Ware for his Bills, gifting Frank Reich in return. Not a terrible replacement, with equal PC to Peete. Then the Lions final move was to get Howie Long to partner up alongside Jerry Ball and create Havoc. Gripsmoke did not take to this move after a MaJJSnatchki (grip will get this, at least he should). Luckily, William White remained to help Deion hold the fort with Mike Cofer and crew.
Net Adds: Deion Sanders, Howie Long, Blair Thomas, Frank Reich
Net Losses: Barry Sanders, Andre Ware, Keith Ferguson, Leroy Irvin

4 Seed: Stu – Philadelphia Eagles
Man did the Eagles FAAAALLLL in the team draft. The 26th team selected. We all knew QB Eagles was a goner, but man, things really turned out better than could be expected for Stu in the City of Brotherly Love. Joey and his Browns snatched QB Eagles up right off the bat, giving QB Browns in return. Then Gripsmoke and his Rams gave Jim Everett for QB Browns from Stu’s Eagles, which counted as Philly’s 2nd player being purloined, with the rules allowing only 3 before a team can be untouchable. Then Kamp and his Cowboys took Jim Everett, leaving Stu kinda stuck with the LVP Aikman hisself, but also with no more moves being allowed from the Eagles roster. That defense remained intact! Stu snatched up Bo Jackson with the 3rd overall Filch, losing Keith Byars in the exchange, and then Stu really shook things up by “gifting” the PHI OL to DT’s Miami team in exchange for that Miami OL! WOW.
Net Adds: Bo Jackson, Troy Aikman, Miami OL
Net Losses: QB Eagles, Keith Byars, PHI OL

5 Seed: Tick – Denver Broncos
Tick picked the Broncos as his 3rd team. Then he transformed them into a passing team. Bobby Humphrey was stolen by DT and his Dolphins after Tick stole Marino from DT’s Dolphins giving Elway in exchange. Then Tick did a Ricky for Ricky exchange with another DT team, giving Ricky Nattiel for Ricky Sanders. The Broncos still have their 2 other WRS and the 2 LBs, but instead of a run heavy offense, Sammie Smith will be looking to keep the defenses honest and the pressure off Marino.
Net Adds: Dan Marino, Ricky Sanders, Sammie Smith
Net Losses: Bobby Humphrey, John Elway, Ricky Nattiel

    6 Seed: Joey B – Phoenix Cardinals
Joey meet Johnny. Johnny meet Joey. Now that that is settled, Johnny, don’t get yourself too concerned because Joey added QB Bills and Willie Gault to the mix. Joey started by sending Rosey to Manyo’s Bills for QB Bills, and then traded Ernie Muthaphukka Jones for Willie Gault of Gripsmoke’s Raiders. Things were still looking like that would be it until Tick snatched up Lonnie Young for his Chiefs in a secondary power move.
Net Adds: QB Bills, Willie Gault, Deron Cherry
Net Losses: Lonnie Young, Ernie Jones, Tim Rosenbach

7 Seed: gripsmoke – Indianapolis Colts
Grip took the Colts much earlier than most had the Colts pegged for. Most except me. How appropriate is it that he takes the Colts right after I take the Patriots? Doesn’t get any more appropriate if you ask me. I would love it if our teams were able to meet in the Elite 8, perhaps if they don’t we could run this on the side for Gits and Shiggles. Grip started things off with a bang, picking up Fulcher and dashing my Fulcher in a Dallas Uniform dreams. Then Grip dashed DT’s hopes of keeping ol’ Mudbone, snaking Dave Krieg from DT’s Seahawks for one Jeff George. The Colts were one of 3 Grey Worm teams in this draft along with the Patriots and the Browns. Fulcher on D with Krieg tossing up moonballs to the likes of Hester and Brooks? Watch out CFT

    Region ANALysis and PreDICtions
I feel fairly confident in saying the the top 2 teams in this region are the Bengals and Eagles. Both teams surprisingly survived the Player Snatch Phase with less damage than anticipated and added some absolute NitroGlycerin to their teams respective offenses. Stu’s Eagles adding Bo and the MIA OL while only losing QB Eagles, and getting a serviceable Troy Aikman at that. And then DT’s Bengals getting to keep Brooks and adding Bad Moon and Rod Woodson. The next tier of teams I’d say would include Lions and Vikings. And then I just don’t have much faith that the Colts, Broncos and Cardinals are going to get the consistent results they’ll need from the passing game to survive and advance.
    Elite 8: Eagles and Bengals
    Bubblicious: Vikings and Lions
Back and B Doomed: Colts, Broncos and Cardinals

