  1. I found this while trying to find the RGB values for the NES palette. It has some good info that may pertainNESDoc.pdf
  2. I had forgotten all about this. So all I need to do is find the correct place to insert FA 1B for each of the credit screens?
  3. Does anyone know how the game applies the palette of the winning team to this screen? I'd like to apply the palette of the winning team to all of the scenes in the credits which are in color to make the credits seem more like a year in review for the winning team or something.
  4. I've got one, I made it a while back when working on an NCAA rom. TeamNames.xls
  5. Well, all I really did was put Hernandez in the RB2 slot as a way to get both guys on the field at the same time. I know Hernandez got a few caries last year and that the Pats put him in the backfield sometimes to create matchup problems in the passing game. I'm working on some plays out of that 2TE formation that already exists, but I don't know how long that will take.
  6. Thanks man, let me know what you think of the way I did the Patriots 2 TE offense. There are a few other teams that do some 2 TE stuff that I'm thinking of including.
  7. Just posted Test 6. This update should fix the problems with the player attributes on the team data screens. Included in this update are modified player ratings, updated playbooks, and updated pro bowl rosters. To keep things simple, Test 6 is posted in my original post.
  8. Its been a while since I've done this, but here is my TSB 2013. I wanted to have this up here before the games started this week, but I've been busy. My ROM includes updated rosters and ratings for this year, my NFL Shield, updated mini helmets, updated large helmets, and KR/PR using their own MS. Some of the large helmet logos are improvements over the 2007 ROM, some are worse, but they are all mine. I tried to include suspended/injured players who will be back at some point this season so that each team could be at "full strength." It's not completely finished, but I wanted to get it up and get some feedback. Let me know what improvments I can make. TSB 2013 Test 6.nes
  9. Except Marcus wasn't on roids like either of those two, Manderich actually went on to have a decent career in Indianapolis, and Bosworth was a good player who lost his career to injury. Marcus left Oklahoma to go to Southern Missippi and ultimately to the USFL. He signed a 5 million dollar (about 10 million today) contract and blew out his knee all before he turned 21. His only real fault seemed to be that he was injury prone becuase he wasnt the worlds hardest worker, after all he was out of shape and overweight when he set the Fiesta Bowl rushing record. He was only 26 when he finally made it to the NFL. It is hard to say how good he would have been if he had never been hurt... Maybe give him 80% Okoye or 90% Hershcel Walker???
  10. Just finished watching that 30 for 30 on ESPN again about Marcus DuPree. I was just thinking, had he been healthy at the beginning of the 1990 season he would have been on the LA Rams on the original TSB. To add another verse to the song about him being the best that never was, how highly do people think he would have been rated on TSB? Afterall, in HIGH SCHOOL, he ran the 100m in 9.5 seconds and could rep 400 lbs on the bench around 10 times! Thats what they said on the show anyway. Also, Barry Switzer, his coach at Oklahoma, who also coached Emmit, Michael, Deion, and Charles Haley on the 94 Cowboys, said Marcus was the best athlete he ever coached. Of course by the time he got to the Rams he had had a big time knee surgery, and he was cut by Chuck Knox in 1992 because he couldn't catch the ball out of the backfield. Still, for the guy to just get off the couch, and walk onto an NFL squad after dropping 100 lbs in three months, and getting back to running a 4.3 40, he had to have had some greatness left.
  11. Just use this spreadsheet I made. Type whatever year you want in the box and then make the necessary hex changes. 1991 Roster Tool.xls
  12. I have a spreadsheet I use that has tables of the team sim data from the original. The original only had 28 teams, so I felt it would be good to expand the values to 32 values. The average offensive sim value is 7 and the average defensive sim value is 8. I added four 7s to the offensive data and four 8s to the defensive data to give me tables of 32 values instead of 28 values. I used the average because I think adding more teams to the league just increases the number of average teams in the league. I use the rank function in excel to rank the sim values, i.e. 15 = 1, 14 = 2, etc. Then for the offense I rank each team's Pts/G, Yds/G, Yds/P, 1st/G, 3rd Pct, 4th Pct, Pen, Pen Yds, ToP/G, and TO stats from NFL.com, average those ranks, rank the averages, and then use a vlookup to compare that rank to the table with the offensive sim values from the original. For example, in 2009 the Colts were 7th, 9th, 3rd, 4th, 1st, 19th, 2nd, 2nd, 31st, 13th in the categories listed above, this averages to 9.1, which ranks 5th among teams that year. The 5th ranked offensive sim value is 11, so for offense the sheet gives the Colts an 11. For defense I do the sam thing with Pts/G, Scrm Plys, Yds/G, Yds/P, 1st/G, 3rd Pct, 4th Pct, Pen Yds, ToP/G, Sck, SFTY, Int, Fum Rec, and Def TD. For example, in 2009 the Jaguars were 24th, 12th, 23rd, 26th, 19th, 30th, 31st, 1st, 14th, 32nd, 11th, 16th, 16th, and 29th in the categories listed above, this averages to 20.3, which ranks 26th among teams in that year. The 25th ranked defensive sim value is 4, the 29th ranked sim value is 3, so for defense the sheet gives the Jaguars a 4. I have it set up for an easy copy and paste so I can quickly update the sim values whenever I want. If anyone wants the sheet its attached below, just copy the stats from NFL.com, format them a little to fit the sheet, paste into the orange cells, and enjoy. I have some cells protected so I don't paste where I shouldn't or make other mistakes, the password is tecmo, feel free to change whatever you like. Team Sim Calculator.xls
  13. If your minis look correct on the Team Select and Team Data screens, but not on the NFL Standings, Team Rankings, and playoff bracket screens, then I think that's what your stuck with, I suggest redrawing the tiles/recoding the pallets for the minis so that they show up correctly on the NFL Standings, Team Rankings, and playoff bracket screens, you can then work with the information at x425A that affects Team Select and Team Data Screens until the minis look correct everywhere.
  14. I had to wade through all that while doing the mini helmets for the NCAA ROM I'm working on. The NFL Standings, Team Rankings and playoff bracket show the pallets for the mini helmets as they really are, but the Team Select screens and Team Data screens in both regular and preseason, use the grid of 8x8 tiles idea as explained here: http://tecmobowl.org/forum//viewtopic.php?f=22&t=11310&p=89027&hilit=tile+grid#p89027 I didn't exactly figure all that out I just coded my pallets to look correct on the NFL Standings, Team Rankings, and playoff bracket screens and then for the Team Select screens and Team Data screens in both regular and preseason I actually followed a suggestion you gave here http://tecmobowl.org/forum//viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12469&p=98701&hilit=mini+helmet+pallet#p98701 It seems like doing this changes the pallets for the entire 8x8 tile. There is a pattern to it and after messing with it for a while it becomes easy.
