  1. I tried the rom out and it looks pretty good, drummer. The only thing I noticed was a problem with names sometimes not showing up. The one that's usually affected is Roethlisberger, due to too many chars. When he throws a TD pass there's just a black space instead of a name. Here's a suggestion to fix it, I'd change his information to Ben Roethlisberg. I have tried this on my roms and it seems to remedy the problem. Other than that, great job!
  2. When I play I usually pick the run play the COM uses the most and try to make the COM's offense one-dimensional. Then I look at the plays and try to find similarities between them to find the one spot where can wreak the most havoc. For example, take the default playbook for the Cardinals. They have a rollout with a man in motion and the corresponding sweep with motion, then they have the toss where the HB fakes a hand-off to the WR, the WR reverse, the flea flicker, and the motion PA pass and run up the middle. ( I can't recall the play names, so I apologize for my drawn out descriptions) If you know the key places to blitz you can blow up practically all these plays. I usually would pick the motion sweep run play and then read the formation. If it's one of the single back sets like the fake WR reverse I take my outside backer and dive at the HB. If it isn't that particular run play, your player is going to dive at whoever has the ball. So if it is that play, you stop the HB cold. If it's the WR reverse or the flea flicker, then you have also blown those plays up as well just by stopping the HB from completing the handoff. If it's the motion PA pass or run, I use the NT, side step the center, and dive. Again, you'll take out whoever has the ball and they're stopped cold again. I hope this helps.
  3. So how DO you save any changes you make on Vista? I would like to create a ML themed rom like maybe a NL Central vs. AL East Rom but Vista will simply not let me save any changes to Baseball Stars 1 or 2 edits. I could edit it with my hex editor but that takes much longer and I'd like to avoid that route.
  4. Hi everyone. I have FCEU as my nes emulator and I would like to take a screen shot. I know you can record videos of your games, but is there anyway you can take a screen shot? I have checked through all the options and I don't see it listed as an option or would I need another emulator to be able to do this?
  5. Is there anyway to have a variable coverage for the COM defense or does it have to the soft/ max coverage? Has anyone tried this for any of the sega tecmos?
  6. I figured out my mistake. The max coverage works great.
  7. I changed 0x28b44 and 0x28b45 both to ea and the CPU coverage seemed better in preseason but the game froze. Anybody else have that experience? I should mention that I tried to edit this with a hex editor. Should I have tried to edit it with another program instead? I've got some programming experience but I'm still a noob at some of this.
  8. Thanks Buck, the "mojo" was another question I had. I was wondering where the location of that was in the NES version of tsb. The chart you provided will be a big help.
  9. Hi everyone, I would like to create a version of tsb where the coverage and juice level is the same over the entire season, regardless of wins or losses, and where the gameplay is more dependent upon player attributes rather than the juice level. I guess what I am trying to achieve with gameplay is something similar to the original tsb for sega but more challenging and more realistic. I want to get away from having a CPU player with 25 max speed running like a track star later in the season leaving a user player with a much higher max speed in the dust. I also want to be able to run the ball later in the season without having the CPU defense in the backfield as soon as the ball is snapped. I have been tweaking the juice levels with my hex editor but I am having trouble getting it right. Has anybody tried to do this?
  10. Hey guys, Loved the new 32 team format. The only problem I saw, and it's a minor one, is a glitch on Neil Rackers' name. His name was scrambled but I was able to fix it with my hex editor. Looks his name was in small letters and needed to be in CAPS, on my editor anyways. Other than that I think you did a fantastic job!
