  1. Is there a hack that adjusts where the COM will be willing to go for a field goal? They always seem to be willing to go for 50-60 yard kicks which seem a bit unrealistic. Basically it would be great to have a hack where you can set it so COM never tries a FG unless they are inside the 40 or some, set yardline.
  2. Do you have any SET Commands for the playoff changes you made? Do you know if they can be made workable for a 32 team rom? Basically, is there a way to just put the division winner from each division into one of the 8 playoff slots. No wild card.
  3. From your comment it sounds like after the division winners are determined and sorted it then loads the teams as wildcards by best record. Is there was a way to eliminate all divisions or the check for division winners that would/could get the game go straight to checking wildcards and therefore place ALL the teams in the playoffs based strictly on record? And from there could you set it so it just chooses the top 4 teams? And get an easy 4 team NCAA playoff? Or am I reading that wrong?
  4. How would one make the 8 team playoffs for a 32 team rom? Basically winner of each division gets a playoff spot?

  6. is there a way to make onside recoveries easier or more likely earlier in the game to reflect the fact that unexpected onsides are always more successful. Maybe have the percentage higher before the 4th quarter and lower in the 4th quarter??
  7. This sounds more like a true no-huddle. The offense calls it fast and the defense can't get their call/substitutions in so it is at a disadvantage. But instead of random, combine that with quince 3800's idea above of the defense stuck in its previous call. That should also prevent the chance of the defense randomly calling the same play.
  8. This did not seem to change the division sizes when I made changes in the 32 team roms? How would one adjust division sizes for that? Specifically the 8 divisions would have 4 teams, 4 teams, 3 teams, 3 teams 6 teams, 6 teams, 3 teams, 3 teams
  9. How and where does one implement this code into a ROM that already exists? Is that possible? Is there a SET command?
  10. the field is awesome. how do you put the same team in multiple wildcard spots? Is there a set command that could do that? or is it more complicated?
  11. Would it be possible to set it up so if the ball goes 5 or 6 yards deep or further into the end zone it is an automatic touchback? Somehow move the line that makes the game think the ball went past the back of the end zone to the middle of the endzone?
  12. Do you have the documentation on how you were able to determine which teams go where from your 67-69 roms? Would it be easy to translate to the 32 team rom?
  13. Awesome. thanks. the 32 team rom already has 2 conferences with 4 divisions each. (i think that is what you meant). So just the 1st place team from each division.
  14. exactly... basically have only the division winners advance to playoffs. so 8 total teams (4 on each side)
  15. how would one change this to work for the 32 team rom?
  16. i really like the roms that have custom defenses, that also have the pick-a-play feature that blows you up if the defense makes the right call. i assume the way the pick-a-play works is that all the defensive players get super boosts and therefore the play you are trying to run is blown up and that is why it can still be implemented in roms with custom defenses. I would love to see the pick-a-play taken a step further though and have the defense get partial boosts if they call a play close to the one called. If run 1 is called by the offense and the defense also calls a run, they should get some credit for calling run. maybe 1 or 2 specific players could get boosts in that situation. alternatively, it would be cool to have the opposite effect as well. If the defense calls run 1 and the offense calls pass 4 the offense should get an advantage or boost or partial boost since they tricked the defense so badly. would anything like this be possible? or has anyone already implemented something like that?
  17. any fumble erases the stats that occurred before it. INT, Catch, Long Run, TD, whatever. I assume this hack only works after TDs, so is there a hack that fixes this so stats are kept after any/all fumbles?
  18. i just thought of a question when i was looking at this... Is it possible to change the lineup of the kick return team (or kickoff team too for that matter)? For instance could you replace the QB and RB1 & WR1 with defensive players or D-Lineman to get better blocking/popcorning ability? Or on the kickoff side could you sub in some skill positions players for speedier special teams? Does anyone know how the game knows which player to put into each slot on special teams?
  19. i don't think season stats are compiled during the playoffs... does anyone know how to change that so the season stats to continue to add up through the playoffs?
  20. if they could all be excellent that would be... um... excellent. but average is good too. just so all the players are on the same page. so the great players are always better than the lower rated players. I also like the +1 idea for the home team in college. another way i was thinking of doing something like that was to just put all the big rivalry games in one or two specific weeks and with the juice helper spreadsheet, juice those weeks a little more than the rest.
  21. is there any way to eliminate player condition changes? so every player is in top condition at all times?
  22. is there a patch or SET command for this?
  23. i am working on a college football rom and I figured i would check on this again with anyone.... how would one make it so only the division winners qualify for the playoffs. i edited the PPU stuff in fxeucd but i do not know how to get those changes translated into hex to save it in the actual rom. the eight 4-team conferences i have are an SEC 1&2 (east/west) a big 12 N & S, a Big 10, a Big 10/Big East combo, a Pac 10, and a Pac/wac/mwc combo. basically am looking for each conference winner to always go to the same spot so the 1st round is like the conference championship games. for instance, SEC 1 plays SEC 2, big 12 N vs Big 12 S, etc... Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Basically i want to figure out how to have the playoffs like the attached image:
  24. With little to no effort on my part, I used TSB playmaker to transfer the WR & RB playbooks into a college ROM i have and presto... The Bring it Heisman challenge (WR & RB versions). One thing I noticed with the WR version is that you DO have control of the returner on Punt returns so that is a nice touch for this rom. It gives you the option to use your WR for punt returns which of course is usually another category that helps Heisman candidates. If it would be possible to get control on Kickoff returns and on the RB version that would be awesome too. All credit goes to xplosv and ruben for the two roms & hacks. All I did was transfer the playbook, do 2009 rosters, and give it the catchy name. bring it heisman challenge 2009 - RB.zip bring it heisman challenge 2009 - WR.zip
