  1. yeah I haven't posted in a while cant shake the tecmo bug
  2. This will fix LAs endzone for the nfl patch x11334=B0B9B9B3B3020202B9B9B9BAB5B9B9AD
  3. File->Apply Patch The patch should be in the same directory as the tecmo bowl manager exe which is program files/tecmo bowl manager - unless you installed it somewhere else
  4. If you're using emuware's manager there is an "apply patch" option that will put NFL in each endzone, but there is a 'dead' spot in LA's right side endzone that cant be edited - no one has ever documented how to fix it as far as I know Hex location of endzones: 11454-11C29 Putting diff team names in each end zone 'used' to be pretty much impossible because the teams share letters for example changing the D in Denver also changes Dallas
  5. I could tell you how to edit a large majority of the game - but I've never figured out how to make the hitters perform any diff from the orginal. It's possible the players go through streaks like BL2 and the no.4 hitters are just hard coded to be awesome. That stuff is over my head. Bases Loaded 07.zip
  6. Crazy I had a ton of messages about this game. 7. There have been other threads like this and no one ever agrees on any one game besides tsb. The thing about tsb is there really was no competition until madden came along, most of the other football games were horrible. There were many decent baseball games for the nes. I think it just depends on what you owned/played the most. IMO
  8. I made a step by step for the changing the midfield logo a while ago, the site it was on was shut down so heres the doc I also donated it to romhacking.net backgrounds.zip

From what I have in my notes, x2CAAF is the midfield logo, I also posted that on the board somewhere. Without digging into the rom right now to get exact locations, 2CAAF is not the exact start of the logo, but somewhere in the middle. The other tiles are around the same area, so search up or down from that location for specific hex values (get the hex values of the tile from nesticle or fceuxd).

The playbook change during game is working for me. Each teams' playbooks are the same as the original, as are the ratings.

    CFL

The goal posts have been moved to the goal line and I fixed the main menu so the tsb managers wont mess it up. The file is updated in the first post.
  12. Reset the schedule. You could reset each teams' OF starters, but the schedule will reset everything. Just looking to reset the .sav file basically.

I dont know how to resize the field or move the goal posts, but what I could do is move the graphics of the goal post and change the yard marker graphics to make it appear like a 110 yard field.

Thanks for the comp. Let me rephrase that: I wont be doing the rosters so if anyone else wants to, go for it. Send me a copy plez

I made a CFL rom, it needs rosters though.. hacks included: 3 downs (JStout) 1 timeout 4-3 defense (Brudogg/JStout) Playbook change during game (Cxrom) Dedicated returners (Jstout) use PA (Jstout) Thanks to Jstout for sharing your logo storage BMP Tecmo Grey Cup.zip
  16. Sweet idea, thanks for checking it out Jstout. How much did people play test this? I cant get through one game because it freezes up. I'm just curious what happens if say a WR is injured, how does that reflect on the 4 wide set?

heh, the green kickoff bar was from rose bowl 2. His field is a replica of rose bowl 2 and the green is just a side effect of the way the field is set up that I didn't know how to fix at the time. The new plays are sweet. Nice job on the rom!

It looked like you found the location of the midfield logo in hex, the left side of the logo is up from that location and the right side is down further. I replaced the black tiles with green ones.

I fixed your midfield logo. I changed around the colors a little so the kickoff bar isn't green. I made it dark blue, you can change it to whatever at x2C41A NCAA 2007- Playbook.zip
  20. Ah, the never ending sim confusion... You have to set the values by hand because 'auto' doesn't take receiving ability into effect which is actually KR and PR. (look at receiver's ratings on the original, like Rice) Giving Brady a '3' for pocket might make him run less when he's cpu controlled.
  21. Thanks Tom. Supermanxxx, dude I'm not trying to be a dick, but you have NO IDEA what your are talking about. First off, I made a tsb snes 2006 with updated helmets and endzones. Second, dont compare hacking graphics and rosters to hacking the necessary assembly language for adding more teams. Third, the nes 32 team is possible because of a hacking tool/emulator called fceuxd, and nothing like that exists for the snes. I was already around the tecmo scene in 2001 when JG games posted the link to that game on tecmo super bowl heaven's message board. no one has spent countless hours. I've been around the hacking scene since 2000 and have learned a lot of stuff from scratch. It's a lot easier for someone with a background in programming (such as cxrom) to pick up on 6502 or 65816 (nes and snes) languages. What you look at in a hex editor is not a language, you need a program such as a debugger or compiler to make any sense out of it. The nes 32 team rom exists because of a program/emulator called fceuxd that allows you to see what code is being executed at certain points in the game. No program like it exists for snes.
  22. Who said that? People maybe say that referring to making a 32 team snes rom - trying to make people understand that it wont happen anytime soon.
  23. and it's basically impossible to do a snes one because the hacking software does not exist.
  24. I think so. But I think rushing works ok with just one. I cant remember which is which for KR and PR but I think one controls REC for WR and one is Carriers for RB
  25. Tecmo Turd prolly answered your question ok. I just wanted to add that pointers are just the modified offset of the start of the text. So you'd change it to reflect the new offset of the start of each text string. BILLSDOLPHINS so B is the first pointer and D is the second. Did you read the mad hackers pointer doc Its for nes, but pointers work the same for snes and prolly genesis. snes is easier than nes from my experience because you usually dont have to subtract x000. I posted the links because it kinda drives me nuts to ask hacking questions on a tecmo super bowl forum vs a hacking forum. (no offense, a lot of people do it) There are only a few people around here who can answer hacking questions.
