  1. Piggybacking off the success of Pokeman Go, Tecmo Co. has decided to tap into their popular Tecmo Bowl franchise and release their version of an augment reality game where players are to go out and track down as many Tecmo players as they can find. "We've found that there is a market for this combination of nostalgia and recreation" said company spokesperson Fakati Persono. "Our characters will be located on the blockpass chain which will lead to non-fungable Tecmo (NFTs) For more information, check the date of posting for this completely fabricated story.

  3. In a 'better late than never' release, the 13th annual Tecmbowl.org Tecmo Super Bowl edition appears for the first time as a post-season release. While the rom itself features the typical OG-type ratings you've come to expect, some changes of note have been in updating the graphics and addressing a fairly unnoticed but longstanding issue. ** Pick up the game here ** There are a few complex helmets that have their own design pattern like the Bengals and the Rams. When the Jaguars came out with their gradient style helmet, the Rams pattern was repurposed for the Jags and the Rams helmet was drawn with the constraints used for most helmets. As you can see that while the 2005 version of the Rams' helmet does a good job of representing the helmet, it's at the cost of reducing the size of the Rams' horn. With the Rams unveiling a new helmet and with the Jaguars dropping the gradient back in 2018, this offseason proved to be an opportune time to revert the special design pattern back to the Rams. What you'll find is a design that attempts to mimic the symmetrical half circle curve of today's Ram helmet while expanding back out towards the edges. One other longstanding yet seemingly unnoticed issue was the trivial detail of individual player positions not being remapped. For example, the 2020 Jaguars were updated to have a starting lineup that had 1 RB and 3 WRs. However, if you drilled down into individual players you'd find that it would pull up positions that didn't match. Thus, WR Dede Westbrook appears as a RB. This year the players are mapped correctly. Look for the 14th release of this rom to once again be released in the preseason a few days before the first Thursday kickoff. View full article

  5. Just in time for the Super Bowl, it's the end of season release of long time TSB modder @SBlueman. This meticulous release comes in three flavors: Vanilla, Hard Type, and Hard Type-Road Team as player 2. Don't let the 'Vanilla' moniker fool you as there is a laundry list of modification from the original game besides the roster updates. For instance, the touchback has been changed to the 25 yard line and the extra point attempt has been moved back to the 15 yard line. There are logic changes like the computer taking less sacks or not kicking a FG too early towards the end of the half. Little things like the animation of the QB being changed as he dropped back...did you see it? To quote Shawshank, " I mean, seriously, how often do you look at a man's shoes?" Please click the above link to read through the list of 30 changes for yourself. The Hard Type versions are for the "do you even lift, bro" Tecmo crowd as the famed Tecmo Juice gets turned up quickly and the CPU quarterback starts throwing at the receivers you're not covering. Come get some. You can find this in our download section or at http://sblueman.com View full article

  7. Another year, another prediction as Kansas City returns to try to repeat as Super Bowl winners whereas "Tompa Bay" put behind some early seasons growing pains to become a force in the NFC. Given odds makers have the Chiefs winning by around 3 with an over/under of 56, you'll find that this simulation manages to mirror that consensus.

  9. 2020 was a trying time for the world and this website unfortunately was no exception. Like most any forum/message board, TBorg was a place where you might find collaboration or conflict. Over the last few years there had been increasing conflict over in-person and/or paid entry Tecmo tournaments that seemed to provide some with the misplaced sentiment that a 20+ year old video game was some sort of fledgling e-sport to be capitalized on. This conflict unfortunately devolved to the point that litigation was brought against some long-time members, something certainly to avoid. In lieu of just closing down forever, the site is returning with a few noteworthy modifications. The site's forums will no longer be publicly viewable and the site will no longer make any effort to promote in-person and/or paid entry Tecmo tournaments. It's a hope this site will go about releasing new versions of Tecmo Super Bowl. It's a hope to take the 20+ years’ worth of information on this site and start organizing it in a more straightforward manner. It's a hope to return to the roots of the vision for this site: a site dedicated to the storage of Tecmo Super Bowl back-ups, the development of patches to update and enhance the game, and the retention of all things Tecmo Super Bowl related. It's a hope this site will be around another 20 years. Welcome back. View full article
