yeah, the date sucks if your an out of towner.. but its kind of our kick- off to super bowl weekend here.. a fun way to start off the festivities .. a tecmo bowl tournament & super bowl on the same weekend.. what could be better? .. oh, i know, the browns actually being in a super bowl!

Just wanted to put a bug in everyone's ear regarding my TSB tournament to be held on sat. feb. 5th, 2011 I am planning on freeing up between 5 to 8 spots to the knobbe.org community.. this is a 28 man tournament in which two 14 man groups will draft teams based on the number on a ping pong ball, to determine your draft order.. you will choose one team to use for the entire tournament.. it is double elimination, and no-holds bar, anything goes (including lurching) in cleveland we say: screw the rules! an official announcement with more details will be posted this fall.. just wanted to guage the amount of interest there would be of coming to cleveland in the dead of winter!

stay in new port KY... you'll have a lot more fun if your staying for more than just the one day.(down town cinci blows) plus i would imagine the hotel situation being better there.. maybe a little longer commute to the tournament, but not too bad

i like sandiego.. love the defense, love tollivers not always accurate , but rocket arm.. marion butts is the man close second is houston for obvious reasons

the oriole cafe in berea oh, and also mr. divots bar and grille in north royalton oh has been very kind to myself and friends in regards to letting us set up a system on one of the bars flat screens and play an evening of tecmo - they do not have a nes lying in wait however, but cool just the same

again, going back to the chargers: def end, lee williams always seems to make big plays for me.. on offense how about anthony miller, he is a stud when in good or better cond.. this team is full of play makers, even the back up wr's are decent

how about having a two minute drill competition? best of seven or some shit.. each contender gets to take a team of his or her choice and try and score in under two minutes on the best defenses like pit or chi.. of course this would happen after auto skipping through week 17 and doing it in playoff conditions - just a thought to tweak with

tecmo is alive and well in cleveland.. hoping to represent in some upcoming tournaments soon

hey , any one out there have any info on when the tournament in ohio is gonna be this year?? i just had to do that for you Krebs! (at least i put it in the right forum this time!) on a more serious note; i am hosting a cleveland tournament in february 2011.. day before superbowl- i may have some spots open for this.. and will advise the board at the appropriate time

bailey is a great back up running back for chicago, he could start on most teams. Tolliver can sling it just as good as marino, but with less accuracy... good thing is that he has a running game and other nice weapons around him chargers are my fav team

i am waiting to see a post about the ohio tournament that i hope happens this year.. i cant wait to get out there and meet and compete with everyone.. tecmo in cleveland ohio is alive and well.

any one out there study the frequency of the cheerleader beaver shot you get at the half time show? (come on you all know what i am talking about) lol me and a buddy kept track for like 14 games.. on average we got it about every other game.. although there were some back to back games with it. we wondered if anything affected this humorous event.. the score at the half maybe? any one ?

Just curious .. Any one know of discs out there that might play on the DC with UPDATED rosters / teams for TSB? OR anything similar.. instead of playing it on a PC Not really good with the whole computer thing, and the Roms and all that shit.. no time for it. I like putting in the NESTER and pressing the power button , ya know

I just recently discovered that players conditions can change during Pre-season play.. which really changes the dynamics of Tournament Play man vs man.... For the longest time I thought this only petained to Season mode games wow

Here is a topic that should bring out some discussion.. We know they are out there.. they are the No- names, they probably dominated in high school and college.. but in Tecmo they are just a blip on the screen , flying under the radar.... that is until a guy like Bryan Smith on the Rams returns a fumble for Td, or Freddie Joe Nunn sacks Joe Montana in the endzone for a safety... Or Herman Fontenot comes in to replace an injured Kieth Woodside during my Packers season - and goes off with a 150 yard rushing game.. I'm sure You guys can think of more examples of what makes the Obscure names in Tecmo the reason why this thing is so fun to play 20 Years later.......... sincerely, TIM GOAD lol

It is way tougher converting on side kicks against another opponent, compared to the COM.. I dont know how many times I have accidently kicked an on side against live competition, while trying to get a full power kick.. and I never recover the accidental on-side

Any one out there involved in that Fairfield Tournament last year? And do you have any early info on if will take place againg this Spring? I was bummed that I missed it last year and really want to par take this time

Tecmo is making a comeback here in Cleveland.. I got a group similar to Yours.. Most of us have families and kids as well. I have had annual tournaments within our group for the past five years now. IT is the BEST You should get some of Your Detroit boys together, and I will get a Cleveland Squad.. and we could have some kind of tournament or Best of seven Match , and have it at a bar in Toledo or something , so its a even trip for both squads what you think?

This is pretty similar to what we got going on in the Cleveland area. We just had our 5th annual Tournament last Saturday.. In our tourneys, we have a draft for teams by pulling a number to decide order. Then, this is the team You stick with throughout the Tournament. The Bears defeated the Chiefs in the Championship game I had a nice little run with Miami, going 3-2 with them.. but ran into a player who is very good with Tampa.... and he knocked me out in the losers bracket....
