  1. This program is used to easily set the colors for all 30 teams, through use of special text files. The "usage.txt" file tells you how to use the program to edit team colors for Tecmo Super Bowl 3 on SNES. tsb3pal.zip
  2. This is a tool to make, extract, and generate rosters to & from SNES Tecmo Super Bowl 3 derivatives. It comes with a how-to guide and example files. It uses text files as input, which contain data about players on each team. The auto generator creates a random roster, which plops something completely different out every time. Be sure to try it out. tsb3roster.zip
  3. I just fixed a minor problem with the defensive backs. I had the starting free and strong safeties in the backup corner slots (I misassumed that it was {CB1,CB2,FS,SS,DB4,DB5,DB7}, turned out being {CB1,CB2,CB3,CB4,FS,SS,S3}). It doesn't affect results that much, but you might want to re-download if you want the right players starting at safety for each team. Hopefully I don't find any other screwups, it get gets messy updating files peopl have already downloaded.
  4. I didn't edit the field logos. The real reasons are "laziness" and irrelevancy to gameplay. I may edit them in future editions, but right now they are stuck playing in the NFL stadium of the team they replaced. Since alot of college teams play in pro stadiums (Tulane, SDSU, & USF for example) this isn't too far fetched.
  5. This is some tech info about TSB3-SNES ROM addresses and data structure formats. I've figured out most of the simulation rating data, with the help of this the post a while back: http://www.tecmobowl.org/forum/viewtopic. ... cde59881f5 I organized most of this XLS file while making the Sugar Bowl ROM, but just touched it up for public release. It took me a while to compile and find all the addresses, so this is to make sure no one has to do most of this searching. Tsb3TechSpecs.zip
  6. This is my first release of this rom mod. It is a college-themed edit, that includes 30 NCAA I-A teams with 2004 rosters, extra 2004 star players in the F-A pool, and a full college legends roster. The simulation ratings were edited to match the players. I had to write a program myself to do this since I wasn't able to find a tool that did this. Here are the teams included in the edit, grouped by region: -- S.Atlantic (AFC-E) -- Clemson Florida State Georgia Miami North Carolina -- Gulf (AFC-C) -- Alabama LSU Oklahoma Tennessee Texas -- R. Mountain (AFC-W) -- Arizona State BYU Colorado New Mexico Utah -- Northeast (NFC-E) -- Michigan Notre Dame Ohio State Penn State Virginia Tech -- Heartland (NFC-C) -- Illinois Iowa Kansas State Nebraska Wisconsin -- Pacific (NFC-W) -- Cal Hawaii Oregon USC Washington This is not a 2004 top-30 grouping, but more of a balanced representation of teams across America. Long-term tradition weighed more than recent success in most cases. I tried to keep it to no more than one team per state, but there are exceptions: USC/Cal -- California is big enough to justify including two schools Miami/FSU -- Ditto for Florida Utah/BYU -- The former includes the #5-ranked team in 2004, and the latter is my fav. team (see username). For teams I omitted (like Auburn), the free agent pool may contain a few of their stars in the F-A pool. The best teams in this game's seasons tend to be the best in real life 2004, but there are exceptions. Alot more is explained in the attached text file that comes with the rom, so I won't describe it further. Tecmo_Sugar_Bowl_v1_0.zip
