hey can any one help me, I am trying to alter the tecmo super bowl (U).nes using the TSBM manager 2000 but when I save the alter file it doesn't read it, why?

Hello there, I am new here and I would like to say that when I found this game on line I was so excited because I used to play it back in high school. The only thing is that when ever I am playing the rom 2003-2004 NFL Rom for Tecmo Super Bowl on nesten I can not save game. Can any one help me? Thank you!
