  1. The ROM I used last year just had the problem with the team rankings. Once I shortened the names that problem was corrected. Thanks!
  2. With the start of the 2004 season, I'm trying to develop a college based Tecmo Super Bowl ROM that has a Mountain West Conference flavor. (I'm a Utah fan living out here in the wasteland where BCS bowl berths are a virtual impossibility and the biggest prize teams in the league can play for is a berth in the Liberty Bowl.) I'd like to start off with a ROM that already has fairly up to date NCAA rosters, replace the 2 4-team divisons with teams and players from the 8 teams in the MWC, and leave the other 20 teams in place. It seems every ROM I find out there has some nuance or challenge with it that makes it unsuitable for my needs. What I am hoping to find is a ROM with the following attributes: 1. The ROM must have the standard 17-week schedule with 16 games per team as I want to modify the schedule so all 8 MWC teams play each other. (A few ROMS have been hacked to have teams just play 11 games apiece and I find the TSB manager software I use crashes when I try to modify the schedule.) 2. The ROM needs to include a few teams with a 1 RB 3 WR offensive starting formation. I've seen at least one ROM that has "fixed" all the teams to have 2 RB and 2 WR and I really want to have Utah (who uses a one running back 4 receiver formation most of the time) to use the 1 RB 3 WR setup. 3. I'd like the Team Rankings for offense and defense to work and display correctly. (A few ROMs seem to have become corrupted in this part and display incomplete listings here.) 4. Hopefully the rosters are somewhat up to date (within a year or so.) If anyone knows of such a ROM, I would be very grateful. Note that it isn't essential that the ROM automatically save the current standings and statistics after each game as the emulator I use has commands to save and restore game states. Thanks in advance
  3. Yeah. I'm waiting for a 'patch' that edits the half time shot of the cheerleader blowing the kiss. (OK so I'm in a naughty mood today!)
  4. Not really Tecmo related, but this reminds of the time on the Simpsons that Nelson Muntz (the bully of the neighborhood) is QB on Bart's little league football team. Nelson picks up and carries Bart in one hand and the ball in his other hand and runs forward using Bart to knock down the defenders. After knocking down most of the other team, he gets to the one yard line and runs about halfway sideways across the field so he can knock down the last defender before scoring.
  5. I can't remember which custom ROM I saw it on (I usually skip halftime anyway) but in at least one ROM out there the programmer removed the white panties on the cheerleader that is doing the splits.
  6. I went and downloaded the latest version of fcue. Game genie codes are working like a charm now.
  7. How exactly does one enter a Game Genie code with the FCEU program? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  8. At least one of the "hacks" I've seen (can't remember which one) removed the white panty.
  9. romnation.net is a bit tedious at first with the forced voting, but they do a have a very large selection to choose from. I just wish they didn't have all those silly ads for anime porn as I would prefer not to have one of my co-workers see that on my screen
  10. In TSB, I've seen the offensive team pick up a blocked field goal and run with it for the first down a few times. I've even seen at least one TD scored in this manner. The actual NFL rules do not allow this. The kicking team can recover a blocked field goal and retain possession if it wasn't on fourth down, but cannot advance the ball once they recover it unless the defensive team touches the ball down field.
  11. Swap meets can be a great place to look for this sort of stuff at a dirt cheap price. The swap meet near my home usually has Nintendo games for 5 bucks or less, systems for a bit more than that. Sometimes garage sales will have systems (often with a lot of games) really cheap too.
  12. Wow that looks like an English Premiere League game score.
  13. Does anyone else out there use the Microsoft Sidewinder game pad? It's perfect for Tecmo Bowl (and other sports games too) It's sort of in an upside-down V shape. The sides are sort of cylindrical and fit very comfortably into your hands. It has the directional pad on the left side, and has 6 buttons on the right side which are easily programmed with most Nintendo emulators.
  14. You need to download the Lunar IPS utility from SBlueman's site. Very easy to use, just run it and it prompts you for the name of the IPS file, and the name of the ROM file. (Not sure of the order) One thing to remember is to use a completely clean version of the original TSB rom before starting.
  15. Had something a bit unusual occur last night that I can't remember ever seeing before in many years of TSB. I earned a first down just barely inside the 10 yard line making it 1st down and goal. (So I can't possibly make a first down, I can only make a touchdown at this point.) The next play I was tackled just short of the goal line, and was shown the "movie" of the chains indicating I was just short of the first down.
