  1. Had a good time despite a poor showing! Will try to make it out again next year. As well, someone hit me up if there are ever any RBI Baseball oriented tournaments in the area!
  2. So I just got home from competing (not well) in the Southington, CT TSB Tournament and was inspired to figure out what my TPC name was from a few years back. Turns out that it was actually 2008, that I had a record of 2-20 and you were declared my 'rival' on my page (I believe I bested you once out of 10 or so tries). So just saying hello and glad to see you still around the forums!

  3. Kind of related question. I've been doing a season and I noticed something was wrong after last game so I checked it out. All stat screens show my QB having 63 passing TDs (even though it was the same number for the previous game). Thought that seemed wrong, so I added up all my teams receiving TDs and it equals out to 70. I figured there would inevitably be stat maxes because it's an NES game, but 63 seems like a weird number to stop at. Is it a glitch or is this an ingrained thing in the game? I really brought this into question because I noticed my passer rating going down, even though I was mostly throwing above 95% accuracy every game.
  4. So I know i'm not the only one and I know Midwest Tecmo, Northeast Tecmo and Madison Tecmo all stream their tournaments (which are awesome to watch!), but i'm throwing my hat in the ring, too, because... why not? I'm doing it, I might as well briefly advertise that I do. For a while I was doing Let's Plays on Youtube with newer roster edits of the original game (There's a thread for it buried somewhere), but editing is obnoxious and I grew tired of doing it. Plus I have a real 40 hour-a-week job, so I don't have the time. But I do have time to stream a few nights a week for an hour or two. So... long-winded and all, if you're interested in watching another person stream Tecmo Super Bowl, follow me on Twitch. If not, ignore my post. It will mostly be season-runs, as every instance i've had of playing in the TPC online arena has ended with me getting throttled. However, maybe a possibility down the road if the stars align. Anyways, link below. If enough people start showing up, i'll set up my microphone. Otherwise, i'm just playing various created music playlists in the background and talking in chat. Thanks for reading! https://www.twitch.tv/joncarrnage
  5. I know i'm not the only one. Genre/style doesn't matter. If you make music, post it and show us your horrors! I handle all vocal work in a fairly heavy Alternative/Hardcore Metal band from Connecticut called Metal on the Connecticut River. It's a play on a murder mystery cruise they used to have in our area in the late 80's/early 90's called 'Murder on the Connecticut River' that has been out of business for almost a couple decades. Our newest song is the best sounding thing we've recorded so far and I was really happy with the way it came out. Youtube Link Here
  6. We're back, baby! It's been almost 5 months and i'm sorry about that. I work a lot now, for a lot more, and it cut quite a bit into my free time so a lot of this was kind of pushed to the wayside. But for now we're going to continue on the journey to the Super Bowl with the Jaguars. I've opted to cut episodes down to 1 game so that I stop working against my weaknesses... like talking regularly for a 40 minute episode, which i've proved to be not-so-great at. Under 20? I can do that. So here we are, back again. The site looks different as well. Episode #12 [Game 5] | vs. Buccaneers VIDEO ON YOUTUBE
  7. Commentary seems to be getting better (still doing this solo, so take it with a grain of salt) as we forge into the next episode! Episode #11 [Games 3/4] vs. Patriots, Colts VIDEO ON YOUTUBE
  8. I've started a full season with the Jaguars and, while not ideal, they're not that bad. The QB speed is average (which helps to scramble when the O-Line inevitably breaks down immediately) and some of the receivers catch the ball (As well, Lee has pretty good speed). Well... at least so far lol.
  9. I don't usually play with those teams (in recent times), so I just went by who I remembered and remembered either playing well with or having a really annoying time against.
  10. Oh shit! That's cool to see them mentioned, as it's a rare sight. I still like spinning "Burning the Process" from time to time.
  11. Browns. Pros: Bernie Kosar, Ozzie Newsome, Eric Metcalf, Kevin Mack. Cardinals. Pros: Johnny Johnson, Ron Wolfley, Ricky Proehl. Vikings. Pros: Herschel Walker, Cris Carter, Chris Doleman. Seahawks. Pros: Chris Warren, Brian Blades, Cortez Kennedy. Oilers. Pros: Warren Moon, Lorenzo White, Ernest Givins, Haywood Jeffries, Drew Hill, Ray Childress.
  12. Here we go again! I'm trying to improve my commentary (still relatively new to this) and i've decided to take on the task of trying to lead Blake Bortles and crew to the top of the football world. For those uninterested, feel free to resume your regularly schedule tecmo bowlin' ways. Peace! Episode #10 [Games 1/2] vs. Panthers, Dolphins VIDEO ON YOUTUBE
  13. Alright, so this will probably be the last post I make in this thread, so I had a question. I'm going to do another one of these, but i'm going to use QBVikings 2016 ROM this time around. Out of the following teams, who do you think would be the most interesting to watch in this format? I'm at a crossroads between 4. I either want to do the Buccaneers, Jaguars, Raiders or Bills. If you're reading this and even if you're not going to watch, pick a team from those four. Thanks!
  14. More highlights! This time with the dreaded QB Eagles. Someone else should post something >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMXkLWmk00M