Baby Got Back and B’ed Region
1 Seed: kamp – New Orleans Saints
Kamp took the Saints with his 2nd team pick, 3 picks after selecting Detroit. And New Orleans ended up getting the 1 seed and requisite bye in the Baby Got Back and B’ed Region. The Saints, Cowboys, and Patriots were all picked with hopes of being unsullied. The Saints almost made it. But before we get to the Sullying, lets get to the BEEF. Immediately after kamp picked the Saints, Grip picked the Rams and kamp had IMMEDIATE DOUBTS as the Rams somehow missed his radar of teams I was deciding on. Really kicking myself because of the Rams RB situation, BUT, the low but stout tier of players across the board, plus the running and kicking game had me thinking, add a WR and perhaps DB and make the Saints GEAUX! Well, Flipper was targeted over Ellard in order to keep Eric Martin. And then with little real STUDS avail in the secondary, and a sneaking suspicion that one of those teams that lost a QB 1 stud might target a QB 2 44 44 guy like Fourcade, the prospect of a MaJJikal connection to Flipper proved too enticing. About an hour before selecting MaJJik, Grip wondered in the draft chat if MaJJik was safe with how the draft was shaping out. I immediately responded that I didn’t think Majkowski was safe, but my reply was largely unnoticed… UNTIL he got SNATCHEDED! And then this turned out to be a very crucial pick as Fourcade got snatched by Tick’s Moonless Oilers (another great band name).
Net Adds: Flipper Anderson, Don the MaJJik Man Majkowski, Cody Carlson
Net Losses: John Fourcade, Steve Walsh, Brent Perriman

2 Seed: Tick – Houston Oilers
The Oilers were one of the more SULLIED teams, with the quality of the 3 players they lost arguably vying for most quality lost with the Niners. First Warren Moon was stolen by kamp’s Patriots, with a Gift of Grogan in return. Then Dick Dick was taken by Manyo’s Vikings, probably anticipating a loss of Browner. Before the Oilers 3rd player snatched, Tick was able to secure the services of Marion Butts, really putting a level of gas to that offense. Joey B snatched up Ernest Givins as his Rice Replacement Protocol, and then Tick finished his Player Snatch Phase of the draft by giving Fourcade the role of straight man ( a Fourcade façade if you will) to Grogan’s Farcical Comedy Act.
Net Adds: Marion Butts, John Fourcade, Steve Grogan, Reggie Rutland, Mike Wilson
Net Losses: Warren Moon, Richard Dick Dick Johnson, Ernest Givins, Lorenzo White, Cody Carlson

3 Seed: gripsmoke – Los Angeles Raiders
A Power Move pick of the 1st order, Grip got that speed with the selection of the Raiders as the 5th team overall. Speed upon speed in the RB, WR and DB rooms, where only 1 guy could be filched from each position group, thus leaving a sturdy roster regardless. Grip’s approach was to get Vinny to lead this charge, gifting Jay Schroeder to Manyo and his Rice-capades in Tampa. In the Player Snatch Phase, Grip lost Bo predictably, to Stu and his Eagles, but got Keith Byars in the swap. Then Grip lost Willie Gault kind of late, when Joey B wanted a speedy target for QB Bills in Phoenix, but got the Raiders got the services of none other than Ernie Muthaphukka Jones. Finally, Howie Long was purloined by kamp’s Detroit Lions for lowly Keith Ferguson, which after the MaJJik was gone, was the straw that broke grip’s camelback. Vengeance was required, and vengeance was dealt, in the form of Manny Hendrix from kamp’s Cowboys, gifting Lionel Washington in return.
Net Adds: Vinny Testaverde, Manny Hendrix, Keith Byars, Ernie Jones, Keith Ferguson
Net Losses: Bo Jackson, Willie Gault, Howie Long, Jay Schroeder, Lionel Washington

