  1. That fixed it! Thanks so much! While I was aware of that discussion, I neglected to read it all the way through. Totes my bad. But thanks again! Now I've got it all straightened out. Appreciate y'all!
  2. Working with the original 28-team TSB rom and TSB Tool Supreme to convert several teams from 2RB-2WR-1TE to 1RB-3WR-1TE and 1RB-4WR iin order to better reflect their style of play at that time period. Take the Buffalo Bills for example... I want Davis at RB2 in order to make sure he gets carries if Thomas gets injured, but how can I have him on the bench with the other RBs? I also want WR3 Beebe starting at that slot wideout position as the default, and if he gets injured the computer to sub another WR there, not another RB. NOT THIS: YES THIS: I know I can just re-position Beebe as RB2 and it'll work fine, but I don't want to make him an RB. Is there an easy way to keep RB2 as the first RB on the bench, and force the WR3 to be placed as a starting slot receiver? I'm not wanting receivers to show up as running backs and vice-versa. Having used the forum search, I know this is do-able through hex edit, but I am hopeless at that. Usually end up screwing up the rom. I'm hoping there's a way to do this using a TSB tool. My apologies if this has already been answered numerous times. I tried to search the threads but couldn't find the answer. Thanks in advance!
  3. Via an emulator, and I suspected as much. But I'd like to learn a bit more about memory editing. Is there a link or some documentation you could refer me to? I appreciate your time and assistance. Thanks!
  4. I've searched the archives without luck, so pardon me if this has already been asked/answered before, but I am curious if there's a way to SIM the rest of a Tecmo Super Bowl game once it's been started on MAN? There have been numerous times where I jump out to a rather insurmountable lead and would like to let the computer take over the rest of the way. Is such a thing even possible? If so, how? Thanks in advance.
  5. I just updated the Rangers using the KGB editor... but I didn't bother updating anyone else. I might gradually update the Rom as time permits. If I ever complete it, I'll make it available for download.
  6. I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this (if not, my apologies) but I was wondering if there's been any recent ROM edits for this game? Using the search function on this site I was able to track down one from 2007, but I just wanted to make sure that was the most recent. Thanks!
  7. I retyped it, and restarted... now it works! Thanks fellas!
  8. Yeah, it's got me stumped. I did everything as you described... the only difference is that, once I selected Nestopia (after clicking "Browse") when I cam back is wouldn't let me click "OK" leaving only the "Cancel" button. Oh well. It's annoying, but I appreciate y'all trying to help out.
  9. Drat. I was hoping I wouldn't have to mess with the registry. I crashed a computer in college chasing after a rogue program in regedit. I did what you said, but it still has "Notepad" as the default program. I don't know how or why Notepad is the default for a .nes file. Stupid brother-in-law. This is what it looks like: "C:\...\NES\nestopia.exe" "%1" does that %1 have any significance? Anyway, I appreciate you taking the time to help out a complete stranger. Thanks.
  10. I had it set-up originally, but I can't remember how I did it. My wife's "genius" brother (who works on the Geek Squad) supposedly "fixed" our computer today. Now, I've got to open Nestopia, then File>Open> to load the program. I've done the usual right-click "Open with..." and "set as default program" but it's not working. For one, Nestopia is not listed as a "recommended program" or even as an "other program" and when I "browse" to find the program manually, the option of "Always use selected program..." is not available. Granted, not a huge crisis, but just enough a pain in the arse to make me want to give my brother-in-law a good shake. Especially since I've had it the previous way for as long as I can remember. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  11. While we're waiting for our men of Science to catch-up with all of our various Tecmo desires, I've got a pretty decent (in my opinion) workaround to running the Option. I use the "T Fake Sweep" as run play 1, then the "Pro T Dive" as run play 4, and the "T Play-Action Dive" as pass play 1. Of course, since the hand-offs are hardwired into both running plays, it's not a true option but, to the defense, it looks and even kinda feels like one. Then, with the pass play, you can keep it with the QB or pass it downfield. I was mildly obsessed with the Option in high school (back in the 90s) and I used to run an attack like this with the Eagles and 49ers. Used to piss off my cousin something fierce 'cause he never knew where the ball was going. Good times.
  12. I've searched the forums but have been unable to find an editor for the "prequel" Tecmo Bowl game. Is this something someone has already done or is it virgin territory. I know the game is greatly inferior to TSB but it's something I'd like to mess around with on a slow weekend.
