Console or on an emulator vs a friend. 1.) Dislike online play in general (impersonal, not very fun) 2.) Can't take an extended halftime break to get munchies (or smoke one) online 3.) Time zone difference 4.) Language barrier/trash talking with a mic 5.) Lag 6.) I am not competitive enough to play online 7.) Could not commit to a league (would end up dropping out mid season no doubt) 8.) As per the Puretecmo page I have little desire to play against "the best in the world". * Flooding over but dealing with a mess in my place, needed to post something to take a break from reality *

Played the NES TSB with my mate (Jets vs KC) and it was one of those games that ended in a 3-3 tie as nobody could make a fg and I should have won the game in regulation but decided for one more run and fumbled. I think we had missed 5 fgs each or more? Probably more. Since loser paid for FEBO we fired up another game and in the 4th quarter I lost on a TD on 4th and goal as nobody wanted to kick FGs since we knew they would miss. Granted we were under the influence during this game(s) but still one of the few memorable games we had.

Been too busy with work (tourist season) to work on the ROM. When things slow down I will post more

Always a fan of Google but would rather hear the info from a local who knows the area. But that's just me... Even links to reputable info on the main tourney page would be cool. Don't need a travel agent just one or two tips. Many times I have been burned by hotels as the ratings are far higher than they should be. I suspect the employees are giving the hotel better ratings on some sites.

Not like I can afford or have the time to go to this one as a weird foreign person I would like to know when traveling the following: - average cost of hotel near the area of the tournament. As most places will rip you off then I tell a local the price and they laugh and say I was ripped off... - Is it in a safe part of town or should I not be roaming the streets at night? - How much for food? And what food is mostly served there? - What is the sales tax there? - Any local laws I should know? (no smoking inside bars, can I drink beer on the street...etc?) But like I said I can't make this one but hope to make the Madison one next year.

Been a while since I played this but another classic game. Was getting beat bad and the CPU picked the 1st three plays of mine to start the game. Add in some fumbles and an INT and I was down 27-7 after one quarter. 2nd quarter my RB gets injured and same possession I gave up a safety and they got a FG making it a joke 32-7 though I got a FG and a last sec TD (XP blocked) to make it 32-16. Third quarter I had to kick off and held them. Had 2 TDs to make it close and I felt I had a chance down by 2. Got another TD to start the 4th and I was up by 5 (37-32). CPU scores (39-37) and I fumble the ball and they score again (46-37) I thought oh well I guess I wont win this game. But I get a TD to make it a 46-44 game. CPU gets a TD and they are ahead again 53-44. About 2:04 left and I get another TD and have no choice to kick the onside. I fail and CPU has the ball ahead by 2 with 0:32 left. I stop a run and there is 18 seconds or so left. I figured I have lost this one but the CPU calls a pass play, CPU drops back.. I run around the OL and dive with the DL and its a FUMBLE! the ball bounces around about 4 times and is getting close to the sideline! But my player picks it up and I am zigging and zagging to the end zone. the cpu must have some rocket shoes as they are gaining on me. the CPU dives and tackles me but my player is in the endzone (about 2/3 of him) it is a TD!!!

I am sooooo going to next years tournament...

It's funny as just when I start to get bored I find a new location I am looking for (the blimp for example). My only pain is knowing I have to play a season to see where the colour changes are for the Super Bowl halftime show. I have already changed the graphics for it and want to see how it looks. Also having to play the first half in hopes of the right cut screen showing up is a pain too.
