  1. My older brother would annoy the hell out of me using the Nose Tackle trick with Green Bay... after a couple of games, we agreed to outlaw that strategy in order to avoid some serious altercations...
  2. I have had some of my best receiving games with good ol' Al Toon from the Jets... too bad injuries cut his career short...
  3. I really like STB1 for the SNES as well... so far, I've modified all the jerseys to reflect their new colors, but as far as players and teams, I'll just mess around here and there... I once recreated the 2003 Champion Bucs, that was fun... but then I'll still need to recreate all other teams...
  4. What an excellent topic, Carther. My neighbor who was a year older than me was the first kid in the neighborhood to own a Nintendo. He had some vintage classics, like Zelda, Ice Hockey, Mach Rider, and soon got the O-G Tecmo Bowl. It was real easy for me to get into at first, since the Niners were my favorite team at the time, and they were one of the better teams on the game... he always played as Oakland and ran the Bo Jackson play... Then my older brother would come over and play as New York and own all of us with Lawerance Taylor... good times, indeed...
  5. -Right when I hit the 1-yard line, and there's little to no opponent resistance, I like to run laterally to the opposite side of the field and hit the endzone just before they can tackle me... Yeah, the CPU hates that...
  6. -I believe I read somewhere that the max QB rating achieved in the NFL is 158.3. I'm pretty sure Manning got this in the Colts win over the Broncos in the first round of the playoffs...
  7. Just like J-Diddy and Avoid Lloyd, I, too, line up with the receiver before I pass the ball... I believe this also reduces the chance of a defender jumping up and swatting the ball away, or even worse, picking it off and taking it to the house... Also, as a DB, even if there are receivers going deep, I try to stay between the QB and the WR, because whenever the QB overthrows his man, the CPU automatically makes me dive for the ball, and the receiver ends up jumping and catching, then getting an extra 10 yards on me because I'm on my ass. Pat Beach, I will accept your challenge. I'm pretty quick, myself...
  8. I just simultaneously figured out that A) TSBM is compatible to ALL TSB roms, and I am a moron. Thank you for resisting the urge to set me on fire.
  9. Does one exist? If so, where can I obtain this?
  10. That and the Madden Series gameplay (on SNES) tends to be too sloppy at times...
  11. Yeah, running that late in the season is NUTS. I just got off a season with the Oilers... First 8 games- White 1266 yards rushing Last 8 games- White 1601 yards rushing... so that's only 335... But then Warren Moon also had about another 125...
  12. When just the audible pops up on the CPU side, that indicates they haven't shifted... but if you see players move as the audible pops up, then they've audibled and changed their coverage... But if they're on offense and have similar formations to their run and pass plays... you may never know...
  13. Interesting.... I'm gonna have to try that out...
  14. If you used the '93 Raiders, you should have used Wright for your RB. His Max Speed is 63, and he's the 4th-string receiver, so his Receptions rating isn't very high, anyway...