4 Seed: DT – Miami Dolphins
DT’s Dolphins plan I’m sure involved him feeling confident in keeping that OL intact but… not so much. However, outside of being saddled with the Philly OL thanks to Stu, the Dolphins really didn’t lose all that much and vastly improved their offense’s versatility with the snatching of Bobby Humphrey from Tick’s Broncos. Dan Marino was Snatched by Tick giving Elway back, and then Manyo pinched Elway from the Dolphins, yet in the deal giving the services of one Phil Simms to DT and his Dolphin Attack. What a wild ride for the QB1 slot down in Miama. Marino, to Elway to Simms! The final addition to the Dolphins roster was none other than Everson Walls. So in the end, the Dolphins Defense lost nobody, Marino was replaced by… Simms. AND they added BHump... AND the PHI OL. I guess we’ll see how much a diff an OL can make…
Net Adds: Bobby Humphrey, Phil Simms, Everson Walls, PHI OL
Net Losses: Dan Marino, Sammie Smith, JB Brown, MIA OL

5 Seed: Joey B – New York Jets
The Jets Snatch Draft was a little under my radar because I was verily predisposed when they kicked off their Player Snatch Phase, and it was one of my players to, Barry Sanders from Kamp’s Lions, gifting Blair Thomas in return. Then the Jets took the WAS OL to give Sanders some wide open lanes to run. In the process, Joey B did lose Erik McMillan AND Dennis Byrd, putting an airplane sized dent in their defense. Byrd was especially notable as it was very VENGEANCE motivated for DT to come at the JETS like that. Kyle Clifton is looking like a one man show back there, and good thing he has some INT skills.
Net Adds: Barry Sanders, HOGS (WAS OL), Scott Case, Greg Manusky
Net Losses: Erik McMillan, Dennis Byrd, JETS OL, Blair Thomas

    6 Seed: Shamanyo1080 – Buffalo Bills
Surprisingly, or not surprisingly given the nature of this draft, the Bills fell to the 16th overall pick in the Team draft. Seems like guys were mostly hip to the fact that QB Bills and Thurmal would be gone, and then it was a crapshoot for who would be the 3rd Bill taken, but surely a 3rd would be filched. Manyo was proactive in selecting Neal Anderson, a dual threat that can serve as a deep ball JJ target in a pinch. Jamie Mueller was sent off to Stu’s Bears in that transaction. Then QB Bills and Thurmal got swiped by Joey B’s Cardinals and Stu’s Steelers respectively, bringing in the talented Mr. Rosenbach and Helicopter Dad Merrill Hoge. DT then swiped Bruce Smith for his Redskins, bringing BRUUUUCE back near his Virginia home, and securing the services of one Corny Biscuit, Cornelius Bennet to be able to hold down the opposing dive plays at LB4 since no more Bills could be “liberated”. Manyo’s 2nd addition was a QB 2 one, Heisman winning Andre Ware was purloined from kamp’s Lions to presumably start ahead of Timmy Rosenbach, with Frank Reich being offered to the Lions as a replacement and big comeback maker.
Net Adds: Neal Anderson, Andre Ware, Timm Rosenbach, Merrill Hoge, Marcus Koch
Net Losses: QB Bills, Thurman Thomas, Frank Reich, Bruce Smith, Jamie Mueller

7 Seed: Stu – Chicago Bears
Stu picking the Bears at #3 was also very Unsurprising. The Bears are his CFT team, that secondary is ELITE, there is a dual running threat, and a very stout DL. Stu ended up picking Boomer Esiason off of DT’s squad, offering in return a bit of his douchebag Harbaugh Style. Stu also snatched Stephone Paige off of the Chiefs roster late, giving Wendell Davis a chance to be THE GUY for Steve De Berg and Tick to target. Predictably, the Bears did not go unscathed in the Player Snatch Phase. As detailed above, Neal Anderson was replaced by Jamie Mueller, and Mark Carrier was seized by gripsmoke’s Packers, giving the hard hitting Chuck Cecil in return. And finally, Mike Singletary got plucked by Manyo and his Vkings in exchange for Scott Studwell.
Net Adds: Boomer Esiason, Stephone Paige, Jamie Mueller, Chuck Cecil, Scott Studwell
Net Losses: Neal Anderson, Mark Carrier, Mike Singletary, Wendell Davis, Jim Harbaugh

    Region ANALysis and PreDICtions
Well, this was the 3rd region to be selected, and it was pretty wild seeing how the Dice Parsin’ roll gods divined us with 5 passable Back and B teams in the Baby Got Back and B’ed Region. While most probably won’t resort to Back and B all the time, I think we’ll have a grand ole time when the situation calls for Back and B in this region, as the Saints, Bills, Raiders, Dolphins and Oilers all could fit as a Back and B team, even though there are plenty of healthy running options on those squads. I have a feeling this is the most jacked region of the tourney. 4 “1st round” teams including the Bears, Oilers, Raiders, and Dolphins. Who will come out of this Back and B Treachery??? I’m gonna guess Oilers (with the power of Grogan!) and the Raiders (the other MOST MOONBALLIEST squad in this region)  come out of this region, with the Bears, Bills, and Dolphins all RIGHT THERE! Definitely the TUFFEST region.

