  1. my work schedule is just tough, i rarely know if i am getting out on time. no set schedule and what not. i might make a wed night, but with a wife and two dogs it isn't very likely. i'll still monitor the thread just in case.
  2. missed this one! if we do it again on a weekend, let me know!
  3. thanks dude! new ROM will be 100% more murderer free! Unless you count Ray Lewis.
  4. Anyone interested in making a rom that features all the characters from the TV series Friday Night Lights? I think it would be a ton of fun to play as Matt Saracen or Tim Riggins. I have zero skills at hacking ROMs, but would love to see this if someone is up for it. Just a suggestion...
  5. Observations of the Kansas City Chiefs LeRon McClain is #44 (33 is retired) McCluster is exclusively a RB this season, Battle might not make the cut If you have to pick a new WR4 I would go with Jerheme Urban Also, in general, it seems kickoffs are still at the 30. Are they going to be moved to the 35?
  6. I will be there and trying to draft a couple of co-workers who like playing. lambs to slaughter, but the more the merrier! I may also may be able to get an NES, cart, and 2 controllers if one of the co-workers is okay with bringing his.
  7. NEW ORLEANS (AP)—Veteran kicker John Carney(notes) is returning to the New Orleans Saints. Carney’s agent, Jack Mills, confirmed in an e-mail Tuesday to The Associated Press that his client would be signing a contract with his former team. Terms of the deal were not released. Carney, who is 46, worked out for the Saints Tuesday after starting kicker Garrett Hartley(notes) missed a 29-yard field goal in overtime Sunday that would have given the Saints a 27-24 win over the Atlanta Falcons. For the season, Hartley is 4-for-7 on field goal attempts. The Saints have not announced who would be waived to create a roster spot for Carney. In 2009, the Saints carried both kickers for most of the season after Hartley returned from a four-game suspension. woot!
  8. A lot of teams in the NFL use DBs to return kicks and punts. Is there any way to make that work in TSB roms? Personally, as a Chiefs fans, I'd love to be able to use both McCluster and Javier Arenas. Would that mean that the DB would need to be a starter on D too? Perhaps you could stick him as like WR4 just as a throw away or make a dedicated PR position. This would be a great hack.
  9. is it possible to pull a clean image of the cut scene after a rushing TD. Where the camera full pans up and the player is about to spike the ball? I would like to do something with that image, but it's pretty hard to photoshop out the background. a sprite would be ideal!

  11. why didn't this image post? is there an issue embedding photos now? i don't think i saved it, but it was pretty good if I do say so myself.
  12. that was like a 20 minute photochop. hope someone finds it useful!
  13. Chiefs are all messed up. Croyle is the backup QB. Thigpen is probably getting trade, but at best the #3 Jackie Battle is the backup RB Kolby Smith is hurt and won't be making the team Devard Darling is listed as the #2 WR for now no Amani Toomer McInstosh is back to LT, and Barry Richardson is starting at RT Ryan Succuop is the K You left Derrick Johnson off the roster, he's the starting LILB Patrick Surtain is not even in the NFL anymore - the other CB is Brandon Carr
  14. will there be an Northeast tourney this year? A coworker of mine brought in his old NES and TSB upon my request and we've been playing pretty regularly. They've been converted! Would be fun to have another one on the SB bye week. Too short notice?
  15. sounds like a fun idea, but that's kind of far for me to commit to. I live in Brooklyn. I'll think about it.
  16. Once you edit your team names and rosters, can you share those changes with other DS owners? Over Wi-Fi? Data card? In other words, if one person creates the master NFL-replica style team set, could other people enjoy their hard work? Or do we all have to do our own version? When playing over a WiFi if one person has a modded roster, can both people use it, or do you need matched rosters to link up?
  17. buf - Pete Metzelars, and throw in Kevin Everett for morale's sake atl - Alge Crumpler, O.J. Santiago (he invented the dirty bird dance)

  19. Chiefs roster is completely wrong. I am pretty sure I posted on one of your earlier releases this year. You have guys who aren't even on the team anymore. And I know all the depth charts reflect it. Did you only look up the teams you like?
  20. some notes on the Chiefs: Croyle is most likely the starter, not Huard. He throws bullets, not lobs, but should get picked a lot. Get rid of Rod Gardner and replace him with Jeff Webb or Ean Randolph (PR). LG is Brian Waters, not Brian Walters. Guy is a perrenial Pro-Bowler, come on. Justin Medlock is black, not white. I would replace William Kershaw with Kendrell Bell, despite the depth chart. Bell will see the field on 3rd down as a situational pass rusher, Kershaw is a STer at best. Sammy Knight was cut and Wesley is about to be traded. Definitely not in contention for starter. Replace them with Jarrad Page and Bernard Pollard respectively. Give Pollard a nice HP, his nickname is bonecrusher. Other than that, looks solid. Not sure how to weigh in on the ratings. Thanks, and good luck.
  21. weird, because last week I was having a conversation with my friend who works for ESPN (Associate Producer on Monday Night Countdown) about what he thought of a where are they now-esque story about TSB players. When I pitched the idea I was thinking more of a Kenny Mayne type piece, but I could see the Sklar Bros. in that as well. Anyway, he loved the idea and said he was going to pitch it. If you have some serious ideas outlined maybe we can float them to him and see what happens. My only fear is that since ESPN is tied to the Madden license they won't want to prop up a competing game...especially since Tecmo has a new offering for 2008. Give me a hollar though, it seems like you have some solid ideas!
