  1. 10 Yard fight is fun with a human... it's not very fun against the CPU... John Elway was a good game, but we kept using the reverse trick so the fun kinda went away. I remember liking play action football, and I have used copy that I'll admit I bought and haven't played yet.
  2. Toes? I actually learned how to play with my toes when I broke my arm, and couldn't play video games for about a month. I can't say I'm great, but I can at least control a good amount of what I'm doing...
  3. I don't think you should be on the boards if you don't have your own TSB copy. True fans have sought them out. But I won't hold it against those of you that don't.
  4. Yes, the unthinkable. For some strange reason I have started an all COM vs. COM season. I was wondering when we talked about the computer breaking records while auto-simmed, what would the computer do if the attributes really mattered? Right now I'm three weeks in, a few notables are the Bills, 49ers and Raiders are 3-0, the Rams and Colts 0-3. Jeff George has the 4th highest QB ratings... and Thurmal is already to, yes you're going to read this right, 450 yards and 9 TDs. (Only on pace for 2400 yards and 48 TDs) I'll post more as it cranks along.
  5. Kickers today are worse... between expansion and the salary cap... honestly, if you had to cut someone for cap space, isn't the kicker a nice place to do it? A great example if my favorite Vanderjerk... he doesn't even kick off a year after he was perfect on field goals... he can't be that good, can he?
  6. I know I'll have the tradtionallist scream bloody murder... but assuming this fix works... I'd like to see it in a lot of roms... I think making guys that are truly fast punt returners get their dues and guys like Muster not return would take Tecmo to another level. It's not changing what the programmers intended... it's changing their error.
  7. I'll do my Tecmo Duty with the colts... and if it's really that easy I might crank out some more
  8. So who wants to edit a couple of roms where they get each ratings. The NES colts and the SNES Pats... and start playing some COM vs. COM games. I *might* tommorow. But don't hold your breath
  9. I honestly didn't like TSB when I was a kid. My best friend had it, we played maybe once a month, but I didn't do it for me until College. Then my friends got me into it.
  10. I'm still a fan of "You can stop (last name), you can only hope to contain him!" Maybe if I'm in a good mood Flipper Anderson can start the great song to Flipper the TV show.
  11. I don't know what the rest of your ratings are like... but I think Urlacher is significantly better than Lewis in your rom, instead of slightly better. I'd lower Urlacher's MS, raise Lewis's MS and even out the RS. But that's me.
  12. I like the name and the pic... but no I know nothing to help you.
  13. I'm not a programmer, but I'd assume anything is *possible*. Let's just say from what I read it's like space travel was once... possible, but way off in the future.
  14. Year TM | G | Comp Att PCT YD Y/A TD INT | Att Yards TD 1972 chi | 14 | 75 198 37.9 1246 6.3 9 12 | 141 968 8 Don't know if that'll line up, but a 37.9% completion rate, 9 TDs to 12 INTs, under 100 yards passing a game... makes you wonder if he really was a QB, the backup QB and a HB, or what. Just seems too small for a starting quarterback, ya know?
  15. Kinda looking for roms during this time... on an internet search I found a hack from I want to say BG... but of course I can't get it downloaded. Any directions to these roms that anyone has would be wonderful. Thanks in advance.
  16. Good work! Looks like it'll be fun... a couple things, some I'm not sure if are possible... Is it possible to rename the divisions within the rom? And Jim Kelly should have the icon that looks like him... I want to say the first one really looks like Jim...
  17. 1994 Season 5 of 10. Almost there. Enter Faulk and Harbaugh. This rom has a few backs that when they are gone... are actually gone. Was the Colts defense anytime? 1994 Indianapolis Colts- 11-5, 1st AFC East 2nd straight Super Bowl loss. The VIKINGS won... changing history forever. But I think I played a solid half of the game... just trailed off toward the end. Scores Oilers 0 Colts 44 Bucs 21 Colts 38 Steelers 14 Colts 24 Fins 19 Colts 10 Browns 0 Colts 54 Seahawks 17 Colts 23 OT Bills 38 Colts 14 Jets 5 Colts 40 Redskins 6 Colts 31 Jets 10 Colts 25 Bengals 27 Colts 21 Patriots 21 Colts 28 Seahawks 35 Colts 10 Patriots 24 Colts 17 Fins 7 Colts 31 Billy 7 Colts 19 Browns 14 Colts 42 Seahawks 14 Colts 21 Vikings 41 Colts 23 Personal notes- The jersey colors get closer, but still so so. I won the division for the first time, which was indeed exciting. It'll be interesting as we move away from actual Tecmo ratings (from TSB2 or 3). Harbaugh is the man. Leaders- Passing Harbaugh 106/185, 2433 Yds, 33 TDs, 9 INTs Rushing Faulk 94 for 679, 11 TDs Potts 84 for 356, 5 TDs Receiving Dawkins- 20 for 642, 14 TDs Cash- 22 for 455, 4 TDs Faulk, Potts- each 16 for 238/255 and 1 TD Defense Coryatt 35 Sacks McCoy 12 Sacks Tate 2 Sacks, 1 INT
  18. I've got a '92 rom on the 10 year challenge site... bascially a rip from TSBII with minimal mods. After I complete the challenge (which I'll have all 10 roms from), I'll clean up the roms to put up here.