    Lo White End Theory Region
    1 Seed: Joey B – San Francisco 49ers
The Niners went first overall in the draft, and they were the 1st number 1 seed to be selected last night in the Region Selection process, securing a bye in the Lo White End Theory bracket. Both started with a bang and it just felt right that both Joey B and the Roll Gods selected the 49ers first in both of these instances. Choosing the 49ers, you have to know that you’ll be losing Joe Montana AND Jerry Rice, plus probably someone else. This came true, but you are also able to ADD 2 players to the mix as well. Joey selected Ernest Givins to bolster the WR corps in lieu of losing Rice. With the final pick of the Player Snatch Phase, the Niners took Chris Doleman from Manyo’s Vikings to give the 49ers an all 69 HP DL. Instead of Dave Waymer being pilfered, Ronnie Lott was chosen by Stu’s Chargers.
Net Adds: Ernest Givins, Chris Doleman, Chris Miller, Vencie Glenn, Bruce Hill
Net Losses: Jerry Rice, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Mike Wilson, Kevin Fagan

2 Seed: DT – Washington Redskins
DT’s Strategery in many of his picks included securing teams with STOUT OL’s. As the Player Snatch Phase of the draft proceeded, his hopes of teams overlooking the Redskins for their shopping needs faded as first Darrell Green (not Mayhew), then Ricky Sanders, and finally the straw that broke the camel’s back, the WAS OL were all pilfered. With his Dolphins being saddled with the Eagles OL, and then both Green and his Hogs being pilfered by Joey B’s Browns and Jets respectively, sparking DT to be noticeably shook. DT’s next step was all about the VENGEANCE, going right for Dennis Byrd from Joey B’s Jets. DT’s first pilferage was BRUUUUUCE from Manyo’s Bills. Bad things, man. Bad Things…
Net Adds: Bruce Smith, Dennis Byrd, Raymond Clayborn, Ricky Nattiel, JETS OL
Net Losses: Darrell Green, The HOGS, RiGGy Sanders, Marcus Koch, Greg Manusky

    3 Seed: Shamanyo1080 – New York Giants
Manyo took the Giants 2nd overall in the Team draft. GiGGantes yall. It makes sense that it seems Manyo is VERY PUMPED for this GiGGantes squad. 2 RBs, 2 WRs and a LB corps from hell all mean that there will still be a solid RB, WR and LB corps after the Player Snatch Phase of the draft. Getting in front of the whole “potentially stuck with SHITE QBs”, Manyo went and got HIS QB, John Elway. You might be hardpressed to find someone who has more of a Tecmo hard on for playing with John Elway than Gripsmoke, and Manyo is THAT DUDE! Manyo also traded OJ Anderson for Emmitt after Meggett was snatched. LT and Everson Walls were casualties of war. Watch out for this team!
Net Adds: John Elway, Emmitt Smith, Ken Norton Jr, Derrick Fenner, JB Brown
Net Losses: LT, Phil Simms, Dave Meggett, OJ Anderson, Everson Walls

4 Seed: Tick – Atlanta Falcons
Tick got to continue living his best Tugg Life with the Falcons falling to him late in the draft. Immediately, he picked Joe Montana off the Niners to replace Chris Miller. Deion Sanders got pilfered by Kamp’s Lions, and then Andre Rison got snatched by DT’s Bengals. Tick DID pilfer Erik McMillan from Joey B’s Jets to replace Prime Time. Losing Rison was rough, but Shawn Collins is still there as well as Mike Rozier to help the cause.
Net Adds: Joe Montana, Erik McMillan, Leroy Irvin, Eddie Brown
Net Losses: Andre Rison, Deion Sanders, Chris Miller, Scott Case

5 Seed: kamp – New England Patriots
The Patriots are one of only 3 Grey Worm teams in this Shuffle Draft #unsullied. New England was able to add Warren Moon and Christian Okoye in the Player Snatch Phase of the draft, “gifting” Grogan (what a great band name that would be) and Marvin Allen to Tick’s Oilers and Chiefs in the process. The Patriots luckily were able to avoid losing Lippett and will rely on Hurst, Agnew and Tippett to Ronnie hold down the D.
Net Adds: Warren Moon, Christian Okoye
Net Losses: Steve Grogan, Marvin Allen

