The greatest game that never was... I lost all 3 of my kick returners in a classic match up with my 85 Raiders vs the 85 Bears, in the SuperBowl no less. The game actually was 0 - 0 going into the 4th Quarter. To be fair I came into the game with 2 of them already down but losing the 3rd guy was something I didn't know was possible and to find that out in a game that epic still sucks to this day. Had to restart and the score wasn't nearly as tight in the rematch for some reason. So yep definitely on par with a body bag game - injuries Eff'd me over

Just wanted to say GREAT ROM and good job as always. Dont have a PS3 or madden so had to get that good ol 2010 TECMO fix in. As for my experience with the rom - incredible season with the Raiders ( 14-2 ) Then in the playoffs Wooped the Chargers 31- 14 then it was time to face The Colts - Got lucky and knocked out Manning in the 1st quarter - smash fest romp on their ass 39-9. Then got to play in one of the best Tecmo Super Bowls of allzzzz time - 26-20 in OT over the Saints. The Saints actually had a chance to win it in OT but went for the FG at around the 35 - it missed and Jason Campbell was able to drive down and run in the TD. Great ROM! peace

Marc Wilson will always be remebered in the NFL as a QB who had the genetics but not the "right" stuff. In the virtual world however, Marc Wilson will always be a QB who stood tall and made the right play when the right play was needed. Its 3rd and 11 at the Niners 45.....Marc Wilson broke a Micheal Carter tackle and then busted thru a Pierce Holt grab and then...shrugged off another 49er to deliver an over the middle shot to Marv Cook. 1st DOwn From that moment on Marc WIlson was no longer a shit Q...B he was a player who could deliver. The Pats went on to put up 2 more TDs - And in the 4th quarter... A Defense Led by Ray Agnew keying on Montanas bootleg to the left gave the ball back to the lowly Pats and then some... With the game in the balance and just about everything on the line Ryan Stavorsky delivered the GW FG NE 24 -21 SF -------Marc Wilson - never good but Great when it mattered. Damn thats some serious returning. I was happy when I got 10 Tds in a season with Rathman - fun stuff. On a sidenote I remember reading something that said returners were based on some line mans max speed or some speed in a Tecmo guide. I think it said theres a lineman on NO with a better than average speed and it affects the returner - theres like one other team with a similar setup but Id have to check the guide again to get my facts straight.

Thanks Tom for pointing out TSB2, have to check that out now! Thats an incredible amount of speed and the reception values combined with condition changes......sheesh I dont know if that set would be stoppable.. I remember seeing the Oilers WRs on TSB and thinking these guys are redonkulous - but with these 4...I know Brown is no Drew Hill - but this could be the best set of 4 WRs in all of Tecmo. Rice and Taylor were a great tandem with help from Jones but once again - if any of these at least catch the ball, with some nice moves its TDs and big plays all day.

Miami went to the AFC championship in 92' so theyre always lingering somewhere in the playoffs. An easy team to stop and ususally a speed bump to Buffalo or Houston.

Hi all, In 1993 Tecmo had the Raiders with these WR's: Timmy Brown - James Lofton (wtf) - Willie Gault ( played 3 games and cut) - and Alexander Wright Now while Tecmo had it right these guys were on the roster, Gault never made it past the 4th week and Lofton was nonexistent. The real 1993 Season had the Raiders go 10-6 and they went primarily with these 4 Wideouts: Timmy B ( pro bowler that year) - James Jett ( an olympic gold medalist ) - Rocket Ismail - and A .Wright. Whats significant here is that James Jett had a 23 yard per catch avg with 33 grabs - higher than even Super Bowl Champ Alvin Harper that year. Now Yes, Tecmo didnt know James Jett would be able to catch at least as many balls as A. Harper but if only they couldve factored him in the game and his speed... Alexander Wright while a junk receiver and Jett wouldve been given the same or maybe worse Sam Graddy receiving ratings, however he wouldve still had at least 63 MAX SPEED to mirror A-Wrights. A. Wright was the NFLS fastest man winner around that time so it wouldve played out well. Now for Rocket ( Hesiman trophy Winner) - most young whipper snappers have no clue how blinding Rockets speed was, and yes he went to Canada for a couple years but...he still grabbed 26 balls for 353 yards and 1 - 43 yard bomber that year. While hes not the most convincing WR his MAX SPEED shouldve been at least 56 So the real 1993 Raider Passing game in SNES had it had: Jeff Hostetler - a decent passer with 56 PS 50 PC - Timmy B with 56 Receptions and 56 MAX speed - A. Wright - 63 MAX speed 19 rec, James Jett 63 Max 19 rec and Rocket MAX SPEED 63 ( yes 63 he was waaay faster than Brown ) with 19 REC - with those 4 WRS and their speed combined with condition changes they couldve really ran shop in snes 1993. While I know this is all shoulda coulda woulda - Speed in video game football cant be denied Any Objections or is this Case Closed?

I had always wanted to win a Super Bowl with every team in Tecmo just didnt want to play all 16 games to do it - So after taking the Supa Juiced code and applying it to the SNES version with the original NES rosters the Gauntlet was created. It was simple take a team prefarably a wildcard team and win the big one -- If a team had a hard time making the playoffs, then after they lost 6 games force them in by winning the rest. Framskip is essential here and teams like the Pats, Browns, and Colts just didnt seem to make it - all others found a way in some way or another.
