  2. I have made roms for 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969 and 1970.
  3. I have been using the actual home teams from the 1991 schedule.

  5. Niners just were in the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
  6. I have been playing a complete season, where I play as the home team every game. The only hacks I put in were the KR and PR hacks that use the correct speed of the returner and I also pumped up the juice so the games would at least be interesting to play. I made rules where I could only control d-backs on defense, and I had to punt, kick field goals on 4th down, unless it would be realistic to go for it. I have also been trying to replicate offensive style during the 1991 season, as well as, no playbook changes. So far I have just completed the 9th week of the season. As the home team my record is 80-wins and 35-losses. The real home teams were 70-wins 45-losses, during the real 1991 season up to this point. I have kept track of fumbles. So far there have been 201 fumbles with 135 being recovered by the defense. The leaders in plus/minus are the Raiders at +11 and the Seahawks are the worst at -9. The most prolific fumblers are Humphrey - Den, Okoye-KC, Word-KC, and Fenney - Minn all with 6 fumbles. The Standings at the halfway point in the season. 7. Is there a way to allow the defense to have a chance to block punts if they get close enough before the kick, like on field goals. I have had a player actually grapple with the punter and he still punts the ball.
  8. I have uploaded a 1979 RBI Baseball Rom. I have never been a fan of rbi because it plays like a slow pitch softball game, but I made two versions original and realistic. I may make another it took very little time to complete. If anyone has a suggestion for which year to make, post which year you would like to see and why.

I have made RBI Baseball for the 1979 Season. This is my first RBI edit. I have made an original version that plays like the original game where the scoring is like slow pitch softball. I have also made a realistic version where I reduced the power of each player by 100. This gives a more realistic scoring game. Teams included are Baltimore Orioles, Milwaukee Brewers, Boston Red Sox, New York Yankees, California Angels, Pittsburgh Pirates, Montreal Expos, St.Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and Houston Astros. These were the top 10 teams by record that year. Just missing out were Detroit Tigers by 1/2 a game, Kansas City Royals by 1 game and Philadelphia Phillies by 2 games. IF you are a wee youngster or don't remember the 1979 season the Orioles beat the Angels in the AL Championship, the Pirates beat the Reds in the NL Championship and then the Pirates beat the Orioles in the World Series. Pittsburgh also won the Super Bowl that year.

  11. I have the game play down for the 1976 season. Wow the steelers had 9 pro bowl starters on defense including the entire secondary. I played a test season as the 1976 buccs. I am not an elite level tecmo player but I do usually make the playoffs and win the superbowl on the origianal cart. I haven't played the playoffs yet, but will do soon. 1976 Buccaneers Season: Game 1 - a close game before Houston pulled away for a 35-21 win. Game 2 - was dominated by Bucc turnovers and SD won 35-14. Game 3 - The Buccs were run over by OJ Simpson for a 28-14 loss Game 4 - A really good Colts team dropped the buccs to 0-4 by a 49-27 score Game 5 - Boobie Clark gave Cincinnati a 14-10 victory over the buccs on the last play. Game 6 - The Buccs called the first two Seahawk plays and got a safety. After that they pulled out their only win of the season 23-21. Game 7 - Miami 28-26 over the Buccs.. so close. Game 8 - The Chiefs outlased the Buccs 31-21. Game 9 - started a bad run for the Buccs - Denver scored 22 unaswered points in the final quarter to pull away 36-14. Game 10 - the Jets beat down the Buccs 30-14 Game 11 - The Browns rolled the Buccs 51-14 Game 12 - The Raiders destroyed the Buccs 47-14 Game 13 - The Steelers D- Shut out the Buccs 46-0. Game 14 - Looking for one last win the Buccs went all out and lost to the Steve Grogan led Patriots 58-21. Final Season Record : Tampa Bay 1-Win 13-Loss 233-PF 509-PA Yet I still may make the rating a little worse for the Buccs, I want this to be the most challenging team to play a season with ever. Spurrier threw for 42% Completion for the season. The Playoff teams for the 1976 Playoffs. Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4) at Baltimore Colts (12-2) Denver Broncos (wc) (11-3) at Oakland Raiders (11-3) Minnesota Vikings (10-4) at San Francisco 49ers (11-3) Washington Redskins (wc) (10-4) at Dallas Cowboys (10-4) Now on to the graphic portion of editing. Helmets not my favorite. If anyone wants to help it would be greatly appreciated.
  12. In the Rom editing section I have a poll about this rom. After you play it a little go answer the poll question if you don't mind. Thanks
  13. I think it is working properly now. I made some adjustments that are hard to explain. There was some messed up code and a few of the numbers in the code for sorting wild cards were off. Test it out and see if it does what you want now. 20fixed.nes
  14. For the wild card, you have to change which team is the first in each conference but you also have to change how many teams are in each conference or how many are to be sorted or some such thing. The playoff code works as such. (Each conference is sorted separately and you can have more than 2 conferences if you want) The division winners are determined The division winners are sorted The division winners are placed in the brackets The game takes all of the other teams as determined by the code (this is where your problem is occurring) and sorts them for the wild cards The wild cards are determined The wild cards are placed in the brackets Your rom needs some of the parameters for the wild card sorting changed. I will try to find my notes and take a look at it. I still plan to make a playoff editing guide at some point in the future but have not had a chance to yet, but it is in my good intentions pile.
  15. I have uploaded my little edit of the original Tecmo Bowl to make it a 2015-16 NCAA Rom. Let me know what you think of it. I edited all of the stats and players based on individual stats and team depth charts. Try it out and let me know which teams are your favorite to play as. I am putting a poll here for that purpose. My 1970 TSB Rom is almost ready, making progress on the 1976 Rom as well.

