  1. Great Job! Why the hate on Tannehill? He played a heck of a game today. Even without being able to run the ball. The headline on NFL.com game section is "Tannehill strong in Dolphins' win over Browns" Cameron Wake also needs some more love. 3 sacks against one of the best OLs in the game.
  2. Have the interceptions been turned up in man vs com games? I'm not complaining, but an observation. Week 1 dolphins vs browns, weeden threw 7 INTs. My defenders didn't drop one. Rashad jones had five himself. Personally, I like it. It's just an observation. Scored seventy something to 0 because they couldn't get passed the fifty without throwing an INt. this was done on my PSP, which is much harder. I would imagine scoring 100 points could become common. Just curious, not trying to get geeky but was something tweaked? To those that are complaining about the ratings.....play the game. Everyone is a little conservative. Those that I thought were rated too low can still have breakout games.
  3. I did notice something weird while playing broncos versus ravens last night. I picked a pass play and one of the receivers went deep into the end zone and there was a defensive back that was supposed to be covering him but instead of covering him he was just moving Up and down up and down up and down very quickly like he was having some sort of seizure then when I threw the ball to the guy he was supposed to be covering my guy caught it about a yard behind the defensive guy. Kind of hard to explain while on my phone. But there is some sort of glitch for sure.
  4. I would imagine that they are planning on both. Online playable format that is very turn key for people that don't know about emulators and still the typical rom as well for guys like us.
  5. Hate to be a pest, but the Dolphins Mini helmet graphic were updated and then for some reason didn't make it into the rom. http://tecmobowl.org/topic/56597-tecmo-2014-beta/?p=375894
  6. not that it's a big deal, but the dolphins helmet didn't get updated in the final release. facemask still green on the mini helmet. Doesn't look like the one that Keith posted.
  7. Keith, you are not good, you are great. Thank you my friend.
  8. Did you get the dolphins mini helmet updated as well? (Green face mask should be white. Maybe update on the mini logo?)
  9. LOL. I guess that makes sense. BTW, this is so much fun. I love this freaking game. This years rom has been fantastic so far.
  10. That's why I said I'm sure you guys talked about this at length and was wondering how you came up with the numbers that you did. Kaep did have a great season rushing. I know it was in the second half of the season. But taking that into account, RGIII still out gained him in yards per rush. (6.8 vs 6.6). IN the game where Kaep broke the rushing record for a QB, the Packers were gassed and couldn't stop the read option. It had less to do with his ability and more to do with the fact that they were not prepared and he got them beat bad. All I'm saying is that I was expecting them both to be at 50. I'm not complaining. Just curious why Kaep is so much faster. RGIII's blowing out his knee shouldn't effect his ratings since he also took it easy for a while on a bad knee. I have no problem with the rating as the way it is, but I was expecting RGIII to be rated more like QB Eagles and instead he's more like QB Browns.
  11. I want to first premise this with I think the ratings are pretty much spot on. It seems that everyone is rated very accurately and if anything conservatively. A few things I noticed were: 1.) Dolphins RB Lamar Miller - Raise MS from 31 to 44. Lower HP from 81 to 31. He averaged nearly 5.0 yards per carry last year with only a handful of attempts. Looks real quick and shifty this year so far. But, he's certainly not 81hp. He's a little guy. One of the faster backs in the NFL. Predicted to have a good season, only time will tell. 2.) Bears WR Brandon Marshall - We all know he has a beast mode. He's a big physical WR. Only 13HP. I would imagine at least 31 IMO. 3.) RGIII has 38MS (815YDS 7TDS) and Colin Kaepernik has 50MS (415YDS 5TDS). Shouldn't RGIII have a faster MS than Kaepernik? I could see them being rated similarly. But, I wouldn't expect Kaep to be that much higher than RGIII. I'm sure you guys talked about this at length. Just wondering what the discussion looked like.
  12. Matt, I just wanted to personally thank you again and everyone else who worked on this. Clearly, you are putting your life on hold to make sure this releases in a timely manner and that the finished rom is as close to perfect as possible. It's your dedication that has kept this community alive and well throughout the years. Bravo sir. Hopefully we can get together again sometime at a nearby tourney. Drinks on me my friend.
