  1. So Scotch's dominance was short-lived. He was in bad shape and I realized how low his "receptions" number was. Jack Wales took over as the main target and ended up with 47 rec/2001 yds and 21 TDs (he was in "excellent" shape for what must have been 6 or 7 games in a row). Ended up 14-2 with 658 PF and 497 PA. Squeaked by the Pachyderms in the playoffs(63-55) then had no trouble with the Players (35-21)and the Trouble (42-17). Interestingly the Rainbow had only 2 sacks all season, and only 3 players in the whole league qualified on the punt return leaders board. As you said nicely balanced team. I've finished three other seasons. More to come.
  2. Haven't visited the site lately and haven't played Tecmo in months, but that is about to change. Holy Buck! Looking forward to checking this ROM out. Christmas came a little early this year. Butterfly in the sky. I can go twice as high. George C. Scotch is ripping it up. Through 3 games he has 6 rushes for 244 yards and 6 TDs, and 12 catches for 748 yards and 11TDs btw Buck, you're right, 8,191 is the max for passing yards for a QB. Did several seasons with a ultra edited super team trying to figure out the limits for each statistical category. Maybe I'll post the results at some point. Thanks for all the good work!
  3. I played the Ball Hawk version of this ROM for the first time today. I've been going through MGK's thread of recommended/popular ROMS. It took me a few games to figure out how the offense works. Still not great at the passing end of things, but love blocking downfield for the running plays. Really great take on the game. I noticed an odd thing when looking through the stat leaders. Seattle's placekicker had attempted a huge amount of FGs only a couple of games into the season. I simmed out the whole season and Mare ended up going 66-157 on FG attempts. Seattle as a team went 0-16. They scored 220 (mostly on FGs) and gave up 830 points. I simmed another season and got similar results for Seattle. I thought it was pretty interesting, and kind of cool. Never have seen anything like it before, unless I was the one kicking all the FGs.
  4. Thanks Buck! Very generous offer. It will take me a day or two to get the player's names together. What is the best way to send you the info?
  5. This is a pretty untimely observation, but this is such an excellent ROM I figure it might be worthwhile. When playing the Madison Monks versus the Vermont Noire it's difficult to tell the teams apart because the color is so similar. Although, it might just be the color configuration on my system. Also is it possible to edit this ROM? I wanted to edit the team name and player names on one of the teams. My brother was born in the Azores and I thought it would be cool to do an Azorean team for him. Thanks!
  6. Been playing the hell out this ROM on and off the past few years. It's my favorite version other than the original. Nothing else like that Harmonics Defense.
  7. I just downloaded Mono to my MAC, but haven't figured out how to run the TSBTool's exe file. I think I have to build an app package for it, but as of yet I don't know how to build one.
  8. How did your season end up? I've been trying something similar, but I don't seem to be getting any credit in the standings. I'm always in last place even though I shouldn't be.
  9. Can anyone explain the difference between simming with SKP mode versus COM mode. I SKP simmed a season where I edited all the player info for the Chargers team to a value of 100. They went 15-1 and were 2nd in total offense and 4th in total defense and mostly beat teams by a few touchdowns. I thought they would go undefeated and be the number 1 offense and defense and thoroughly thrash any opponent. In the playoffs I COM simmed the games and they were the dominant team I expected. They outscored teams at least 99-0 and their opponents barely gained any yards. Something is definitely different. I tried to look through past threads, but didn't turn up anything. Thanks.
  10. I'm pretty new to the wonders of Super Tecmo Bowl Roms and was wondering if there was a rom out there that addressed the statistical limitations of the original game, for example: only giving a team credit for the first 99 points scored in a given game, only allowing a player 4,095 yards per type of stat, not giving players credit for onside kick or fumble returns for touchdowns. Thanks so much.
