Running the ball does tend to be a grind in juiced roms. Calling short pass plays to the TE or RB and sneaking with the QB are the best options, in my experience. Editing the playbook should also help. Not sure, but I think with max juice the levels are the same regardless of whether you lose during the season or not. I tend to play preseason games with the late season coverage hack and max juice and the difficulty feels the same to me as regular season and playoff games.

EDIT: Big thanks to the creator of the KGB editor, and to MvG Sports for his post explaining how to hack the attributes. Some players appear on multiple teams, but that was inevitable. I left four of the '93 teams from the original game (PHI, SF, CHW & TOR), as they were arguably the best team from each franchise during those years. Batting stances and batter appearances are fairly accurate. Pitchers appearances not so much. Player attributes are fairly similar to the original game: 40+ HR = 10 Power. .300+ AVG/185+200 hits = 10 Batting.
