  1. There can only be one Dave. @bruddog, you must leave T-Borg. Sorry, bro.
  2. This is potentially really dangerous. X-factors are not massive. So, you'd see the same, say, 4 matchups by the "pros" once they figured out which matchup gives them the best blowout potential plus x-factor points.
  3. There is no editor application that just does that for you. You'll have to do some actual ROM hacking. The best thing to do is run through the ROMHacking.net getting started doc: http://www.romhacking.net/start/
  4. You can't possibly mean that a bunch of grown men who are largely introverted and still obsessed with an almost 26-year-old video game can be socially awkward? I DON'T BELIEVE YOU!
  5. Hey, man. We gave you enough room to consume oxygen. That is more than enough. ?
  6. You will be glad to hear that during last year's Sweet 16 I turned off their boombox. Yes, they had a boombox blaring the Mort theme song while standing behind the opponent. That junk was llloouudddd. lol
  7. I'm not trying to turn this into some huge debate, but my first Madison was not the most welcoming experience. If I hadn't run into Odell and Diaz before the bracket I probably wouldn't have met nearly anyone. If these player's beef is that they aren't welcomed in without having to introduce themselves first, I totally get it.
  8. This happens at Madison too? Oof. I was talking about Discord/T-Borg. Ok, well then, doubly so.
  9. Yes, people don't know about tournaments but people also don't know about a lot of things. This thread has evolved to getting noobs involved and while that is an important thing to discuss, it is not what Reg's intentions were. I am glad you brought Facebook up because that is definitely an interesting part of this discussion. The biggest vehicle we have to Tecmo promotion is my Facebook page. Since Tundra Bowl is a Madison qualifier, I help promote through FB, email lists, etc. One post for the Tundra Bowl FB event and we reached 6,100 people in Wisconsin within 18hrs. The potential is there with the community organizing. Our actual problem is cohesion, unity, etc. Look at it from my perspective (Not Madison's). There are 3 tournaments on XYZ day/weekend/month. I can't properly promote all of them. (Yes, I understand not all people want to actually grow their tournaments.) Say I send people to TecmoBowl.org to "check out all these tournaments" we have going on. There are very few to no active mods. Who is going to greet them? Help them? Say I send them to Discord. Same thing. No active mods. I literally had to setup a welcome bot to give a fake greeting because prior to that they would go completely unnoticed. As an example, 7 new people have joined Discord in the last few days. No one welcomed any of them. No one recognized their presence. Judging by this thread, everyone wants this great endgame, but, in reality, very few actually want to help do the work. I'm trying my best here but I am spread pretty dang thin with Tecmo. I could use some help. P.S. For the love of all things, when a new player does get engaged, stop the freaking sarcasm, shit talking, writing "lol" when they say something. They don't know you. They don't get your tone. There is a reason so many of them don't come back.
  10. I think you are totally right. It is the same 12 guys in your neck of the woods. Columbus, Green Bay, Cleveland, and Cincinnati all had tourneys within say 6 weeks of each other. That is the problem. Not tournaments in other regions. I'm glad Reg brought this up. This has been a constant conversation I've been having in private with too many of you. I'm all for spreading it out and am all for helping accomplish it.
  11. I don't think the number of tournaments is a problem. I think the lack of cohesion between all tournaments is a problem. If that then means there are too many, then yes, there are too many.
  12. No need. Just add registration instructions, please! I pinned it.
  13. @turbohuna4eva! & @Svelt Add a trivia question. This isn't hard. ??
  14. Nope, Bolt got it. I guess you're up?
  15. I feel like this was canceled or put on hold?
  16. That is a correct answer but not a complete answer.
  17. Which WR(s) is listed incorrectly as an RB in their player data profile?
  18. Label it Juiced and not COM Defense. That is the term we use and that everyone knows what a "juiced" (harder) ROM is. Word, looking good boys!
  19. Those colors look perfectly Tecmo to me. IMO I wouldn't change it.
  20. He isn't actually uploading the ROM. I'll try to fix it.
  21. No, I am telling $13-$17 for a 2-color, non-oversized print, even at 25+, is stupid expensive. $20 for 12 is even more ridiculous. Yes, they look great but you are being rolled over the coals.
  22. Pretty cool to divulge all of this. My only real feedback is that you are getting raped on shirt costs. Those costs are astronomical, even if on a tri-blend/ringspun/American Apparel. I would really look at this portion next year, especially since they are the main sponsor. (At least it appears that way, being front and center on your site.)
