  1. Haven't posted in reference to the rom yet. I've spent most of my time doing roster/beta testing/making carson palmer black. Even with some sloppy updates I have played this rom a lot. First thing: I've only played brudogs slot based d on high speed roms that buck was testing out last year. They were a lot of fun vs. man, but too powerful for the com. This is probably because Brudog's slot based d's weren't meant to be played in highspeed. The original tsb and highspeed tsb have different player physics. The slot based d's that buck came up with are tight based on the physics of high speed. Even if it looks like the runs have good coverage, the rules of original TSB don't apply. A covered receiver isn't necessarily covered with the speed and no slide coverage hacks that this game has. In man coverage the defender takes extra time to start covering. If your qb is any good your receiver can usually get a step ahead of the d-back and you can make the catch most of the time against com defense. That's even if the receiver is "covered". The trick to playing high speed is faster decision making. This moves the original 7 seconds from hike to pass to closer to 4 seconds or less from hike to pass. The completion window is at a different time. In drop coverages you lose the quick open man window. In this case you usually need to use your quarterback's legs to "look off" defenders and check down. After getting the feel for the faster window, you can really feel the difference between run and pass defenses. This also makes the game play more like real 2011 nfl. Second thing: pimpkie. Cool to see an international player here on the forum! Buck and I are also working on a "minor league" rom that is a lot like the semi-pro rom that is on buck's signature. I made a team called the Marseilles Mimes. Bertrand Plastique is their running back, and he is awesome. I don't know if you are from the Marseilles area or listen to Plastic Bertrand, but I hope you are around when it is released. Third thing: It is awesome to be associated with this rom. Buck blew my mind with the wildcat...but receivers mirroring the quarterback?! That stuff is crazy. Hope to see more play innovations in the future. Fourth thing: Thanks to everyone for playing/posting the rom, and when the hell is the TBO league coming back?
  2. I'm no lawyer, but I'm not sure Jerry Jones can sell his soul to himself.
  3. I've played with the falcons probably less than 20 times in my life. I'm a big hater of prime time and the me first mentality that he brought to the league. When he moved to dallas I became a cowboys hater. I have cousins from dallas, and TO showed up, which added fuel to my hater fire. My favorite team is still whoever's playing the cowboys. 4. First post. Hope you enjoy the rom. I'll take credit for the "steamers". Probably should have checked the urban dictionary before I named the team. Other than that...family fun for everybody. I might give a little more info on the inspiration behind the teams once buck rolls out the details for how the attributes were created. Did an awful lot of beta testing, and this rom is great man v. man...(good luck against Houston). I think team samurai pushed the limits of stats and graphics...at least until Semi-Pro 2.
