  1. Unfortunately FA editing doesn't work well in TSB3 Manager. It is something you would need to do in HEX, I checked my notes, and not sure of the location of the values, IIRC they would be the first value after the attributes... But it's been a while.
  2. http://www.espn.com/blog/detroit-lions/post/_/id/30704/jim-bob-cooters-coordination-evolution-from-tecmo-bowl-to-the-nfl Maybe he's on this forum?
  3. I went a lot farther down the rabbit hole than I thought I could, I have an ips patch that would give the graphical update only, will that work?
  4. That's cool, seems like a really down to earth guy.
  5. It's a updated TSB3 rom posted from the dawn of time by Johnz1 and myself. I probably have it in a backup somewhere.
  6. If you want to stop the run, call Goal Line. Defense leaves one LB to basically mimic and spy RB. You will not get more than one receiver covered, so if pass is called you need to be careful. Dime is completely useless, as pass coverage is actually worse than Nickel (at least in my experience). Normal seems to be a poor compromise and actually doesn't do a good job of stopping anything, maybe geared more towards stopping the run, but will leave people open. At that point you could just as well run Goal Line if you really want to stop the run. I am sure others will disagree, but this is my experience. Most of the experience is against human players...
  7. TSB 2 to me was fun because it's level of difficulty was higher than 3.
  8. I/we enjoyed it thoroughly. The tag team was interesting, it involves a lot of momentum swings if the matchups or strengths are uneven. It's also hard to get into a rythym, but it's fun. My brothers back started locking up towards the end, so my tag team partner was physically falling apart! Would definitely make this a yearly trip if you keep it rolling. I also did great in group play only to lose out right away, I blame it on the fireball shot I took.
  9. I have for sure me and another guy @noonan. One more guy who has a wedding at 4:00 I am still trying to coax into coming, maybe I'll pick up a straggler or two on the way. I also have two NES's and carts coming too.
  10. No I mean, he wasn't set as the returner? So if you didn't move to the right hand screen the game was still waiting for him to be replaced?
  11. http://tecmobowl.org/forum/topic/2991-changing-player-faces-in-tecmo-superbowl-iii/#comment-71474 http://tecmobowl.org/forum/topic/2991-changing-player-faces-in-tecmo-superbowl-iii/#comment-71356 I think I just linked to the same page, but I am not sure, and don't have time to double check but my search turned this up
  12. Insanely complicated, but I wonder how viable mamehub would be for online tecmo
  13. A good guy to ask would be @Eric, not many people do man v man with created players
  14. If TSB1 Sega could've figured out the diving issue, it would have really rocked, loved that game. The diving makes defense too easy and it plays much differently.
  15. Otherwise would this help? http://www.gamefaqs.com/snes/588774-tecmo-super-bowl/faqs/41237
  16. It is in Evernote now, I have access to it if you want it in another format, and if he gives his blessing
  17. I'll do a little recap. The even was a blast. I hadn't been to a tournament since Tecmo Lincoln 1, where I was beaten in the first round by Buck. But I think that it was double elimination at that time, so I am not 100% sure but I remember losing quickly after group play. On to Tecmo Lincoln VI, I arrived a little early to bring some Nintendo's for Knobbe than played some practice games against a guy who ended up making it to the final 8, followed by a guy who had never played Tecmo before. The latter guy had a collection of over 700 SNES cartridges, which he showed me a picture of and I was shocked at such a beautiful sight. On to the tournament. I played in a group with Craig (the 2nd place finisher) and it was a sign of things to come, I destroyed him 35-3, he had about as bad of luck as possible, he was the Bears I was the Chiefs. He lost 3 fumbles in that game with Anderson, and Okoye was rolling. The next two group play games I won as GB against Saints 14-0, than beat the Giants as the Bills 21-7. With those point differentials I went in as the 5th seed out of 42 guys. In between play I played a pickup game versus a guy and lost in OT, only to find out that I was playing him in the actual tournament in the 2nd round. Struggled versus him and won 7-3 as the Bucs versus the Bolts. Than moved on after that in the round of 16 against the Bills as the Oilers 14-10, the game could have gone either way. Following that game I got a good break in that Luke lost to Nick (I guess Luke won or did really good the year prior) in one of the wildest finishes I had seen in a while. I think there was 3 straight interceptions in the last two minutes and Nick went from down 7 to winning by three. After Nick's emotional high, I beat him 24-7 as the Chiefs versus the Bengals to advance to the final four. In the final four I was owned by eventual champion Cory (Noonan) 24-0 Jets vs NO and Justin Peters 17-3 Chiefs against Dolphins. So got my money back for the 4th place payout and had a good time. A couple of other notables, the card collection of Noonan's was fun to see. Entry fee into the tournament meant we all got packs of football cards. My batch of cards had 6 coaches in it, including both Colts and Patriots coaches. There was a guy at the event that had a "Crabcakes and Football that's what Maryland does" trucker hat, which is now on my list of purchases. Knobbe did a great job running the show, the bar was a great setting, can't wait to go again!
  18. Was a great tournament great turnout and congrats to noonan !