  13. Great job. Love the intro logo. The new Intro Graphix are awesome. JJWAT!!!! Some notes on the Dolphins..... 1.) Mike Wallace. In the beta version rom from last year when he was on the Steelers, he was rated 63MS and 75REC. This year he's rated 44MS and 69REC. He is rated slower than Danny Amendola....slower than Brandon Marshall.......I would recommend at least a small bump there. 2.) Defensive Formation. You have the BIG interior DT Paul Soliai as an outside linebacker. Here is how I would do it: RE - Vernon NT - Soliai LE - Starks ROLB - Wake RILB - Misi LILB - Ellerbe LOLB - Wheller Or, maybe a quick fix would be just put Dion Jordan in at Soliai's spot on Outside LB and call it a day. Clemons is the SS and Jones is the FS. 3.) Mini Helmets - in the team selection screen where the mini helmets are, the Dolphins facemask is green. This should be updated to white. I think you guys are still working on this. 4.) After you press start to begin the game at the TSB Title screen it still says "2007". Thank you to everyone that worked on this years rom It's really looking polished. Love the end zones.
  14. I'm not saying it's really the best idea either. However it's the only way that any Cardinals get into the TSBHOF.
  15. Tailback, The only way that Johnny Johnson get's fitted for a gold jacket and you order a bronze bust for him is if you get two entries per team. Otherwise, a running back with 50MS, 38HP, 38REC should not be making the hall of fame. The hall of fame is for the Elite. Johnny Johnson seems fast because his 50MS seems much faster than the 44MS, 19MS, 38MS, and 19MS, which is the rest of the offense on the field. Which makes sense. Johnny Johnson never rushed for over 1,000 yards in a single season. Which also leads to my conclusion that Herschel Walker has no place in the Hall of Fame whatsoever either.
  16. I think we need to set some ground rules. Here is what I would suggest to keep it fair. 1.) only applies to TSB for NES. If you want a different hall of fame for TSBII on sega, then make a separate one. 2.) each team gets two entries. Along with some of the better teams getting some extra slots. This keeps it even. Otherwise, you could literally just induct the niners and call it a day. This also helps decide on players like Herschel Walker. Because for their two players, I would recommend Anthony Carter and Keith Millard. Honerable mention to Joey Browner. And as you can see, Walker isn't even I'm the conversation if he isn't the two of three best players on his own team. This also gets players like Johhny Johnson in the hall of fame. Because for the cards, it would be him and Lonnie Young. It also helps the discussion about the browns and Eric Metcalf. QBBrowns is certainly first. Now you could make a case for Metcalf. I line him up at TE every season and he rocks. He would be fighting mike Johnson, Kevin Mack and Webster slaughter for the second position. And some reasonable discussion could be had about this. Are there any other rules that you think need to be set or do you like these ones?
  17. First of all capitalhman, welcome to the site. What you are referring to is what we all call "Juice" or the computer getting "Juiced". I don't know why we really use that term, but it's what we use. As you go through the season and win more games, especially, undefeated, the computer gets harder or Juiced. This will result in harder to run the ball, WRs being covered more often....and on defense will cause players like Jaime Muller running for 65 yard touchdown when normally week one, he's only good for one yard. I would also suggest you stay here for a while and check out some of the threads, especially some of the stickies and see what some of these guys have been up to with this game. Even though the game is over 20 years old, it is still alive and well and being analyzed and modified to the highest levels. 18. Quickest release on and off the field.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nO5VluqGpj8
  19. Mark Carrier - Tampa Bay If anyone had hidden stats, it's this guy. Just played a game last night, where I just threw the ball to him, covered or not. He never dropped a pass. Went 7 of 7 sometimes in triple coverage. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YV_u6d8l6tE That also leads to the other Mark Carrier - Bears. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oBhuL0IGkw Rookie that gets 10 INTS, not bad.
  20. Guys, changing the playbooks is not cheating. It's a feature of the game. One of the things that makes the game great is the ability to change your plays and customize your attack. Same with changing players. Don't limit yourself to a horrible playbook. Open things up.
  21. Jimmy Brown is my favorite running back of all time. Thank you for posting Dave. I haven't seen that version of his highlights. Deions tackle might have been a horse collar in todays game. He should have went for the strip. Bad tackle really, but Neon Deion has some speed. I have also been a huge endorser of Bucks Time Machine rom. One of my all time favorites.
  22. Thank you so much. I hate to say that I have been losing sleep about this, but it has bothered me that version didn't save. Thank you so much for editing it. I believe that everyone can agree that the original rom with only the playbook change is about as good as it gets. Thank you, thank you thank you!
  23. That's kind of why I jokingly suggested Tannehill. Lots of people think he'll blow up this year with Mike Wallace and Brian Hartline and he's not the obvious pick. I personally think that JJ Watt if you are looking for something a little different but still makes sense is a great choice. I also like the rookie QB Class from 2012, Luck, RGIII, Wilson, Tannehill.