This is a little edit to get you ready for the college playoffs this year, just in time for Christmas. I have been playing as UNC and having a great time with this ROM. I hope everyone enjoys!

  18. I don't have my notes with me but there is a place where you have to change how many teams are in each conference.
  19. Hey CoachMac, Today I input the Colts and Vikings for the 1976 rom. Colts QB Bert Jones (who was 1st team all pro) RS - 25 RP - 69 MS - 19 HP - 13 PS - 75 PC - 75 PA - 81 APB - 50
  20. The 1970 season Rom is almost ready. I still have to do some research on the race of some of the players. I also need someone to help with two of the helmets. I can create t h e helmets I want in the helmet editor but then it erases all facemask for the big helmets. Can anyone help? If not I will have to release 1970 without the new helmets for the Skins aand Eagles.
  21. I just entered the data for the 76 Steelers tonight. Their defense is just crazy, only 8 of the starters made the pro bowl that year. Played as the Buccs against the Steelers. Made a field goal with 30 sec left to avoid the shut out, for a final of pit-70 tb -3. Spurrier was awesome for the Buccs 25% for 65yrs and 3int also fumbled 2x in the end zone both of which were re covered for tds by Steelers.
  22. Coming Soon! Carther's TSB roms from 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976 and 1977. 1970 is about 95% done, simming perfect, game play awesome, only graphical details to go. I was going to do them in order, but I am too hyped to be able to give you the worst team in nfl history the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, whose coach John Robinson when asked "What do you think of your team's execution." said, "I'm in favor of it." I am not a good tecmo player in any remote definition of the word. However I played in preseason mode as the 1969 Dallas Cowboys against the 76 Buccs and won 70-0. I then played as the QB Steve Spurrier led Buccs and only managed to lose 45-3 still in preseason mode. So next will be 1976 and then probably back to 1971. When I am finished you will be able to use my roms to play from Super Bowl I (1966) to Super Bowl XII (1977) the last year of having only 14 games in the regular season and only 4 AFC and 4 NFC teams make the playoffs. I don't know if I will ever do 1978+ (actually I have teams done for 1979 already) but 1966 - 1977 completes a nice era. After that you have 1978-1989 the 28 team, 16 games season, 5 playoff teams per conference era. Anyway. Look for these roms to be coming soon.
  23. Bart Starr then Aaron Rodgers then Brett Favre. Championships Matter. Starr doesn't have the numbers the other two have but they don't have his championships. Plus when he play they actually used to run the ball.
  24. The data supports this. When I use the total sim offense +sim defense from the original nes rom and rank from 1 to 28 and then take the run def rank + pass def rank from the 1990 season from Pro-football-reference and rank 1-28 and compare the two it supports this. Wow the Bills were over-rated and the Steelers under-rated and the Chargers totally dissed on the original cart but everyone else looks good. tsbdefrankchart.xls
