    War6 got a reaction from SBlueman in 2024 TSB 32-Team Base Rom with updated helmets (not complete)
    See attached. Changed 0x23BDF to 97 98 99 FF 01 & used a tile editor to change the colors on two tiles to complete the FM change to white. Waiting on Denver...I hope their color remains blue for the primary shell! Detroit will not be changing their shell color or primary logo; however, I imagine the center helmet stripe will be modified to coincide with the new uniform.

    I edited my version last week. I will get you the hex locations & changes for CLE’s mini within the next 24 hours or so unless someone beats me to it. Also, if the rumors are true, DEN is adopting a white helmet as primary. I sure hope not since a variation of blue has been their identity for a very long time.

    Browns will most likely change their facemask to white according to many sources.

    After viewing the 32 large helmets, I decided to refresh my catalogue of ROMs. I removed unnecessary shading, sun spots, & other reflective elements while updating a few logos/colors. This was my first attempt at NES large helmets. I normally edit SNES TSB assets & I've done something similar with the NES large helmets for standardization purposes...clean & crisp overall!

    Set all bytes to 00 in the following locations.
    0x5C180 thru 0x5C18F
    0x5C1E0 thru 0x5C1EF

    These are sprites and not background objects like the remainder of the helmet

    Even more info on this

    Player 1 takes 10 +30 = 40 frames to get up after slipping
    Player 2 takes 10 +30 = 50 frames to get up after slipping

    10 frames = ~0.166 seconds

    The weather effects table for player attributes starts at 0x18804. It is team dependent. It appears everything but MAX speed and Passing speed is effected by it

    TABLE
    SNOW   RAIN
    0x00,    0xFE   BUF
    0xFE,     0xFE   IND

    In SNOW buffalo gets no penalties. In rain they lose 2 notches to ALL attributes but max speed and passing speed.

    TB is the only team not to get a RAIN penalty.

    These are quite massive adjustments. It would be like one team having their whole team in good and the other having their whole team in bad before even factoring in the actual conditions.

    War6 reacted to bruddog in Player rating lookup table value differences
    For the most part the attribute (pass control, max speed ,etc) look up tables value are the same in the snes as the nes but there are a few differences:

    1. Ball Control. a 50 ball control player in SNES is the same as a 56 ball control player in NES.

    2. Running Speed. Rushing Power in the SNES is what Running Speed is in the NES. With that point a 31 Rushing power player is equivalent to a 44 Running Speed player in the NES. This is another reason
    beyond the raw player ratings why running/juking is harder in this version. The average defender has LT level running speed.

    Found the weather flag last night that is checked for a few things

    Its it $025F in memory
    0x80 = rain
    0x40 = snow
    0x00 = clear

    When  you dropback for a pass you have a 0x10 (16/256) chance of slipping in the rain and a 0x18 (24/256) chance of slipping in the snow.

    If your QB, defender or punt returner (need to double check the last one) gets tackled in the rain or snow their fumble chance is 0x10 (16/256) vs  0x0c (12/256).

    So far that's the only weather effects that I'm finding.

    Some positive news for the SNES folks.

    Using Diztinguish https://github.com/IsoFrieze/DiztinGUIsh/releases with https://github.com/binary1230/bsnes-plus/releases per the insturctions here:

    https://github.com/IsoFrieze/DiztinGUIsh/blob/master/TRACE CAPTURE INSTRUCTIONS.md

    makes it so a huge chunk of the raw disassembly can be automated.

    The other good news is the sequence of instructions and sequence of memory locations are identical in many cases. This will make "porting"  reverse engineering of the NES version a lot easier if I ever have time. Will try and post a dump at some point.

    I was also able to modify my java based condition checker to work with the zsnes emulator.

    The attached document provides relevant guidance for editing various aspects of SNES TSB. I will periodically edit various portions of the guide as my Tecmo Bro (Richard Young) & I make new discoveries as we produce new ROMs for you folks to play. If you find any discrepancies, please email me and I will correct ASAP. Additionally, if you want to share anything not contained within the guide, please email me & I will incorporate the information & credit you with the entry within the document. Hopefully, this information will help all SNES TSB enthusiasts with their special projects while simultaneously collocating all hacking documentation in a central location as a lot of info is somewhat difficult to locate in each thread.

    Enjoy,

    Yes. 23 will be ready prior to the regular season. All of our testing and graphics work is complete…just waiting on the actual rosters to shake out then we will upload the ROMs. We will have two versions available with three variations for a total of six ROMs. Gameplay sprites will be of the enhanced  variety and a classic sprite plus version. Three variations will be normal juice, normal juice + cpu pass defense hack, and full juice with cpu defense hack. About one month to go…

    @War6 requested this hack so I thought I’d post it here. Well this hack is not exactly what he wanted but he said it was good enough.

    This hack makes it so the COM will punt if more than 50 yards away from the endzone in the 4th qtr. He wanted this because the computer going for it and failing effected the stats too much

    Yes, that is the Bills.  I have the AFC east up to date.  Miami has 8 home jerseys and but only 4 away jerseys.  The other 3 teams have 16 total different ones.