6 Seed: gripsmoke – Green Bay Packers
Grip took the Packers and proceeded to add Mark Carrier to the mix in the Player Snatch Phase from Stu’s Bears. Bye Bye Chuck Cecil. We will see how effective Carrier is playing for the enemy. Then grip turned up the AC, taking Anthony Carter from Manyo’s Vikings. As the march to the end of the draft proceeded, the AC pick was prescient, as Sterling Sharpe was acquired by Stu’s Steel Curtain in exchange for Louis Lipps, the Ship Sinker. And then the MaJJik was taken from Green Bay by kamp and his Saints, leaving Green Bay with a pair of 44 38 QBs to lead the way in former #1 pick Steve Walsh (#supplemental) and Anthony Dilweg. At least nobody was foolish enough to steal Bob Lurch Nelson away, or there LEGIT would have been HAIL SATAN to pay!
Net Adds: Mark Carrier, Anthony Carter, Louis Lipps, Steve Walsh
Net Losses: Don MaJJkowski, Sterling Sharpe, Chuck Cecil, Perry Kemp

7 Seed: Stu – Pittsburgh Steelers
Stu took the Steelers with his 2nd team pick after acquiring the Bears. Notice a trend there? Yes, Stu likes Defense (and so do I). Predictably, the Steelers lost Rod God Woodson (to the Bengals helmed by DT). However, that was it, as Greg Lloyd (despite some mid draft shenanigans on the google doc) remained a vital part of the Steel Curtain. Stu was able to add Thurman Thomas and Sterling Sharpe from Manyo’s Bills and Grip’s Packers, losing Merrill Hoge and Louis Lipps in the process. Is it Loose Lipps sinks ships? Or Losing Lipps Sinks Ships? Time shall tell…
Net Adds: Thurman Thomas, Sterling Sharpe, Carl Carter
Net Losses: Rod Woodson, Merrill Hoge, Louis Lipps

    Region ANALysis and PreDICtions
The Lo White End Theory region unfortunately does not have Lo White, who along with QB Browns is in the Fear of a QB Browns Planet Region. But it does have some heavy hitters. Joey B’s 49ers, even with Young in for the Lost Joe, are a problem AND they have that 1 seed and it’s bye. Manyo’s Giants are up in this too. That’s the top 2 teams drafted overall y’all! Kamp’s Patriots have some oomph on offense with Moon and Okoye, while still maintaining their reasonable defense. DT’s Redskins are still pretty deep, even with the JETS OL in place of the HOGS, and Grip’s Packers have the weapons on both sides of the ball, despite the drop in level of QB. Tick’s Falcons might not have that Bad Moon speed, but they do have Cool Joe and 50 ms RB and WR to go with Erik McMillan holding down the DB3 spot. Then there’s Stu’s Steelers, with the same Steeler QB Room, yet a Thurmal back support and a Sterling air target in Sharpe. I still see the top 2 teams drafted as the ones to beat here.

    Regional Previews
Fear of a QB Browns Planet Region
1 Seed: Manyo – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Buccaneers predictably lost Wayne Haddix and Vinny Testaverde. After several threats to impugn another squad with the TB OL, Manyo eventually ended up with Jerry Rice for the spice (with Jay Schroeder given to him to replace Vinny) and Gill Byrd to hold down the defense.
Net Adds: Jerry Rice, Gill Byrd, Jay Schroeder, Patrick Hunter
Net Losses: Wayne Haddix, Vinny Testaverde, Bruce Hill, Ricky Reynolds

2 Seed: DT – Seattle Seahawks
The Seahawks went into the Snatching Phase of the Draft with big hopes of keeping Ol’ Mudbone, but alas, Gripsmoke Tabbed Dave Krieg as his QB for the Colts, “gifting” DT the services of one Jeff George. DT did NOT replace Kelly Stouffer (it’s pronounced like offer), instead picking up Wayne Haddix to hold down the D and Dave Meggett to infuse the offense with some versatility as a stud both carrying the rock and running routes and snatching it.
Net Adds: Wayne Haddix, Dave Meggett, Jeff George
Net Losses: Dave Krieg, Patrick Hunter, Derrick Fenner

