Laguardia (LAG) is literally a stone's throw away - only thing is that LAG doens't offer as many flight as Kennedy (JFK) - JFK is only 10 minutes from Laguardia so both are fine to fly into & a $20 cab ride to Queens after. THere are cheap flights in/out of Westchester (HPN) on JetBlue but you would have to rent a car & drive 35-60 minutes depending on traffic after - probably don't check there unless JEt Blue doesn't go to JFK from where you live & have free flight from them that have to use.. You should look at staying here: Lexington & Gates area in Bed Stuy, Brooklyn you will probably like the most - not too far from where tourney is & get a good deal. or: Bushwick, East New York (New Lots Ave) ALso if wanna stay in Jersey I think you'll have a good time in Camden, NJ You'll do good at any of those areas. I've been checking every couple of days for this rom, can't get here soon enough now that the lockout is over & Patriots have Haynesworth & Chad Johnson on their roster! PLEase shoot me an email when rom is done or need someone to test it out- I'm in 3 WTF leagues - and have played your roms before vs other ppl that are in leagues w/ me, has great feedback so thanks for putting together for me/us! Also there's some local guys here in CT that i jsut met that live in my neighborhood that play the original rom all the time via cartridge NES COnsole. I introduced them to Nestopia & showed them how to dl hacked roms which they think is the coolest thing ever BUT they have no intention of playing online & want to get a bunch of roms put on cartridges so can play on their NES vs each other- I think this would be a perfect candidate to do so so I'll keep you updated if make it into cartridge & if you are going to do a custom rom label? how do I go about having a custom rom put on an 8 bit nes cartridge? Friend of mine who isnt interested in playing online wants to have a bunch of different roms made for his Nintendo, 32 team current, all time greats, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2006 and a few more that I showed him avail on forums. QB BRowns wins in proabably a much closer race then most ppl would think from the start. His 75PC along w/ the 25ms for the seasoned vet can make any game close or winnable vs the top tier teams bc QB Browns MS matchedw/ PC are a 1-2 combo played right are unstoppable! If Kosar's PS was a little bit quicker this guy would be totally unstoppable. Take into consideration that Bernie found a home on a team pretty much up until a season or two ago it feels like unfort for a few of us older guys.. even though it was back over 10 years ago and that goes into how nostalgic he was simply bc anyone from the orig. rom that was/is (punters & kickers) still out there sends a chill down my spine and the conversation switched up to tecmo every single time watching a game w/ a tecmo player still in it in real life! Really thinking about that it was over 10 years ago that he was wearing a Miami then COwboys uni is crazy!! I guess time flies by in the NFL, next thing you know Morton Anderson won't be kicking anymore! Lippett can hang close in this race bc w/out him the Pats wouldn't have been fun to play w/ on D. He was always good for a snatch here and there and bc he was a Pat it made winning a game or even intcepting the opposition that much more fun bc they sucked so bad! Both of these players have really shined in Leagues recently as QB Bernie w/ a player like Rison, Rice, any of the Oilers top 3, Reed, S Sharpe, 69rec +, etc.. as his WR is an automatic JJ catch. RL (Lippett) is a great guy for leagues like WTF where he can get a Progression Gain to boost up his MS from 56 to 63 and int to 69. He's a super stud at that point, not to mention when goes into good then excellent w/ 69MS and 75INT! If this were a vote based on whoever gets more out of 10 I would give Bernie an 9.0 and RL a 7.25

Classic #1 vs #16 seed - Bo is on his own planet w/ QB Randy, and Jerry Rice having vacation homes there too - nobody else is invited to the Tecmo Planet strictly bc Bo became a household name to more than jsut avid sports fans but he crossed the border to oother ppl that normally wouldn't have paid as much attention strictly bc he was/is such a man beast on the original rom. BO and Randy were known by my teachers in highschool that never watched a football game in the ir life bc we would talk about them and argue who was the best every day in class!

Randy is Tecmo! Vai has a unique name and always liek to too him in the lineup as well as do KR/PR duties when using the Cards, but Randy and Bo Jackson have been household names since the early 90's for thousands of ppl that never paid any attention to real life football but got turned onto it and know about strictly bc of Tecmo! Race is closer than wou;d've though bc of Randy's inability to have photo and his name avail on the original rom but gave his name for use in the SNES version... Kind of a slap in the face!

I feel that this is the closest 8-9 matchup of all four. Meggett is safe to say has been used more over the years by every tecmo player than Browner, not to say today on TPC that MEggett isn't used as much bc ppl tend to stay away from the Giants for games bc they are one of the top 3 teams and doesn't make for a solidgame vs other players.. Browner on the other hand is used a lot nowadays bc the Vikings offense isn't as powerful as 90% of their oppositions in TPC games. Yeah Carter, Hasaan Jones, and Jordan are a solid WR/TE attack and Hersh. Walker is a good 44ms back, but w/ Walsh as the QB they aren't a powerhouse.. Browner makes up for that w/ his nice MS and high int ability. My vote goes to Browner bc a stud DB is more powerful than a 56MS RB. VERY CLOSE MATCHUP THOUGH!

Thurman Thomas - if D Green's int was higher would make for a closer race but Thurman's 63MS and solid BC and Recieving abilities make this one a landslide victory for Thomas (in my opinion)

Everydody's All American w/ Tom Goodman and Dennis Quaid was "The Ghalloping Ghost" they played for LSU I'm pretty sure before the "GHOST" went on to play for Broncos in the pros. Also have Fast Times at Ridgemont High - That LB was a bad Mofo after Spicolli trashed his car and blamed it on the opposing team!

I posted this a few months ago but a number of ppl recently have been asking me how to get it to work on their new computer since all new computers run Vista as their Operating System. From July 2007 A lot of these steps are VERY self explanatory, but I wanted to make sure that everyone could understand it, newbs the same as seasoned vets in 8 leagues. To start close everything down, aim, internet, gay porn sites, etc.. now go to your "start" (it looks like a flag w/ windows logo on it located at bottom left of your screen on the toolbar) click on control panel (it's 5" to your right and 2" up) next find and click on "device manager" while in control panel once you click on device manager - 3 lines (programs) down should be "display adapters" and a "+" next to it left click on that "+" one time after clicking on the "+" now below display adapters should now be your graphics program. "Nvidia Geforce" is mine.. Whatever yours is right click on it.. AFter you right click on it click on "DISABLE" Now you can close out the control panel and get back to your desktop. You now HAVE to restart the computer. The screen will look different now since you clicked on "disable" before you restart the computer, but you always have to restart. The same goes for when you want to enable it when not playing tecmo. You will have to do those same steps to "enable" Once you have restarted you are all set.. Try running nesticle, it should work. To host go back to control panel and find firewall (looks like a brick wall), turn it off. After done playing make sure to turn it back on before going online ONE TIP IS: Sometimes when you start nesticle "the screen w/ the bloody hand" The screen will be all different colors and-or distorted. DONT WORRY, go to "settings" and click on "resolution" w the bloody hand icon (settings and resolution are next to where you configure your controller) in the top right of the screen and click on the next resolution size down from the one you are on. It will fix the problem and won't change the resolution With any luck Windows will come out w a program that allows us to run nesticle without disabling our graphics programs in the near future.. In the mean time this does the trick

(As well as Bigmv's "2008 Northeast Tecmo Champion" neon sign that he won in CT at the last tourney) Anyone that is interested in going to the tourney from Mass, CT, and New York (on the way to Ohio, nothing more than 45 min out of the way. NYC, any burrough is fine as can meet somewhere easy for both of us) LMK and setup a ride to and from there.
