  1. It holds some water, but I don't believe it has anything to do with POINTS. Every WIN you have (above 0.500) increases the COM boosts.
  2. "not as likely" is an understatement. I like "close to impossible" - because while I know that it MUST BE possible (because you can go in and change ratings and then P2 will get it) - but I have never-ever seen or heard of P2 getting an onside kick in original 1991 TSB. and I challenge anyone to use unmodified 1991 TSB and get P2 to recover onside kick before Christmas 2011. I want to see it.

  6. go ahead an leave the ratings default. you'll be trying to get MAN PLAYER 2 to recover onsides kick 'till christmas. the thing is, there isn't a fair chance for player 2 to recover onsides kick - unless ratings are tweaked - but then player 1 has an even better chance than before.
  7. Uh.....what? well, for each team in a "non-international" division, a set amount of "attribute notches" were available to distribute to the players in each position. I don't have the exact "notches" here with me right now, but for example: DIV 1 has 20 notches to give to Offense RS, 25 notches to RP, and 28 notches to MS. (so, in this example, DIV 1 has 28 MS notches to divvy-up between QB1, QB2, RB1, RB2, WR1, WR2, and TE1)....likewise, DIV 2 will have different amounts of notches to distribute to these categories - sometimes there wasn't a huge difference. we tried to keep things "EVEN" - so if DIV 1 had a HIGH MS, they would have LOW HP, and on and on. but these so-called "international" teams had a TOTAL amount of attribute notches (let's say 300 for example) to distribute to any player on the team (offense or defense or OL or whoever). we did use some restraint with MS - I believe that 69 is the highest MS of any offensive player. and there are only a couple of these on the whole game.
  8. thanks Bodom, please let me know what you think. hopefully I will get some adequate documentation up here soon. (I'm still trying to get 'rewhawl' on here to take some of the load off my back) gameplay-wise it's an upgraded/enhanced version (upgraded plays and graphics, too) of my 2010 NFL ROM, but with more fumbling and injuries. design-wise (basically) each division had so many "notches" of attributes to distribute to the different categories of players (each division had different ranges of notches - some had more HP to distribute (but less of something else), some had more attributes to distribute to defensive players (but offense was poor). (oh, and starters only - RB, WR, TE backups were auto-generated using the minimum attributes for each category, K and P all the same). I made two teams and rewhawl made two teams per division. the 4th division (the international/total team pts) takes an (approximate) average of notches given to all the other 6 divisions and the team creator is able to distribute those how and wherever he wishes (instead of having certain rating categories "capped" like in the other divisions).

  13. so, if everything goes right for the next 5 hours (I'm working on something else at the moment - and I need to speak with rewhawl later on to make sure he has everything ready to go), I will be "releasing" TSP 2k11 tonight. after (an undisclosed amount of time, due to prior commitments) I release the game, I will give details on the team-design/mission/features of the ROM.
  14. rewhawl changed up mini graphics for some of his teams - Huntsville Inmates, Salem Wiccans, Alabama Mudbugs, and the Lagos High Life. and I changed the mini for Kodiak Krush
  15. when I bring up the game to people that may not "be in the know", I just use the words "Tecmo Bowl" - even when I really mean "Super". I've found that leaving out the word "Super" helps the conversation go smoother.

  18. little bump for this guy (NinjaTheGaiden) - he was dropping these mad posts back when I first showed up here. really blew my mind at the time. heck, I still don't get most of the stuff this guy wrote.

The unfortunate side affect of using quickness as MS for INT and fumble returns is that it affects the offensive fumble recoveries, onside recoveries, and perhaps even offensive recoveries of blocked kicks (didn't bother testing that one). Thus when an offensive player recovers it, it also references the 6th attribute slot (where QUI is on defense), so any high PC QB or high REC player will be way too fast. I think it even makes the OL really fast when they recover it. However, Jstout says "psshaw" to all that and just fixed it himself in like 30 minutes by distinguishing between offensive and defensive players. Make the below changes, and the problem will be no more... x29087: 20 DF FF EA EA and x3FFEF: A8 45 70 30 06 20 97 DD A0 82 60 20 92 DD A0 87 60 I still recommend using the RP boost that bruddog mentions in the above quote, but with those changes we now have a usable and glitch free (?) way to include quickness in our roms.   22. SOLID. Nice work. Off the top of my head, you should also consider highlighting NT Bob Nelson, DB Mark Carrier (highest INT), and the NO Saints RT and Craig Heyward combination (for best KR on game).
