  1. When you get in the playoffs, (if you can) - please post a YouTube video of your entire matchup. I want to see how you play against the cpu with my own eyes. Not that I doubt your skills or anything, ... just want to see a master at work.
  2. I hope you're referring to the "Vanilla" rom ... only run with the RB on Loaded?!!! You must have some sort of Invincibility cheat code ... That's insane!
  3. The "Loaded" rom is not designed for you to break tackles ... but designed to break your figures ... haha! Your best bet would be to dive at the ball carrier, that is ... if you even get a chance to get to him without being blocked by a lineman. And make sure you don't miss your dive attempt, because if you do ... the runner will be long gone for a TD! If you can win the SB on Buck's rom without ever resetting any games, then you have made it to the Big Time!
  4. I have been playing this rom non-stop! I won the SB with the Saints going 13-3 in the regular season and defeating the Colts in the SB 37-28. Then I won with the Colts (14-2 in the regular season) and barely defeating the Vikings 38-35! (Harvin returned 3 kickoffs for TD's in that game and Peterson broke a few runs on me!). Then I played with the Ravens, went 16-0 in the regular season but got knocked out in the 2nd round of the playoffs. Then tried playing with the Vikings and went 15-1 with them, but got destroyed in the SB by Denver 35-7! It seems that the better your record is in the regular season, the harder it is in the playoffs. Opponents become so juiced that RB's and Kick returners can burn you on any single play. In my Vikings SB run, all my main starters seemed to be in either bad or average condition in the SB. My guys also kept fumbling the ball ... nothin I could do. We'll, I guess going 2-4 on this rom ain't that bad. My friend Hypo is currently like 1-6 on this rom! He kept getting knocked out in the playoffs using the Colts, Saints, Ravens, Niners (twice). The only team he has won the SB with was the Steelers. He went undefeated in the regular season (16-0) and nearly lost to the Saints in the SB! Get this: He had a 28-10 lead going into the 4 Qtr. Then the Saints CPU started goin crazy on him. They would score, then get the ball back on an onside kick, score again then do another onside kick. I think his lead was cut to 28-24. Saints did another onside kick and got the ball back with under a minute to go. Pierre Thomas broke through the line and was running to daylight when Hypo (using Darren Sharper) just barely caught him from behind as time expired to hold on and win the game. Crazy man! You're rom really tested his mettle ... so much to the point where he just had to put it down and turn to something else since he was getting PO'd ... (He's playing Super Mario Bros Wii now) ... haha! Great job on the Rom!
  5. How did the Titans get to the Super Bowl? They s**k this year! They are 0-6 so far and just got spanked by the Patsies 59-0! (a Tecmo score if you ask me... ).
  6. Drummer, Congrats to your Brownies for sqeaking out their first win of the season! Not sure how they won the game though with Derek Anderson completing only 2 passes for 23 yards. WR Massaquoi killed me in my fantasy league! Looking forward to you next update.
  7. Finally won the Super Bowl on vXXX with Da Bears. Ended the season at 12-4 (tied with the Vikings) but won the NFC North Division securing the 1st round bye. Giants almost gave me a scare in the Divisional Round. I hung on to beat them 21-14. Then faced the Seahawks in the NFC Championship game (not sure how they made that far though ). Defeated the Seahawks 28-7 to advance to the Super Bowl, then faced the Baltimore Ravens (who defeated the Steelers). Defeated the Ravens in the SB 28-7 as well. Almost got a shut-out against them, but Ray Rice managed to break one on me in the 4th QTR ! Anyways, love the rom. I'm going to try vZZ version next.
  8. Thanks for the updated rom. Still playing vXXX though. Made it into the playoffs at 12-4 with 09 CHI. I'm going to see if I can win the Super Bowl tonight. Wow, the HP Hack does make a significant difference in the game play as players are fumbling left and right. The defenses intercept the ball more easily too. What a week of NFL games! Pats down the Ravens, Denver remains undefeated with Orton, Niners shutout the hapless Rams with their stiffling defense and Saints crush the Jets. Darren Sharper is having a "Rob Woodson" type of year. Already has 5 INT's with two returned for TD's! Crazy! I wonder who I should start in my Fantasy league today: QB Rogers or Farve? Hmmm??
  9. Yeah, Orton s**ks! That's why da Bears got rid of him ...
  10. This rom is definitely harder than Suprmnxxx's 2K10 rom. Every single game is a challenge ... no easy ones, it's as if you're playing in the Super Bowl every game. The HP Hack does make things more interesting and challenging. Started a season with the 09 Bears. So far, I'm 7-1 but each victory, I literally had to fight for it. Wow is all I got to say. I like the juice. Great job so far Buck!
  11. Hey Drummer, Glad to hear that your surgery came out fine. Lucky that the tumors weren't cancerous! Looking forward to your updated rom.
  12. damn right I would prefer to leave Urlacher in too...heh heh
  13. Buck, I understand now why you made the changes the way they are with the Bear's roster now that I have went in to take a look at things. You are basically giving their offensive formation a single RB and 3 WR's and making Desmond Clark and Greg Olsen the bookends on the OL (basically a 2TE formation). I was looking at the Players Data screen where they listed CLARK, WOLFE, OLSEN, and KNOX with their wrong positions ... but I guess there is nothing you can do about that since it's a player formation issue. I guess the only changes I would make would be on the defensive side then. Urlacher out, Hillenmeyer in. Payne out, Afalava in. Marcus Harrison out, Anthony Adams in. Later.