3 Seed: Gripsmoke – Los Angeles Rams
The Rams got the Tourney Moniker treatment (really just by my impression that THAT movie name mashup would get the most traction, thus The Silence of the Rams). While Silencing of the Rams was attempted, Gripsmoke avoided having an OZONE layer sized hole in his offense by securing the services of QB Browns (and giving up Jim Everett in the process) so the guaranteed stud WR remaining (once a player is pilfered, no more players from that position could be snatched) would have a rodeo partner of merit. Predictably, one of the 2 WRs was taken by Kamp’s Saints (FLIPPER!) and Kevin Greene was silenced from the Rams squad, but an ABSOLUTE BEAST in Derrick Thomas was selected to help the Rams hold it down on the defensive side of the ball. ALSO, HOW COOL IS IT THAT QB BROWNS IS IN THE FEAR OF A QB BROWNS PLANET REGION!?!?!
Net Adds: QB Browns, Derrick Thomas, Brent Perriman, Henry Rolling (s Band)
Net Losses: Jim Everett, Willie FLIPPER Anderson, Kevin Greene, Mike Wilcher

    4 Seed: Joey B – Cleveland Browns
The Browns were the Mr. Irrelevants of the Team draft, but in doing so, also were able to secure the best player overall in the Player Snatch Phase of the draft. The Browns were one of three Grey Worm teams, along with the Colts and Pats #unsullied, where no player was pilfered from their roster. Joey added QB Eagles but also gave up QB Browns in doing so. Still, it’s QBEAGLES! The other player Joey picked to add to the Dawg Pound was Darrell Green from DT’s Redskins.
Net Adds: QB Eagles, Darrell Green
Net Losses: QB Browns, Raymond Clayborn

5 Seed: Stu – San Diego Chargers
Stu’s Chargers had a rough Player Snatch Phase of the draft in my humble opinion. San Diego does NOT have a ton going on offense outside of Marion Butts, and without Butts or a Butts replacement, the San Diego Offense will truly resemble a Whale’s Vagina. Will Butts replacement Lorenzo White be enough? Maybe if Stu employs Manyo’s tried and true Lo White Offensive, the Chargers can make up for losing their Butts. In true Stu fashion, the Chargers BEEFED up the defense. Ronnie Lott and Kevin Greene were added to a defense that DID lose Gill Byrd. Definitely a Stu draft and defense for the Super Chargers.
Net Adds: Ronnie Lott, Kevin Greene, Lorenzo White, Ricky Reynolds
Net Losses: Marion Butts, Gill Byrd, Vencie Glenn, Henry Rolling (s Band)

6 Seed: kamp – Dallas Cowboys
I can verify that kamp was VERY excited (yet still somewhat hesitant due to CIN still being avail) to draft the Cowboys team. While the Cowboys did add a couple of difference makers, they were still a late target for the pilfering protocol. Dallas first picked up Lawrence Taylor, in a move that shocked absolutely nobody, as LT has been a staple in CFT Dallas for the better part of 3 seasons. Dallas also added Jim Everett, sadly saying hadios to Cowboy Troy and Ken Norton Jr. 2 of the final 5 picks in the Player Snatch Phase of the draft targeted the Cowboys, albeit for slight upgrades which meant only slight downgrades for Dallas. Grip Rage Pilfered Manny Hendrix in a clear retaliation move for taking Don Majkowski and Howie Long from his teams, gifting Lionel Washington back, and then in the early morning haze after most of the draft was completed, Manyo announced that Emmitt Smith would be taking his talents to the Meadowlands, returning OJ Anderson for the favor.
Net Adds: Lawrence Taylor, Jim Everett, OJ Anderson, Lionel Washington
Net Losses: Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman, Manny Hendrix, Ken Norton Jr.