  19. Rod, A. Wallace (#40) is in the 3rd WR spot... which in the Run and Shoot is the 4th RB. The first site I used (http://www.jt-sw.com/football/pro/standings.nsf/Seasons/1993) has Nickerson on PIT... but it seems you are correct on that one. Another fun error (as I'm working on this rom, you find 'em), Yancey Thigpen isn't in TBS II or III... and as with Dickerson in TSB, there isn't a RB Colts or WR Steelers. Curious if we've ever solved that mystery...
  20. ANother error I'm just now noticing while making a '94 rom. Kelvin Martin didn't exist in TSBII or III... despite the fact he was the 'boys third reciever all those years.
  21. To Rod's post, sorry it took so long, stat wise, all I really would like is your records. To me this is a personal challenge, be it whatever level you're at. If for you it's to go 160-0, then that's your goal. If it's to win one superbowl, that's your goal. The website is updated with my results to date, and the 1992 and 1993 roms for the challenge. Searching for 1994 to keep on chuggin.
  22. 1993 Season Season four, the end of the George era, the last pre-Marshall year. The gap widened between the teams that are there and the has beens... and I break the 10-6 streak! 1993 Indianapolis Colts- 9-7 2nd AFC East Lost in the big show this year... the 49ers were simply too much for my undertalented roster. Didn't help that I lost THREE running backs in this game. Steve Young is the QB Eagles of '93 (Real 1993 Colts, 4-12, 5th AFC East) Scores Dolphins 17 Colts 40 Bengals 12 Colts 38 Bills 31 Colts 35 Browns 20 Colts 33 Cowboys 21 Colts 16 Broncos 40 Colts 14 Dolphins 3 Colts 31 Patriots 27 Colts 28 Skins 30 Colts 28 Jets 34 Colts 29 Chargers 17 Colts 14 Giants 28 Colts 40 Jets 31 Colts 24 Eagles 17 Colts 43 Patriots 24 Colts 14 Bills 21 Colts 28 Playoffs Raiders 14 Colts 39 Oilers 15 Colts 45 Broncos 26 Colts 33 49ers 34 Colts 24 Personal notes- The jersey colors wern't the best choices on this rom, sorry about that if you pick this one up to play. I snuck into the playoffs with two teams losing the last two games of the season, so that was lucky. Next year enter Marshall, enter Harbaugh, so it'll be the first time I'll be without George, Johnson, Verdin... a true roster overhaul will force me to relearn my go to guys. Leaders- Passing- George 69/105, 1925 Yds, 27 TDs 6 INTs Rushing- Johnson 80 for 351, 3 TDs Culver 68 for 320, 6 TDs Receiveing- Langhorne 32 for 1151, 21 TDs Dawkins 12 for 585 7 TDs Cash 14 for 498, 6 TDs Defense- Coryatt 40 Sacks Clancy 23 Sacks 1 INT Goode 5 INTs
  23. Hey guys, lookin' again for any '94 roms... or suggestions if I should start with TSB3 rosters... or any helpful hints before I embark on this journey of fun. PS No longer a water boy!
  24. So far in my 90's seasons the leaders had 21,24,31
  25. I know there was a discussion about errors in the rosters of TSB II, and in the middle of my completion of the rosters for the 90's, I'm finding errors, so I'm going to start a list. 1993 Atlanta- #40 A. Wallace... I can't find an A. Wallace anywhere. Pats- I believe K Patriots is Scott Sisson. Steelers/Bucs- Hardy Nickerson is on the Bucs instead of the Steelers