  14. Hi Buck, Thx for posting the updated rom. I'm anxious to get started on a new season. Right off the bat though, I noticed some flaws with the 2009 Bear's roster: 1) Desmond Clark - should be a TE (not WR) 2) Johnny Know - should be a WR (not RB) 3) Greg Olsen - should be a TE (not WR) 4) Garrett Wolfe - should be a RB (not WR) Defensively, Urlacher is out for the season (although some may want to leave him in). Hunter Hillenmeyer essentially takes his spot. The NT should be #95 Anthony Adams (Black) so you should probably take out Marcus Harrison. I know the scheme is 3-4 so maybe organize it this way: RE Alex Brown; NT Anthony Adams; LE Adewale Ogunleye; ROLB Briggs; RILB Hillenmeyer; LILB Tommy Harris; LOLB Pisa Tinoisamoa Also, the SS should be #24 Al Afalava (replaces Kevin Payne as the starter) Anyway, I could make these changes myself, but thought I should let you know if your striving for accuracy. Thx!
  15. Try playing my saved game from Time Machine 1, 99STL vs 85CHI and see if you can win the "grapple tapple battle" against Richard Dent. I can hear Richard Dent singing now: "The sackman's comin', I'm your man Dent. if the quarterback's slow, He's gonna get bent." ... haha!
  16. Hey suprmnxxx, I forgot to mention a glitch with your rom. Actually, HYPO was the one that brought it up. On punt returns, when the opposing team is kicking you the ball and you get tackled by a defender before the ball reaches you, the ball gets fumbled and the game just hangs in limbo. It happened to HYPO twice during the regular season and he had to restart the game. I did not run into this problem when I was playing my season, but HYPO did and wanted me to report it to you.
  17. Nice! I haven't tried your rom yet but am anxious to play it. I won't start a new season until your latest update is posted. Thx!
  18. If you play on a PC, use the "FCE Ultra" NES Emulator. Buck got it to work. The SAV file should go in a SAV folder.
  19. Okay, that's it for today ... tired ... need to go to sleep!
  20. Looking back at my season's stats for this Saved file, I just remembered that I was undefeated with the 99 Rams before losing in the SB, which is why the '85 Bears were probably so JUICED in the SB! Warner only threw 1 pick the entire season. More pics:
  21. I FINALLY BEAT THIS DANG SUPER BOWL after what must be 20+ times! Defeated my beloved '85 Bears with Kurt Warner's 99 St. Louis Rams 24-14! In the game, Bear's DEF knocked out Robert Holcolme on a punt return. I plugged in Isaac Bruce and returned a Kickoff for a TD! Then later in the game, they knocked out Bruce! Finally, had to plug in Faulk as the kick returner. I remember at one point, I led 14-7 with just under a minute to go before the half. I had the ball deep in my own territory. I dropped back to pass but got blitzed and fumbled the ball. Dan Hampton returns the fumble for a TD to tie the game at 14-14. I got PO'd!! Wow, what a game! I held them in check in the 2nd half and got a field goal in the 3rd and a TD by Hakim to seal the deal. Wasn't easy, as DENT and Hampton kept coming in fast! Here's a screenshot of my grid:
  22. Dang! You sure proved Hypes wrong...haha! He doesn't have a computer and online accesibility so I called him to tell him you posted a pic of the grid. He's in disbelief and denial right now ... haha! He wanted me to say to you: CONGRATS ... YOU ARE A REAL TECMO SUPER CHAMPION and that HE'S SORRY FOR DOUBTING YOU! He wishes that he'll one day have the priviledge of meeting you some of the players on this board for some mano y mano action.
  23. Wow! Great job! If there's anyone that knows how to beat certain this game, it would be the guy who designed the rom and playbooks. Actually the playbook that you were using were probably the pre-set plays that I had picked towards the start of the season and not the Official Ram's playbook plays that you had preset with the team when you made the rom. Just curious about your game set-up at home. Since you were able to capture a snapshot of the scoreboard, it must mean that you were playing this game on your PC using a NES emulator. Otherwise, how else could you capture those snapshots of the scoreboard so quickly since it disappears after you save the game. What kind of controller do you use when you play on the PC? Do you use a special 8-bit nes controller with a special hookup to the USB port? Another question: if you had played on a handheld (like I do) and won the Super Bowl and then saved your game (after the credits rolled and everything), would you then still be able to capture a snapshot of the scoreboard if you transferred the SAV file to your PC -- since it most likely would have disappeared after you hit the "B" button to advance into the credits?
  24. Hey Buck, Glad to hear you were able to load this Super Bowl game and try it out. Now you know why my friend HYPO was blowing smoke up his arse (as he was able to defeat the '85 Bears 56-49). Hey, you have any idea how I can post screen shots of my saved games to these threads. I see other members posting screen shots of their games, but am not sure how they go about doing it. For example, say I win the Super Bowl and wanted to post a snapshot of the Playoff Grid showing all the scores of each game, how would I go about doing that? Do I need to get special permission from RodW to be able to do this kind of stuff? What computer NES emulator could I use to load my NES SAV Files (like the one I sent you) so that I can pause game screens and capture snapshots for posting. I tried using Nesticle on my computer to load my NES Sav File for this Rom but couldn't get it to load my saved game. I'm sure there's a way to do it. Any help or instructions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thx!
  25. BTW, how much longer the wait before Time Machine 2 is released?
