I agree. That's when a legend's true mettle is formed. And that's why I'll consider a Super Bowl win to be mission accomplished!

Are you dropping into coverage on D or rushing the QB nearly every play?

I am FS Young nearly every defensive play because of his incredibly high running (=starting) speed attribute (69). On passes I mostly drop into coverage. That week 2 Eagles game was kind of a fluke as far as QB Eagles having 0 passing yards. Usually Eagles can hit Byars, Williams or Jackson a few times in my experience.

Week 3: 7 TD, 1 KR Fumble lost (led to easy WAS TD).

Wolf Man tops 900 yd three weeks in. When will he slow down? It's anyone's guess.

Week 4: only 1 TD, TWO Fumbles (one on fourth down, one in the fourth quarter trying to close out the game).

Wolfley's dominance is significantly dwindling, but he tops a thousand yards after only four weeks and comfortably leads the league in Rushing. But how long can he hold off Bo, Brooks, Okoye, Humphrey and Hoge?

Oh, you'll continue leading the league in rushing for a while, it's the wins that might stop.

I'm curious when I'll get my first loss. In week five I ran into a SS Fred Marion who was playing like David Fulcher.

Week 5: 2 (4th-quarter) TDs, 1 Fumble lost (not in the ENDZONE, Wolfley!)

Week 6: 2 TD, 1 Fumble lost (on last play of the game, thankfully someone was able to chase down LT)

My first time turning the ball over on downs deep in my own territory, leading to an easy Matt Bahr FG.

    Week 7: DAMN

Wolfley answers after Vikes go up 14-0 on first two drives. In the 4th quarter Wolfley fumbles on the Vikes 15 in what should have been a game tying drive. I had plenty of time, so I should have played better ball control. It also didn't help allowing WWilson to QB sneak his way out of a 3rd and long at midfield, which led to the Vikes' winning TD.

    Week 8: 3TD, 2 Fumbles (1 lost)

I'm thinking the Falcons were cream puff compared to what's in store. Having to worry about only one defensive player the whole game is a rare treat at this point in the season.

I am going the more aggressive approach. Coverage doesnt really work too well with JJs like Andre Reed, haha. So i usually go with the three DL to try and get the QBs. which usually fails for me xD

Week 15 my rushing the QB/RB pretty much worked as i flattened the Colts with a couple of safeties. Of course this was easy considering how bad their OL is xD though they did get a couple of lucky INTs so i guess i shouldnt be surprised.

Week 16 was a heartbreaker as i managed to blow a 23-7 lead to lose 24-23 after a last second field goal.

Two weeks in with Grogan. One win was against the Colts 28-21 with him throwing for 400 yards (Fryar definite stud, though i had help from Marv Cook and a little from H.L. Dykes) and 28-14  over the Browns with him throwing for 300+ yards.

    and here's week 3 results:

This match was pretty contested as Rod Woodson got a couple of picks in the endzone, and one of the LBs got a lucky diving INT that led to one of the scoring drives.

Week 4 was Houston x NE. Again barely pulled it out as the Oilers had recovered an onside earlier in the game.

Which leads to the final game for the evening, Week 5 vs Phoenix. Johnny Johnson pretty much ran me over all game, but i managed to rally back after a very lucky fumble from Garth Jax, who had INT'd the ball intended for Fryar. Patriots win in overtime 27-21

File Name: Tecmo Super Bowl 1977

    File Submitter: Baron von Lector

    File Submitted: 22 Jul 2015

    File Category: SNES

I take back what I posted a few weeks ago. THIS is my most ambitious project to date. I took the flaming pile of digital garbage that I put out back in February (Tecmo Super Bowl 1977 – NES) and updated it with 16-bit graphics.

To go along with the visual upgrade, I went through it player-by-player and updated all of the ratings, jersey numbers, skin color, and simdata. I also updated all of the team simdata so that the SKP teams during the regular season play similar to their real-life 1977 counterparts. When simulating a test season, the game correctly simulated four of the six division winners. Only the AFC East and West were incorrect, and with those, the teams in 1st and 2nd flip-flopped.

I updated the schedule in the game so that it accurately reflects the 1977 season.

During the player rating editing process, I found the AV scores (approximate value) on pro-football-reference.com for each of the players to be a HUGE god-send.

EDIT: Because I figured out how, I've added the 3rd member of the TSB77 family, the black sheep Sega Genesis version:  CLICK HERE.

This ROM is the 1984 edition of Tecmo Super Bowl for the SNES.  I used Tecmo_Bot’s 1984 8-bit ROM as a baseline.  I then corrected player names (depth chart and spelling), jersey numbers, race, player ratings, and simdata.  Because of the changes, Eric Dickerson will rush for (or at least come close to) 2,100 yards, just like he did in 1984.  Also, Miami and San Francisco (the year’s Super Bowl participants) usually finish at the top of their respective divisions.  A lot of tweaking was involved to make the ROM mirror the 1984 season as closely as possible.

Also, included with this ROM (below the download link) is the .srm file that you save in the same directory as the .smc file (the ROM) so that the Pro-Bowl rosters are the same as 1984’s.

DOWNLOAD .srm file for correct Pro Bowl rosters.

    Kinda the same problem with the Genesis version sadly though a couple of guys on here are looking into a 32 team SNES rom at the moment. Unfortunately the Genesis doesnt get the kind of love the NES and SNES version does. XD though i decided to test how the NES stats would work on the Genesis version by copying it over. Rathman still popcorns the daylights out of people. Can't get Bo to do so though .-.;
End results of the nes stats transferred to Genesis:

TecmoSuperFan got a reaction from Baron von Lector in RBI 1974 (or the year Hammerin Hank hit #715)
Here's another rom for RBI, this time the year is 1974, which saw Hank Aaron hit #715, thus surpassing Babe Ruth on the Home Run records list. It also saw his final year as a Brave before being sent to Milwaukee the next year. The teams for this year are Baltimore, Oakland, Cincinnatti, Atlanta, the Yankees, LA, St Louis, Pittsburgh, the Rangers, and Boston. This year also had both Niekro boys on the Braves, so it'll be quite a treat. Hope you enjoy

Using my handy TI-83 graphing calculator and a recent lesson about linear regression in my statistics class, I have developed formulas for determining a player’s Power and Contact rating based on their batting average and homerun totals for the year.

After developing the formulas, using QBasic, I wrote a program that calculates the ratings once you plug in the appropriate values.  It’s not pretty, but it’s functional.

For sampling, I used the statistics of every starting lineup player of the original RBI Baseball for every team, with the exceptions being the two All-Star Teams (64 total).

For reference purposes, the formulas are as follows:
    [POWER] y = 4.94x + 745
    [CONTACT] y = -.253x + 91