7 Seed: Tick – Kansas City Chiefs
Tick’s Chiefs went through Round 1 of the Player Snatch Phase of the draft unsullied, and was unaware that there would be a round 2 as he commented how nobody took any Chiefs. When the smoke cleared after round 2, Kansas City was one of the 9 teams to lose the max of 3 of their original players. In the meantime, Tick added Joey Browner and Lonnie Young, the only squad to add 2 of the same position in the draft. Kansas City first lost Okoye to kamp’s Patriots, then Derrick Thomas to Grip’s Rams, and finally Stephone Paige to Stu’s Bears. Steve De Berg is still around, but he doesn’t have a whole lot of help on offense.
Net Adds: Joey Browner, Lonnie Young, Marvin Allen, Mike Wilcher, Wendell Davis
Net Losses: Derrick Thomas, Christian Okoye, Stephone Paige, Kevin Porter, Deron Cherry

    Region ANALysis and PreDICtions
Brief overview of the teams lead to a quick assessment that the Rams and Cowboys are the 2 top squads here, and maybe I AM a little jaded for those STUD LB1s named LT and DT. However, in what is becoming routine in any of these tecmo get togethers, Grip and I seem to always meet pretty early on with a lot at stake. It started with a MIA CIN matchup down in Lewis County years ago, and has come to be a regular COLTS PATS matchup. As always though, styles make fights. I could see a team like the Bucs sneaking a key victory over either of this squads due to the Shroeded Rice effect, especially with the Bucs getting that first bye. I can also see the Browns and possibly the Seahawks as potential teams for the Elite 8, with not giving too much chance to the Chargers or the Chiefs as their offenses are just too toothless. But for my prediction, I still think Rams and Cowboys make the Elite 8.
    Elite 8: Rams and Cowboys

Meth is a problem: Chargers, Chiefs

Yeah! Big weekend. If it wasn't for this, I might be tempted to hop on a plane and mix it up with @RetroNathan or @Bad Moon Rison two of my favorite Tecmo homies. Good job Knobbe attempting to break down our event, which I have designed to sound as confusing as F. We are very excited about the potential of this format and it should be a very good time! (It always is) Anyone in the PNW, I encourage you to come out to Greenwood Saturday and get involved!

I have thoughts. First off, it was great to get back to hanging and playing with the fellas. Ultimately, this is what I look forward to the most. I really enjoyed the format, up until the choices for the playoffs got real cheesedicky. Here's a recap of my day.

Spent most of Friday ( a day off ) working on the stream setup and overlay. The sound on the stream was fine but my laptop had some kind of Sound error for output that ended up having me spend hours on it until late in the night when I quit and watched the end of day 14 of Hatsu Basho 2019, and then the incredible Women's final in the Aussie Open . In bed late.

Wake up and already had most everything packed but still got off to a late start leaving Tacoma (my bad), but I did end up bringing some larger TVs and some systems to the party.

Arrive and briefly catch up with the crew while unloading the Forester. Great to see 91 Huskies, JBrooks, and GRIP again, it had been since July or before since seeing any of these fools. Sad that Stu and 6Killer couldn't make it. But I was mostly busy setting up so we could get started.

Finally get set up and parked my car and now we ready to roll after DT gave some "description" as to what was going to go down. I learn that if I won I could secure Yokozuna status. This had a YUGE impact on me. Mentally tried to get dialed in and...

Game 1 Week 11 vs PTitteri - I win toss and the best choices are TB DET, KC RAMS, CHI MIN, and ATL WAS. I choose DET TB and pete takes Barry. So I tried to get dialed in and... I get waxed. I lost like 17-3, and it should have been way worse. I threw 3 picks with Vinny and if not for getting a couple of fumbles, this would have been (well really it was) a total demolition. GG Pete.

Game 2 Week 12 vs Invaderstar - Vader wins toss and selects DEN KC. I take DT and he's in excellent. So were the Tecmo Gods favor towards me again, this time I'm able to use their divine gifts to secure a win. Sorry about the shit luck Vader. Vader was pretty down, I think starting 0-2, but he turned this around after this game. 21-13 Chiefs, thanks to a DT blocked XP on Denvers 1st TD as well.

Game 3 Week 13 vs XtraLargent - He wins and calls DAL WAS. I take Dallas and both of his QBs are in bad. I giggle and said something funny about the status of his QBs. I had a good game. DAL 21- WAS 3.

