  1. Thanks much. The playoffs were moderately tough, but I attribute that to playing as the Patriots. 17 point win vs Miami, 10 points vs Buffalo, 10 vs Houston (the team I started the season with!) and a 7 point win in the Super Bowl vs the Eagles and an excellent (duh) QB Eagles
  2. Thanks much, guys. Anyone have a handy link explaining just how juiced players are depending on records/etc?
  3. Thanks. I know that, but I wasn't sure if the playoffs were a blank slate or continued to take records into account. I'm usually 16-0 going into the playoffs, so the aforementioned 9-7 playoff venture is something brand new to me.
  4. Surprisingly, I've never done this before, and I am curious about it. I'm back home visiting my parents, and decided to bust out tsb (of course). I started a season with Houston, but after going 7-0, I wanted to challenge myself. So I switched to NE, who was 2-7, and eeked into the playoffs with a 9-7 record. Now, I know the regular season gets more difficult late on when you're 12-0, but because New England was in such a hole, it was very easy all the way out. Since I'm 9-7, will the playoffs be especially easy as well, or is everything wiped and reset to the same standard playoff difficulty?
  5. The Cards have a few players with hidden god-stats. Look at their safety (Lonnie Young?). If you pick it off, he WILL score a TD. Only player on the game that I can consistently get more than 10 yards with post-pick.
  6. When I see PHX on my schedule, I immediately have 2 thoughts: 1) Vai Sikahema is going to get injured 2) Defensive gameplan: Stop JJ
  7. Your Nebraska is showing. I wear mine around all the time.
  8. This looks incredible. Regretfully, I'm too far away--but I emailed an old tecmo buddy who now lives in Cincinnati (and, coincidentally, loves David Fulcher). He's in. He's so very, very in.
  9. I was an everyday poster back near the beginning of all this...then I went to grad school. Then I found this website again...then I disappeared again for five years. I'm back, and I'm going to try to post more often. Originally from Nebraska (Knobbe and I had a mutual friend if I remember correctly), I ended up moving to Manhattan, KS--and now I'm living in Washington DC. So yeah. That's me. Grogan. Master of the Rainbow.
  10. I was so excited for the game, but after two or so games, I really ran out of motivation for it. Besides the a button/b button switch, the lack of season really kills this for me. Very, very disappointed.
  11. Holy cow--I haven't been here in years (something that causes me untold amounts of grief), but knew I HAD to log in when I saw the deadspin article. It was excellent, and your quotes are perfect.
  12. I question the Rams being in B. Though, only 3 tiers makes it difficult, because I don't know if you consider them High B or Low B...
  13. it'd most likely take re-coding, which i guess would be possible. But by simply plugging in a ps3 controller to the emulator or what have you--no, don't think so.
