  1. Mario Benimaru New Orleans Saints, #4, QB Steve Young's face thanx
  2. i'll admit two music bytes in tecmo give me the chills/thrills the one that gives me chills is the injury music like many have already pointed out; esp. when it's to a key player i like the touchdown music when you pass for a td, the animation w/ the music is just tight
  3. peebles does get injured every time he's out there
  4. being a saints fan, here are a few names that come to mind qb - danny wuerffel qb - doug neussmeier rb - vaughn dunbar rb - derek brown rb - ray zellars rb - wilmont perry wr - wesley carroll wr - lindsay scott wr - sherrod gideon wr - mercury hayes te - austin wheatley te - irv smith k - russell erlxeban (one of the many reminders that the saints are terrible, taking a kicker in the first round!!!) p - idk dl - shawn knight dl - joel smeenge dl - brady smith dl - juliam pittman lb - reggie freedman lb - demond winston lb - donald jones lb - james williams db - terry hoage db - vince buck db - reginald jones db - sean lumpkin and i think that about does it, we saints have a long line of futility in the draft
  5. I've pondered the same thing myself as I've gotten some insane qb ratings after the first couple of weeks in tecmo.
  6. i'm from austin too and although nameless loser has contacted me on trying to get some games in i haven't had the time i've been hard @ work this semester probably won't be able to make the dallas trip seeing as the only time i went was to go see the longhorns get smoked by the sooners
  7. i just checked deuce's cleat, keion carpenter is still there p.s. the broom is ours until next season
  8. dalton hilliard and eric martin are the two lone guys that prevent that team from being absolutely atrocious steve walsh is a joke pat swilling is respectable however...for some strange reason brett maxie perenially winds up in the top 10-15 of dbs in INTs at the end of the year..yet when i control him, i can't seem to get crap go figure
  9. my 1st game of tecmo bowl was over at one of my friend's house...his name was robby but i don't even talk to the guy anymore...in fact it's been about 10 years since i've even remotely hung out with him...come to think of it...i don't even know what happened to him...uh anyways i was over at robby's and he pops in tecmo bowl, i was denver and he was san francisco..i don't remember the score but at that age i was more enthused with how many times i could successfully fill up the kicking meter all the way up just so i had the opportunity to scream "FULL BLAST!!" however, being a die-hard saints fan i longed for the team from the bayou and soon enough my prayers were answered w/ tsb. when i heard all 28 teams on one cart i nearly shit my pants. i remember that it took me a while to get used to the game since the characters were sized smaller than their TB counterparts, however after i got into the swing of things i never looked back...i tore apart seattle in the first season game with the saints and never looked back. back in those days, tsb was the only way the saints would ever win the super bowl
  10. i don't even know if charles is the best cb on his team! he's got a guy named buchanon on the other side and is the boy sure making a name for himself... if i was asked to take either charles or phillip "put a gun to my head and i just might take buchanon"
  11. it's really not that hard to do, like moonwalk said all you have to really do is play it on your keyboard, and since NES is all midi anyway you know it came from a keyboard in the first place i can play several songs from the mario series on keyboard
  12. outside of swilling, the saints lbs are pretty much horrid
  13. i'm not arguing about woodson i'm just saying the quote about dawkins just might be a little biased considering the source is his own teammate
  14. what were you expecting him to say? i mean dawkins is vincent's own teammate, it's not like he's gonna go "man this guy blows, he's only worth the licks that he puts on the other guys, but aside from that just call him stonehands"
  15. ah yes dick "night train" lane
  16. i'll be in austin from the 12th on through the end of the spring semester, just hit me up online w/ updated info when you get it
  17. i'll always remember ty law for being the one that got outleaped by michael westbrook on the mail mary from kordell stewart
  18. ty law, ronde barber, pat surtain, chris mcallister............
  19. the reason vick even got 1 passing yard this year?
  20. johnny u i have no argument against but vick is NOT a pocket passer, in fact he might be the worst
  21. scott, we're talking about the quarterback position the way it was meant to be played, not this running around out of the pocket etc, when you think quarterback you think of passing and danny marino was a paragon of the ideal passer. he had a rocket arm, he threw for about a million yards and he also went to the super bowl his rookie year (even though he lost). when you talk strictly about playing quarterback by its fundamental definition (and that's passing) danny marino played it like no one else, except for, of course, montana and i hate the niners
  22. danny marino is the best qb to ever play the game aside from joe montana, he blows away elway by a landslide
  23. that year was the shiz, the penguins had an all-star starting line RD - Larry Murphy LD - Ulf Samuelsson RW - Jaromir Jagr C - Mario Lemieux LW - Kevin Stevens man the good ol' days, i love the pens
  24. and i mean no one tops the heartbreak kid
