  1. I was thinking 10, too...but Hand has 56, the other DL have 50, and then Bickett has 50. 11-4 = 7 players. I just did a quick count by hand and ranked the teams with 44 or less HP defenders..... GB 9 RAMS 9 TB 8 BUF 7 IND 7 JETS 7 CIN 7 HOU 7 SEA 7 WAS 7 PHX 7 ATL 7 CLE 6 DEN 6 NO 6 MIA 5 RAI 5 NE 4 PIT 4 SD 4 PHI 4 CHI 4 DET 4 MIN 4 49ER 3 GIA 2 DAL 2 Green Bay ties with worst, and Green Majik was the closest, so he's up. time to move on.
  2. in the 1st quarter of a preseason TSB game, how many of the drone defenders on the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS can RB CHRISTIAN "Nigerian Nightmare" OKOYE "popcorn" without grappling? clarification: how many IND defenders out of 11?
  3. I never did much with SNES version, but guessing...badboy "killer" mcmahon, k-but, and whoever the CIN punter was from TSB (had to look) - lee van johnson
  4. yeah next clue was gonna be "Heisman" but that would have totally gave it away.
  5. Marino is close, but no cigarillo. good guess. guesses so far have been: Elway and Marino. more clues for the 1991 TSB QB who had the most career INTs -> this guy played in the NFL for 21 seasons and was on 7 teams!
  6. what 1991 TSB QB has thrown the most career interceptions?
  7. off the top of my head: qb eagles, jefferson george, juarren moon, badboy mcmahon, uhh...
  8. I 2nd this. I would definitely piss on a burning mort, no doubt. no doubt in my mind. whoops, I talked.
  9. leaving off K-State is a mistake. they must replace TCU or TEX. bill Snyder is a pretty good coach, but he doesn't (never had, never will) have what it takes. he can get the best out of players that most DIV 1 coaches would not even look at. he is a man of integrity, too. I appreciate him, but he is not underrated or overrated. I both love Snyder and hate him. his playcalling is more predictable than my 8th grade coach, where we literally ran 4 plays, and the Guards/Tackles would swap sides to the side the play was going to. he also blows all team timeouts in the 1st two drives of each half, 90% of the time. heck, usually will blow all timeouts in a single drive, and usually these drives result in a goddamm punt.
  10. on the playing field - this doesn't seem to bother me. it looks weird in TOOL, though.
  11. if you are referring to the skin tone + ability method (not, the 3rd-color, no-race method) the "minor league" rom is one of them, somewhere on the site here, if you can find it. I have no idea how to find roms on this site anymore. we had a spreadsheet where we would set the skin tone, and then, based on the ability of the player, a face was automatically selected from a list (IF). we had 4 possibilities (within each skin tone): bum, bronze, silver, and gold.
  12. that part sucks, for sure. that is a good idea regarding face via position/ability (while maintaining desired skin tone). on my fake-football roms, we did things like that, and it worked quite well. another thing I did about that (in an unreleased tsb rom) was completely remove skin color and face altogether. just make everybody "brown" skinned in TOOL, but actually use that skin palette as an extra team color. then, make the action cut screen skin tone something inbetween peach and brown, let's call it "tan". this scenario works out better than you'd think (try it), but you do lose the "race-pride" aspect of tecmo. lol
  13. man, these are all pretty good, though. joe thomas or mack or leveon. nice work.
  14. fats - were you referring to celebrating the birthdays of monica lewinksi's ex-boyfriend or kirk cousins's?
  15. chris (jim) everett logic, I guess.
  16. you posted this same thread like 3 years ago.... this one I did a while back is pretty good. it has 1980 HOUSTON OILERS. check it out. the .NES download is in the post.
  17. so I just now realized that Johnny Johnson is/was an actual human being. this whole time I thought we were talking about a video game character called Johnny Johnson, who had a reverse play to the slowest WR on the Tecmo Super Bowl Nintendo game. anyways, I am cool with Johnny as a super awesome magical NES character, but I am NOT cool with Johnny as an actual human-being NFL running back. NES Johnny >>> Real Johnny. Real Johnny sux.
  18. my favorite site (for historical stuff) is: http://www.pro-football-reference.com, and I like their "AV" value for each player. @bruddog, what do you think about the AV rating? surely it's a bit more scientific than some random bleacherreport writers opinion?
  19. bruddog, so what about when the offense recovers a fumble? does this same "return int" chunk of code get loaded for them (offense)?
  20. this hack, well a derivative of it that I use, is the one I find best for TSB turnover returns. but, I simply boost RP by *5 notches. No other boosts. anyways, my question is: what about when the "offense" recovers fumbles or blocked kicks, etc? does the offense use this code, too? I hope not. *why 5 notches? well, the "average" RP of every player on defense (1991 TSB) is calculated at 38 RP, thus to bring them up to 69 RP (a level playing field with the "offense"), requires 5 notches, by my math.
  21. for "balance" - something I do is break down the number of a certain type of player on the 1991 TSB and then correlate it to the 32 team rom. for example, on the 1991 TSB, see the following regarding QB1 Pass Control attribute, the 1st column is PC value, the 2nd column is the number of QBs with that value, the 3rd column is simply (2nd column)*32/28, which would give the relative number of players on a 32 team rom that would be similar on the 1991 28 team rom. qb1 PC 32 team 81 2 2.3 75 2 2.3 69 3 3.4 63 3 3.4 56 2 2.3 50 2 2.3 44 6 6.9 38 1 1.1 31 4 4.6 25 3 3.4 as you can see, there were 6x QBs with 44 PC, this means that on my 32 team rom there will be 7 QBs with 44 PC. same thing with WR REC, MS, RB MS, etc. I think that this sort of birds eye view is good for balance of rom. another thing I have been thinking about is actually breaking down percentages of teams with certain players....for example, what percentage of teams have at least one RB with 50 MS or more...and so forth. and then applying these percentages to frame team ratings for a modern 32 team rom.
