  1. I returned the Gigaware and paid the extra 5 bucks for a Logitech controller. The button response in FCEUltra seems to be better but in Gens I still cannot get the up/left, down/right combination. It will only allow me to run directly into up, down, left, or right. I'm going to have to assume it is a problem with the Gens emulator and I'll have to try a different one.
  2. Actually I did, I forgot to add that in. It calibrated fine and all the buttons worked in my OS panel as well.
  3. Does anyone have any experience with the Gigaware USB controller? I got one today and while it seems to work great with my FEUltra, on the Gens, it will not allow me to run at an angle. It forces me to run either left, right, up, or down, but no combination. I calibrated the controller, assigned the buttons in Gens but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have any experience with that or suggest a different emulator, that I might not have so many problems with. Thanks.
  4. Are you going to be able to fix the tackling error in your new roms? And are there any recent NCAA hacks in the original 28 team style?
  5. I'd just settle for this: Computer defense defends for a pass play when a pass play is picked and a running play when a running play is picked for both player and computer defense. Computer offense finds the best option for the open receiver downfield instead of throwing to a covered running back for a 3 yard gain. More aggressive play: Not picking a running play on 3rd and 15. Your project is admirable but these three changes would go a long way to making the game better
  6. Is anyone else COM vs. COM simulating this year's Super Bowl? Pittsburgh 34 Green Bay 7 Roethlisberger played horrible in the first half but hit Hines Ward on a long pass to score just before halftime. Pittsburhg was up 17-0. Green Bay got the second half kick and Rodgers went right down the field for Green Bay's first score. 17-7 Pittsburgh. After that Green Bay was toast. Rodgers couldn't get a drive going and threw an INT in the fourth. He was constantly pressured all game by Lawrence TImmons and Casey Hampton. Between the two of them I think they had at least 12 sacks. Roethlisberger picked it up in the third and threw 2 TD passes to finish Green Bay off. Hines gets the MVP. He caught all 4 TDs from Roethlisberger and had SIX catches total..
  7. No, they don't. In both Sega and NES, I can rush the QB and play the run D so well, I normally pick pass defense plays and my defense still gives up at least one 30+ yard pass play a game because the DBs came to the line of scrimmage, stopped, and there' 4 receivers wide open down field.
  8. Well then if you've got so much information available here, me keeping my one little fix to myself won't matter a bit. You can't have it both ways.
  9. I've tried this with a twist. I would play offense up to the opponents 20 but score no points and then punt. Then use my defense to try and score points. I got to 0-2-4, allowed 9 points and got tremendously bored with it and gave up. The two games I lost were scores of 3-2 and 6-2, all my ties were obviously 0-0.
  10. I haven't gotten any help yet so, yes I'm researching and going to try and fix it myself. And I'll be keeping it to myself, as well.
  11. Crossposted from my NES thread: I basically loaded up running plays with pitch plays and four-wide running plays and then passing plays, i picked plays with long routes to open up the secondary to run. I don't like the set QB running plays because they make you run the "route" so to speak versus if you just run on a passing play, you drop back and then you can run however you want. I originally tried to do it with Philly but Philly's offensive line is horrible and CUnningham was getting slammed every play. You talked about making my own playbook; are you familiar with editing the Genesis rom at all? I'd like to get some help and/or assistance on making a NCAA hack for the Genesis rom that would include the option and various college game characteristics.
  12. And for the record, I'd love to go back to Nestopia or FCEUltra, but Nesticle seems like the only emulator that doesn't have a tackling glitch with fatcheerleader's NCAA hack.
  13. No. Swilling is too quick to get to the QB to not rush him and my AI usually rushes Spielman too.
  14. I fumble on kickoffs maybe once a season and seem to fumble about once every 3 or 4 games on a punt return and it ALWAYS gets returned for a Touchdown. Not the specific numbers you're looking for but to give you an idea my opponent punts about 8-10 times a game.
