  3. Blono Tecmo XVI Recap: https://tecmopsycho.blogspot.com/2019/02/blono-tecmo-xvi.html
  4. Super Contra 24-Hour Charity Marathon starts tomorrow at 5 PM EST. You can watch and interact on any of the following platforms: Twitch (preferred) Computer or Television: www.twitch.tv/frozensith Mobile or Tablet: Download the app or https://m.twitch.tv/frozensith Facebook Live (friends and family) Just go to my profile and watch YouTube Gaming https://gaming.youtube.com/c/FrozenSith/live OR https://www.youtube.com/user/tecmopsycho I am doing this to raise money for Riley Children's Hospital. My goal is a minimum of $500. I hope to surpass that amount at the end of the 24 hours. Any donation amount helps and is tax deductible. Please read about it on my Extra Life page. https://www.extra-life.org/participant/superc Secondly, I am doing this to obtain the total points world record on Super C for the Nintendo Entertainment System. In order to accomplish this I will have to complete the game at least 71 times without a continue or game over. I am only allowed one 15-minute break every three hours. If you can't donate, come watch, interact, or just keep me awake. I appreciate any support I can get with this! . . #extralife #charity #retrogaming #nintendo #superc #contra
  5. I am in the process of trying to set up my system so that I will live stream to Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook Live at the same time. Here is my Extra Life Page for donations. Appreciate anyone willing to watch and/or donate.
  6. Super C World Record Charity Event I haven't posted here for a while so I hope this finds all of you well. For those who are interested, I will be attempting the world record for total points on Super C for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Here is an interesting breakdown of this world record: The current world record holder is John Heins who accumulated 14,033,990 points. The rules to complete this record are "limited leeching is permitted at the referee's discretion. Leeching is continually shooting all possible enemies that respawn. Player should complete the game in its natural progression. Please note that when you beat the game, it starts over from the begining with your score intact, so you may continue on until you either lose all your lives and reach the Game Over Screen or the Score maxes out. No pausing is permitted. No continues are allowed. No codes or cheats enabled. One fifteen-minute break is permitted every three hours, but the game cannot be paused and lives may be lost. No other breaks are permitted." Now in order to get this record and averaging twenty minutes a run through (all eight stages), I would have to average 200,580 for 23 hours and 37 minutes (beat the game 71 times) without having a continue and only the permitted breaks allowed in the rules. During this live stream I also want to do something meaningful. I am trying to raise funds for sick children at Riley Children's Hospital (the Children's Miracle Hospital here in Indianapolis). On July 10, come watch, cheer me on, keep me awake, and help out these kids. Every little bit helps. I will post the exact start time and stream link when I get closer to July 10.

  8. A recap of my weekend: blog post Congratulations to all other winners in the multiple tournaments.
  9. Haven't been on here in a minute, but for anyone interested in obtaining a copy of the game there is one week left for sign ups. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1438033269854413/
  10. All pass plays No QB scrambling past the line of scrimmage No punts No FGs No lurching on defense COM playbooks not changed Everett injured twice during season Played on console Regular Season was 104 TDs / 0 INTs Everett and Long combined. Greene had 87 Sacks. With playoffs it was 115 TDs / 0 INTs (two TDs were kick returns by Aaron Cox in Super Bowl). Greene finished with 99 Sacks (the last play of the game was a dive fumble and it would have been sweet to finish on 100 exactly. This was super difficult considering I did not scramble for first downs and had many turnovers not being able to punt or kick FGs. *Note that I played a season before this and threw a pick in Week 17 after 107 TDs. The frustration was high as I gambled throwing to Flipper in the 3rd quarter and was picked in the end zone by Nesby Glascow. *All be it purposeful, this is the first time in my 24 years of playing this game that i finished a season with no INTs.

