  1. but i understand it that if you put a team on comp for a whole season that team will always make it to the superbowl
  2. i love the save/load feature and sometimes when i am really bored i try to think of different ways of using it to deduce exactly how the game is programmed. for example, in what situations the computer will call a certain play. I just thought of another challenge but its a little too tedious even for me to try so if anyone wants to have a go at it tell me what happens: since you can't score more than 99 points i was wondering what if both teams scored 99 points in regulation (2player game using save/load, scoring on every kickoff return), then how would the game be decided in overtime?? would the first person to score automatically win because they scored? or would you score the touchdown, but then the computer sees that the score is still 99-99 and make you kick the extra point then kickoff again? also, and this is way way too tedious for me to try, but it would be interesting to play every single game of the regular season to a tie and see how the playoff teams are selected.
  3. say I want to watch a game, hands off, the computer against computer. if i go to the team select screen and make one of the teams the computer and leave the other team on skip then the computer will win. if i put both on computer then the game will be a tie or if its a playoff game it will never end. so how do i do it?
  4. no you smart/dumbass, like i said in my post i sign onto aol with a IP/Lan connection meaning that I am already connected to the internet before i sign onto aol. as soon as windows starts up i am connected to the internet
  5. I can never load this website using internet explorer. It always tries to open the site but after 30 seconds it says "cannot find server". But when I go on aol (using isp/lan connection) the aol browser immediately opens the site, then that seems to fix my explorer browser because then explorer can open the site. What is going on??? A couple of days ago before i found out aol opens the site just fine i thought that the site was down.
  6. no you are not thinking of it correctly. what i mean is you run around avoiding tackles, and every second or two, while there is nobody around you that is a threat, you save. eventually you will get tackled, but right after you get tackled you can reload to the point where there isnt a threat nearby. because you are saving every second or two, while you are in the open, time advances. of course it will revert back to the saved time when you reload but the next time you save will be a moment later. i do this all the time when i am bored or want to do something i have never done before like return a punt 90 yards for a td, or score 99 pts in a game by scoring on every play. but for a feat like returning a punt that distance i would have to reload maybe 30 times during the play. theres gotta be a lot more of you out there who like to do this
  7. it's really quite simple. quickness is how fast a player changes direction, or starts from a standing position
  8. I was thinking it would be pretty cool if someone were to make a movie of a run play, or even a kickoff return play, that uses up the whole quarter. Of course you would have to use the save/load feature a bunch of times, and then edit the movie to get rid of all the times you are tackled and reload, but is that even possible? using the save/load feature while recording and then editing a movie? Anyone up for it? Am I the only one who thinks its fun to just run around the field a whole quarter, saving when i'm out in the open and then loading when i get tackled?
  9. I can only think of 3. Darrel Green and Tim Brown, still on same teams!! and Jerry Rice on a different team. Are those the only guys?
  10. Do you consider it cheating? I think it adds more fun to the game because you can either make a superman, or make the game much harder by creating a whole team of average players or even a whole team that sucks. One thing I've noticed is that when you are first creating a player the points that you have to assign to him keep varying as you go back and forth between the list of all players/positions and the screen for that one player. For example if you select a position to create a player at, it might give you 100 points, but if you go back to the select a position screen, then select that position again it might give you 200 points to work with. You just have to keep going back and forth between screens and you will eventually get a lot of points to work with. By doing that I was able to get 190 to give to my running back. I gave him 100 pts in running spd, and 90 pts in quickness, and he was a superstar right from his first game. He had 5,500 yds rushing his first season, and now in his 2nd season has a 31 yard average per carry. In fact if I am anywhere beyond my own 40 yd line I wont run him because i want to maximize his average.
