  3. Is there a way to do this? Whether it's building logarithms or whatever they do for Madden and video games these days.. does anyone on the forum have the mental capacity to put together a program that would allow a person to do a full fantasy draft with the tecmo super bowl players and have different draft outcomes. You have to probably set it up in a way where you enter a separate program to draft the teams and then there will have a way to import them into an excel/hex editor/roster editor that have already been created. Guess I'm chuck and praying for Rison here. If anyone has the ambition or some knowledge they could pass along regarding this 'project' let me know. I don't care if it takes years or whatever.. this could be a tool anyone could use and would want to use and I'd be interested in helping build it in any way possible. Tough thing is.. I'm not all that computer savvy.. just tecmo/ratings/gm savvy.

  5. Fixed two spelling errors found by Sargon and uploaded the new version. Nothing else is changed.
  6. First, just like to say thanks for the kind words and recommendations. As a Minnesota native and Vikings fan, I'll be the first to admit that the Packers might be the most talented team in the NFC North. Rodgers is statistically a top 10 QB and the Packers have a top 10 offense. They're secondary is also one of the best in football, who I believe finished the league with the most interceptions. Saying that, the Packers on this rom have almost no talent in the front seven on Defense, have a bad special teams, and a modestly rated Grant. I'll admit the Vikings are only rated slightly better than the Packers, but the Packers appear better because they excel at what you want in Tecmo: Pass Interception/Good Secondary and solid, weapon oriented offense. When you look at the Vikings front 7, advantage in special teams, and AP's 69 MS, they are probably still the better team of the two. And my point all along was to make the Vikings, Packers, and Bears fairly close, because the reality is that any of those teams could have won that division. The sim data still has the Vikings win the conference the majority of the time. I don't plan on changing anything with the team's ratings, I feel that all the players are where they should be. I do think I pondered making Grant a 44 ms once, but couldn't. As far as injuries are concerned, I actually have another version of this rom that I am using for Fantasy Football with some people in my dorm hall that has the original opening day starters in, instead of the injury replacements. I'm not changing this one though, it's fun to see the league play out with Cassel and Fitzpatrick in, it makes the season realistic to what actually happened in 08, I'm leaving it. Default playing time probably isn't worth changing since you can do it yourself and it saves it for repeated games. Plus, I'm not sure how to do it. Someone would have to tell me the hex edit. Also, about the crashing.. I have no clue what to do about that. The base rom that I started with already had that problem, and it's a bug I have no clue how to fix. So I guess some emulators just won't be compatible. If you still want the changes made Sargon and can't do any of it yourself, PM me, and I'll send you a version just for you.

  8. So over the last month or two, I've put together a four team Tecmo league with other guys in my dorm hall. I put together an Excel Spreadsheet and we'd sim the games and tally down the stats week by week. This is the finishing spreadsheet. We are doing a 2008 season next. I was Buttswood Rison by the way, team collapsed on the last week after carrying almost a 40 point lead into the Super Fantasy Bowl. 1991 Tecmo Fantasy Football.zip
  9. I hear ya, the differences in defenses is pretty subtle with this rom. The way I see it, the NFL is pretty damn even across the board, and this rom displays that. I don't cripple any defense by giving them a 44 ms as their best player. As of right now, I'm not planning on changing much else, I did make some minor adjustments from the first upload to weight the defenses better, but it wasn't much.