  16. I am sitting in a Mexican restaurant in Noblesville, IN trying to digest my food and this news. I have played Tecmo Super Bowl for the better part of 24 years. In 2010 I started playing online Tecmo after finding the Repository. It was there where I viewed the YouTube video about Tecmo Madison. From that very moment I told myself I was going, even if by myself, I was going. I have not missed a tournament since. I cannot express the joy that all of you have put in my heart the past five years. It is because of this very tournament that I continued to play this game competitively. I can honestly say that it has made me the player that I am. Every tournament I attend tries to emulate just a small moment of what Madison brings. Tecmo Madison gave me a bond with my son that very few can boast about. Thank you for all the hard work and countless hours of time and thought process that you guys have invested in making this game what it is. Even more so, thank you for doing what it right. While Tecmo had brought me great joy, it has also put a great strain on my family. Mainly my wife. She journeyed with me to the Hoss Whisper and has been a reluctant supporter of my play. Each year she reminds me where my priorities are. I spoke with you about this the last time we talked. I will thoroughly enjoy playing this year, and can rest more easily that I will not be planning trips six hours away a year in advance anymore. I too will follow with more time for my priorities. Again, you guys are the best. Good luck as you move forward in your endeavors and with your families.
  17. It is a travesty that Charles Haley is not on the top three DL (he's listed as DE for purposes of the formula). He is absolutely my vote. No question.
  18. Happy Birthday Tecmo Super Bowl What better way to release the final Fan Input Poll: Fan Favorites "Fan Favorites" will feature six polls for fans of the game to "save" an original Tecmo Super Bowl ('91) player that did not make the 25th Anniversary cut. Each poll will be done by the 1991 AFC and NFC divisions (AFC East, AFC Central, AFC West, NFC East, NFC Central, and NFC West). A list of the of the original Tecmo Super Bowl ('91) players who made the 25th Anniversary ROM will be listed in the polls. If one of you favorite players didn't make the cut, you can cast a vote to save him. The players from each of the six divisions who are saved by the community will be featured in the game as a special type of player with an incredible attribute (IE: Lonnie Young RS). The final group is the NFC West. Who would you save that is not on the list below? Voting rules: 1. Comment for your vote. 2. You can only vote one time. 3. No editing votes. 4. You have to choose between offense or defense (you only get one vote, not for each). QB: Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Jim Everett RB: Dalton Hilliard, Cleveland Gary, and Roger Craig WR: Jerry Rice, John Taylor, Andre Rison, Eric Martin, Henry Ellard, and Willie Anderson TE: Brent Jones, Hoby Brenner, and Pete Holohan OL: Bill Fralic, Mike Kenn, Joel Hilgenberg, Jim Dombrowski, Stan Brock, Jesse Sapolu, Guy McIntyre, Harris Barton, Steve Wallace, Doug Smith, Tom Newberry, and Jackie Slater K: Morten Andersen DL: Wayne Martin, Jim Wilks, and Michael Carter LB: Jesse Tuggle, John Rade, Tim Green, Pat Swilling, Vaughan Johnson, Sam Mills, Ricky Jackson, Ken Norton (S.F.), Mike Wilcher, and Kevin Greene DB: Scott Case, Deion Sanders, Gene Atkins, Brett Maxie, Don Griffin, Ronnie Lott, and Jerry Gray P: Scott Fulhage and Tommy Barnhardt If there is a favorite of yours that didn't make it, list your player as a comment. The most votes for players not already listed above by Christmas Day will join Erik McMillan, Richard Johnson, Bo Jackson, Martin Mayhew, and Wayne Haddix as the final of six on the game with a unique/special attribute.
  19. As said several times before, this thread is not a debate on who should be or should not be on the game, but an opportunity to save an ORIGINAL ROM PLAYER that is a fan favorite. AGAIN, career statistics are not the only factor in determining who made it. That information will only be given to the 25 people who will own the game. Steve Christie played one season with the Bucs. Kevin Butler and Robbie Gould are by far and away the only kickers in the conversation for Chicago. I said I would not refer to players other than the orginal and I am sticking to that, but you are forgetting contributions of players toward multiple teams in their careers and their standing in those other franchises. I'm glad you are discussing, but it is reserved for voting on the fan favorite for each division. With all that being said, is Majik your vote?
