  1. After months of working on the game I have finally completed the final version of Tecmo Super Bowl 2002, just in time for the Super Bowl! My site is located at: http://www.tecmosuperbowl.net/ Please feel free to check out my site and let me know what you think. You can sign my guestbook, email me at [email protected] or IM me on AOL at SBlueman Radio. So to all those who check it out I hope you enjoy!
  2. Just giving this thread a bump just in case anyone needs some help with the sim code.
  3. I agree with Scott. Variety is good, I think a rom that plays fast or one that is close to the original Tecmo feel can be equally as fun. I usually end up making a version for myself that plays faster so it's more of a challenge. For the 2001 game I put together, I had one with player attributes that were close to the original Tecmo feel and one that played fast. I have both versions on my site at http://www.tecmosuperbowl.net/
  4. I just finished running 20 simulated seasons and here are the results. The numbers in parenthesis show how many times the team either won the division, got a wild card birth, won their conference and the Super Bowl. Hopefully I will have this game out by Super Bowl sunday.
  5. Kronic, you are also a die hard Bills fan though. You have to be able to separate your biased love for the team for the way Travis Henry is precieved. Many NFL scouts will tell you that Travis Henry is a talented back who also benefits from an offense that is so dangerous passing the ball that there are clear lanes for him to run in. He is a good slasher, hits the hole hard, has good balance but he is fumble prone and a bit stiff. With that said, here are the stats for Henry in my game: RS: 31 RP: 69 MS: 50 HP: 31 BC: 38 REC: 44
  6. You are correct sir and I have adjusted the WR stats in my game. If you'd like to see my progress, email me at [email protected] and i'll send you a copy. I am almost done and I think I might be able to release my final version Super Bowl Sunday.
  7. I believe that lots of the edited attributes can't go on stats alone. Plaxico Burress might have some huge numbers, but there is a reason he is nicknamed "Plexiglass". He is notorious for dropping balls over the middle because he is soft and does not like contact. Here are his stats in my version: RS: 31 RP: 69 MS: 50 HP: 25 BC: 44 REC: 38 The sim code is edited for Burress like this: Rushing Ability: 2 Receiving Ability: 11 Punt Return Ability: 10 Kick Return Ability: 2 He still is getting his stats when the game is simulated. Stats don't tell you if the player is a tough WR to tackle, if he is strong enough to break tackles or if he is soft.
  8. I am looking for anyone who is interested in testing out a pre-release final version of my Tecmo Super Bowl 2002 game. I am hoping to get some good constructive criticism (not this sucks or this is cool, I would love some real good feedback). If anyone is interested please email me at [email protected] and I will send you the version I am working on. Thanks in advance to anyone who responds.
  9. You can listen to them live on my radio show too.....just go to my page and click on the WHIV Radio link. I run O&A shows 24/7.
  10. I was wondering if anyone had a .bin file for the first TSB for Genesis. I guess the only way you can edit it with Tecmo Manager 2000 is for the file to be a .bin file, not a .smd file. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
  11. With all the great people who are on this site and who have so much knowledge I was wondering what if we all got together and made our own version of Tecmo? I know there is a program out there that lets you make your own games. Here is a link to it: http://www.cs.uu.nl/people/markov/gmaker/ I don't know much about this program myself, and would download it myself but my PC has developed cancer and I am trying to save up for a new one. I was just throwing the idea out there.....might be worth a shot.
  12. The Playstation version was shit on a stick.....runny after-mexican food shit at that.
  13. No prob man, constructive criticism is always good. I will be releasing a final rom after the super bowl and believe me the Browns WR's will be ALOT better. They are a dangerous bunch and Northcutt is a playmaker on offense and special teams. He even returned a punt for a TD vs my Titans this year.
  14. I have about 43 Megs left in my alloted space, but I am not sure if I am going to use it all on Tecmo Roms or other games. I also have a pretty big collection of other SNES, NES and Genesis RPG roms including some that i have added translation patches to so people don't have to go thru all the trouble. I hope to maybe set up a page where people who don't have a place to have their custom roms hosted can turn to. I don't want that section to have every custom rom out there though, only the ones that really are well done. Hopefully I'll get to finishing the site by the middle of the month.
  15. I have a new address for my Tecmo website. It is at http://www.tecmosuperbowl.net/. If anyone had visited my site before the change in name you will see that I have completly redone the website. Here is what you can find on the new site: * Original Tecmo NES, SNES and Genesis Roms * SBlueman's Custom Tecmo Roms * NES, SNES and Genesis emulators * Tecmo Links * A walkthrough on what to do to play Tecmo on your PC * A page that shows my top 30 favorite games and roms of them all * A page dedicated to the Opie & Anthony Radio Show, with pictures of finalists for the Best W.O.W. Contest. Fine females all of them. I hope you all get a chance to visit and enjoy my new site. Please feel free to sign the guestbook and let me know what you think.
  16. I wanted to let people know that I have started putting together some new games for the NES version of Tecmo. What I am planning on doing is making historical roms going from 1976-1994 (the years the original NES alignment was used). this is similar to the project CNFL is putting together but I am not going as far back as 1970. So far I am complete with a 1990 version, a updated 1991 version (not like the original game where it used 1990 rosters and a 1991 schedule) and am in the middle of putting together a 1993 version at the moment. These versions will be fairly easy to put together since I can remember the players and teams from then and we have other Tecmo versions to refer to. I will be putting these games up on my site soon, so if anyone is interested please feel free to visit my site. It's at: http://www.geocities.com/tecmosuperbowl2001/ As for the college rom I was working on I have put this on hold for now. I just have not had enough time to follow the college season (thanks to my suck-ass job) and just have about half the teams completed. I hope to get back to the rom as soon as the college bowl season is done and my VCR has stopped working overtime. I also am re-doing my site and if anyone would like me to add their link on their site, please feel free to email me a link to their site as well as a quick description. All I ask is that you link my site in return.
  17. More heartbreak for an Oiler/Titans fan....one yard short.....excuse me while I go slit my wrists........
  18. Oh god...the horror....being an Oiler/Titans fan I have to say that was one of the worst days of my life.......I still have nightmares.....
  19. I remember Thurman being nicknamed "Thurmal" as well back in the day.
  20. Hopefully if Spurrier stops playing merry-go-round with the QB's Ramsey can get better stats on my final version. But while Spurrier is there he brings down the ratings for the QB's for his quick hooks.
  21. Sorry it took so long for the update. As you mentioned, some teams in the first version like the Bills reflected the pre-season predictions and not the way they have actually preformed this year. I have been really busy and just did not have time to dedicate to updating the game until recently. I hope people have fun with the latest version!
  22. I just wanted to let people know I have released my latest hacked version of Tecmo Super Bowl 2002. Feel free to visit my site: http://www.geocities.com/tecmosuperbowl2001 There will be a final release after the Super Bowl, so download this version and enjoy!
  23. I downloaded it today and so far it looks great. I have to get used to the new values though.
  24. FCE Ultra is the best in my opinion. The games run smooth and the sound is emulated perfectly. You don't get the signature "hut, hut, hut!" on NESticle, and when I have used NESten in full screen mode it has frozen up my PC a couple times. I did have to upgrade my soundcard so the sound would not skip as much, but I had to do that anyway so other emulators would work better too.
  25. Feel free to visit my site. There is a link to my site in my sig pic. I have the original game and an updated 1991 game that is more true to form for the 1991 than the 1990 season the original game simulated. There is a how-to link in the roms section that let's you know what to do so you can play on your PC. Enjoy.