Game 4 Week 14 vs Gripsmoke - I win toss and while there are some solid matchups in this round, I take WAS RAMS, a matchup I really despise. Or maybe Grip called this one? I think I called it and he picked the RAMS and Everett and Green were in EXC. I got stomped. 44 -14. Played bad and Grip OWNED. GG

Game 5 Week 15 vs XtraLargent - Grip wins toss in his game vs PTitteri and calls IND NE. for once I want to win the coin toss, but XL does and he does NOT call IND NE like I request. He picks CIN MIA and I take Danny Boy. I don't remember much about this game but the final says 35 -7. I'm sure I got some cheesedick luck in here somewhere, but I was peak Donkey in my own mind at this point, playing THE SUPREME DONKEY.  GG

Game 6 Week 16 vs GRIP AGAIN - I'm really pissed that we play week 14 and 16 when we could have played IND NE like we ALWAYS do in Week 15, but the Torikumi did not support us this day. Of course I win the toss and there's not a lot of enticing matchups this week. Somehow I thought I was slick and picked SD MIA, really hoping that Grip would take SD, but little did I realize (because my own fault) that Butts was hurt. There's no way Grip takes SD with the uncertainty of Butts status for this game. He takes MIA and Butts DOES come back. A really tight game 17-10 late looks worse on the final score 26-10 after I got a key stop on an outtap (grip claims, I thought I had a drone stand up from losing a grapple on the line of scrimmage and help) on 4th and short where we met in the hole. I get a score and grip takes a safety. This was a key game (or so I thought) because we were both 3-2 coming in. GG Grip

Game 7 Week 16 vs PTitteri -  Pete wins the toss and calls KC RAI. I know I need to win this to secure a bye in the bracket, and hopefully hand Pete his first L of the day. The man was on a mission. I take KC because DT and really I won because Jay Schroeder, even in solid condition, sucks balls. Multiple wide open doinks, and I pull it out, 34-21, securing the 2 seed and a bye.

Playoffs - I get winner of JoeyB vs JBrooks, and Joey handles his business with the young buck who was having a rough time. The kid did great man. But Joey is solid and so it goes. I win the toss and the options are less than stellar. THE best matchup of the 4 in the divisional round is CIN SEA. The other Options were RAI BUF, GB CHI, and WAS SF. I throw CIN SEA as I don't trust that I could stop the BILLS with the Raiders D, and despite a rocky start am able to hold on 17-10.

Playoffs Rd 2 - I play grip and I'm about to lose my shit, because I won the toss and my 2 choices are SEA BUF and GB SF. After a while, I select SEA BUF before DT intervenes because we should only be in the divisional round according to his calculations. So played on a different cart THANK GOD. I have a MIA BUF option and choose it. Grip takes BUF and finds QB BILLS, and Thurmal in EXC. Reed too I think? and his LBs were on point too. I am able to get an early fumble, but Grip gets a ridonk CC to end the half tied 21 21. 2nd half I'm forced to punt and he scores and then I throw a pick to Kelso needing to score. GG  BUF 35-MIA 28.

I'm a little perturbed at this point because winning the toss seemingly meant losing in the most crucial part of this tourney. It happens again after I wait out Joey vs Invader. Joey pulls out the W and my choices are BUF HOU or CHI NO. I would rather not give Joey a good QB, so I select CHI NO and it pays off. It almost didn't, because Joey was still pulling some magic from an excellent Tomczak to good and excellent twins Morris and Davis WRs. I hang on for a 17-14 win.

Pete had to take off because it was so late and he had JBrooks with him and had to drive back home to PTown, so I essentially got a bye past him.

I played the loser of DT vs GRIP, with the chance to play the winner in the finals. We agreed on playing out on the SF HOU super bowls that were left (there were 2). I won the coin toss so DT had SF. I lost 13-7 even though I got 2 key fumbles late, there was zero connection downfield when it counted for Warren Moon, so 3rd place it was.

Great time. Look forward to another Honbasho with perhaps the higher seed getting to call whether they call matchup? Or some other fix for the final rounds.

I ended up packing the car and giving Grip a ride to his car and friend's spot in Burien then head home to catch the final bouts of Senshuraku of Hatsu 2019. Tamawashi wins the Yusho, his first at age 34, pretty impressive, and his wife gave birth to his 2nd child on the same day.

Then I watch the Aussie Open Men's final. I stan for Rafa, but damn he was thoroughly dominated by the Djoker, probably the most impressive I've EVER seen him, and that's saying something.

Great to see everyone again. Didn't get to say by to @XtraLargent so that sucked. Until July I guess?  CFT! CFT! CFT! PNW TECMO RULZ!

It was stated at the beginning of the Honbasho that 40 points will get you Yokozuna status, and if I won, those 8 points would get me to said Yokozuna status. Needless to say I was extremely PUMPED!. Then some things happened, but like the great Konishiki who was the reason I got into sumo back in the 80's I was able to secure Ozeki. Banzai!

(It always is) Anyone in the PNW, I encourage you to come out to Greenwood Saturday and get involved!
