  1. Do you guys know of any? I've done the google and the best one I could find was this: Then there's the one with a 1988 date and a plain white t-shirt that just says "tecmo legend" in black type. Those suck. So come on, with a sweet community like this somebody's got to know of a cool place to get a TSB shirt right!?
  2. Okay, so as long as you could rely on people properly setting up player one and two then there is no need for season play. Thanks.
  3. Yep, I'm with ya. I'm just not seeing a situation where someone is GB (or whoever) in a league and chooses to play as the wrong team in league play. And even if they did, the other person would tell them they chose the wrong team, no?
  4. Any 2 pt conversion news? Is there a playable version floating out there somewhere?
  5. I thought home/away (player 1/player 2) was entirely reliant upon who changed the game beforehand? In that case it wouldn't matter if they chose season mode - either two people launched the game correctly or they didn't. ...right?
  6. So, um, why DO we play season mode in leagues still!? Somebody didn't get the memo
  7. I have the same question as our salvation-seeking friend above. Looks like at the very least the divisional alignments would have to be changed in the spreadsheet. Anything else?
  8. Here is the original rom with the KR and PR MS hacks if anyone wants it... Thanks Jstout. TSB with KR and PR MS Hacks.rar
  9. Brinky, I like your latest update. It looks like you have adjusted the overall rankings as well as tweaking the draft logic, and it makes a big difference overall. I just went through a draft and noticed two things: 1. The WR3 column pulls in the RB data on the drop down selection box when drafting. 2. I got to round 18 pick 28 (my pick) when I got an error and the program stopped. I went through the draft a second time and got the same error in round 16 pick 28. It said "Run-time error '381': Could not get the List property. Invalid property array index." I think both times it happened after selecting a guard, apparently a LG from the code. Here is the highlighted code from the debugger (this is from the 2nd error, though I'm guessing it was the same error both times)... hold_ROW = Application.WorksheetFunction.Match(Me.cmb_LG.List(Me.cmb_LG.ListIndex, 0), Sheet34.Range("BH1:BH200"), False) Is it possible to "set" the user pick(s) at a certain position? I've looked through the code but I can't tell where/how to mess with that directly. Perhaps it could just be a pre-draft option? My thoughts on the draft logic: 56 and 50 MS RB's tend to linger too long (I got Marcus Allen in round 9 for example). I think given the limited number of decent backs that teams should value this position more highly. Some of the best WR's can be grabbed in round 6 or later. They should probably be nabbed early by the CPU teams. I think DB's and QB's are drafted very realistically OLB's go much to quickly in my opinion. I do agree with how they are valued higher than ILB's though. DL are probably overvalued from top to bottom. I understand the studs going in the first round, but after that seeing guys like Pierce Holt go ahead of a 63 MS RB is disheartening. It'd also be nice to see some teams completely write off some of those positions in favor of talent elsewhere. Currently they will place higher value on the 10th worst DL than a decent RB/WR. Overall Brinky, I'd like to reiterate how awesome this is! And let me know if there is an easyish way to mess with the draft logic (code) one's self. I can't code but I wonder if I could find what you've already done and mess with it.
  10. This is the coolest thing I've seen on knobbe yet! Thank you Brinky, and all contributors. I'm going to mess with this more tonight, but is there a simple way to change the draft logic of the cpu teams? I simulated a draft and Montana went at the beginning of the 2nd round I not sure I know where to look for that, or how the player values are derived...
  11. Any progress on turning off/limiting the HP bump with the mojo hack? And also, is there a simple way to have the to have one or both ILB's mirror (and maybe rush occasionally) the QB on pass plays? I've got a rom that is juiced and has the coverage hack but running with the QB is still too easy (and running with the RB's is probably too hard for 44 MS's).
  12. Okay, I added in the Coverage Hack to the rom Tecmoturd provided. It is attached below. I played through the first 4 games on the Colts schedule - NE, MIA, RAI, and DET and went 3-1. Lost to Detroit. The coverage hack acts just the way I would hope - WR almost always covered, RB's and TE sometimes open, and everyone covered a significant amount of time. Running the ball is basically useless though with a 44 MS RB. I think I had one run with a RB more than 10 yards out of the 4 games. Albert Bentley averaged .5 yards on 31 carries and Ivy Joe averaged 1.5 yards on 8 carries. Not good. Is there a way to keep the coverage/juice but make running a little easier? Unfortunately the flip side of that is that running with the QB is way too easy. Both of my quarterbacks averaged about 7 yards on 26 combined carries. I've seen roms that have an ILB mirror the QB's movements. I think that would fix that issue. Anyone know how to add that in? TecmoSuperBowl - Juiced, Coverage, and Run Def Hacks.rar
  13. Yep, that's what I'm talking about. Seems that you're one step ahead of me. Now if I could just find a week 1 version of your rom...
  14. You can just use Kweh's rom...
  15. Late to the party here, but add me to the list of those very impressed with this Rom. I'm surprised no one specifically mentioned the QB Spy logic or the delayed recognition of a picked play, since this is the first rom I've seen to use either of those. I think especially the QB Spy logic is genius as it makes running with the QB hard but still possible. It should be included on all roms! Anyone know if other roms have used this?
  16. Played as the Colts vs NE and vs the Raiders, only controlling Colts secondary (no blitzing). Here's what I liked (my goal being a rom that is difficult to win when your team is overmatched with the computer, while still keeping it as close to the orig rom as possible)... NE still seems like NE, which is nice because while the juice hack makes every team better they still retain their "feel". Raiders were more difficult, especially considering if Jackson/Allen/Brown/Gault got by the Colts secondary they were not going to be caught. On offense against the Raiders, it was rare to rush more than 10 yards on a carry with Bentley. It was significantly easier against the Pats (maybe too easy). Unfortunately passing is still too easy since I could just bomb it deep to the open receiver for an easy score. I'm betting the coverage hack combined with the juice hack would be a better MAN vs COM rom. I've read elsewhere about the "ultra logic" hack so I'll try to see what goes into that. Maybe along the way I can figure out how to hack
  17. Awesome, thanks Tecmoturd. I'm going to play through it now and figure out if more hacks to up the difficulty would be best for a Man vs. Com season...