  11. Yep, can't figure this thing out.. here's the rom if anyone wants to give it a glance and try for themselves. I'm getting frustrated here, wanted this out for the Super Bowl and the sim data is really tripping me up. I'm claiming a formation bug. I went into the original and made the Washington/San Diego/Phoenix TEs much better sim stat wise, and it didn't help them out very much stat wise, maybe 5 catches. As far as the formations I used, I've also tried Heath with 1-4 routes of all different kinds in the playbook to little avail. TSB 2009 StalkingButler's Version (TE stat problem).zip
  12. 1. Of course I have Heath Miller rated high in sim number than the three TEs on 1RB 3WR 1TE formations on the original. 2. Did that ahead of time. 3. This is where my error might of occurred. I used the sum of 32 technique, and my numbers are the same with Washington and Moore, but if the 32 technique doesn't directly correspond and is quite confusing to do, I'll try your way, and change them to multiples of 8 and get back. 4. I'm using the Supreme Tool and I have no idea what any of this material really means or why it is relevant. If you change the formations in the Tool, it seems to make them exactly like they are in the original. I don't think the mix up comes here. Lemme try the multiple of 8s and I'll post the results. If it doesn't work, I'm going to change sim values of the TE's/teams in 1RB, 3WR, 1TE formations on the original to prove that it's a bug then. haha
  13. Very nice Jeid. Like the conservative ratings as well, and a rom with no JJ is great, takes away most of the bombs and makes the passing more realistic. When it comes down to it, the NFL is almost even across the boards these days, it's cool to sim 10 seasons and have 5-8 different teams win, and that goes for playing teams as well. There really is no easy game in the NFL, but the 91 rom makes that be the case half the time. So being conservative with ratings is the way I'm going as well, but not this severe. Mine is just a little bit more even teams across the board with no 75 ms. One thing I thought was hilarious though was the white Champ Bailey, definitely little things like that need to be fixed.
  14. Regarding TE sim data, does a team's formation set have anything to do with it. I'm struggling to get Heath Miller receptions when I have PIT set to a 1RB, 3WR, 1TE offense, but when I change it to 2RB, 2WR, 1 TE, it seems to fix things with virtually the same sim rec numbers. It's frustrating, I guess Mewelde Moore will have to start over Nate Washington because of it. Also, the TEs for the Redskins and Chargers in the original barely see the ball either, that's the only 1RB, 3WR, 1TE formations in the original to go by. Anyone know a fix for this?
  15. I was already worried about not giving enough difference between team's ratings. I was already planning on fine tuning it. Jax and PIt were probably the best two examples you could bring up. I think I did a good job with offenses for the most part. About the Favre thing, with the QB Attribute Hack that is in this rom.. the 69 PC will be how accurate his throws are/or how errant his throws may be. His Accuracy of Passing rating is 25, and determines how often the ball would get int/rec on a covered receiver.
  16. Okay, I'm not keen on hex editing or this hack business.. but I do know that it kicks ass. However, nobody seems to have made a rom that agrees with me, whether its the depth charts/attributes/sim data/or gameplay. So I'm going to put one together. This rom is going to use the cxrom 32 team rom as a base and include the following hacks afterwards: -QB Attribute hack that makes PC determine how errant throws may be and PA determining rec/int ratio or chance. -the grappling hack that jstout worked on and buck seem to have perfected for the Time Machine rom.. this makes the CPU randomly have the ability to outgrapple you by being assigned a certain number of taps. -The Quickness is INT speed hack, and to go along with it the dedicated PR/KR hack In spirit of old fashion tecmo, I'm keeping the kicking and punting difficulty/distances the same. The following upload is the finished rom. This rom sometimes crashes with NESten but works on every other emulator I've tried. If you like my roster, go ahead and paste them into your roms, I spent the last two weeks working on the rosters, attributes, and sim stats. I'm proud of them. If you have problems with your favorite teams ratings or the ratings in general, please comment. I'll revise this as much as I have to in order to create the best possible Note: Pro Bowl rosters are now fixed.   17. I'm about to struggle through some sim stats myself, I've done it before though. What are the caps in each area, because I heard the defense has a coverage cap of 250 something somewhere and this rule of 32, I've never heard before. Are these important to follow? Also, is there a way to sim multiple seasons a quicker way, without waiting for the tecmo rom to do it (which takes somewhere between 5-10 minutes). Somebody make a program for that yet? That'd be tits.

  19. Yeah Cincy's Safety Nkicadkosdfm or whatever had like 17 picks and 27 sacks when I sim'd the league. Also Wilson had 23 sacks for ARZ. As far as the roster goes, I would change a lot of things. I looked closely at the teams I know and started taking notes but stopped soonly after I saw how off the Vikings were... People need to start taking the 81 ball control off of Adrian Peterson because he led all running backs in fumbles this year and has a big fumbling problem that he'll need to fix for his third season in the NFL. Also, Kevin Williams is a pro bowler and he is probably rated in the lower half of defensive linemen in this game. Also, if you are doing this without injuries you should sub E.J. Henderson (almost a 2007 pro bowl selection) for Napolean Harris. Also, K. Udeze was diagnosed with a form of acute leukemia and it's unsure if he'll play in the NFL ever again, so you should plug in Ray Edwards, the Vikings starting DE opposite of J. Allen. Instead of working through this one, I'll probably just wait to make my own after the NFL playoffs are over.
  20. I did one of these last year and I'm going to go play this one now. I'll be paying attention to the sim stats as well.. a rom with good rosters but bad sim stats is worthless to me, so hopefully you did those to. I'll check this one out. Also, I'll probably do my final roster update for this last season after the super bowl and post it on the board.. one with the coach mode yak is working on and one with the no-juiced 32 team rom.
